Ch 119 — Discussion With Empress

Tohrei was in the crystal for 5 months, the time Tohrei experienced was longer than others. Others were worried because of Tohrei's lack of time, but they were now able to breathe a sigh of relief because Tohrei had come out of the crystal.

Tohrei had absolutely no evolution in his magic. He only got a reply adding 7 levels to his status.

Tohrei used that empty time to go to the imperial palace, to talk about something that had been his goal ever since he came to the Aelion empire.

The alliance between Ashfriet and the Aelion Empire. Tohrei went there alone.

Arriving at the outer gate of the palace, two spears blocked the gate, holding the two spears was the gatekeeper.

“Stop there son, what are you doing here? This isn't just any place you can pass by at will.” Say one of the guards out loud.

Each of the two guards was of a fairly high level, at least they had levels above 170.

“, you, tell the empress that ashfriet lord will come to see her.” Tohrei pointed his index finger at the left guard.

The guard without saying anything else directly obeyed Tohrei's orders, because it had been mastered by the regnare skill.

“You stay here.” The right guard was instantly immobile, speechless and unable to act.

“OK, you may return to your duties, forget what has happened now.” Tohrei's word to the guard, makes him return to the gate and regain his wits.

Tohrei walked slowly towards the woman. The woman stared at the flowers with a look of solitude.

“Have you been there, lord of ashfriet? Or can I call it Dik Rei?” He turned his head towards Tohrei, noticing the whereabouts of Tohrei heading towards him.

“Dik Rei...? Do you know that name from Eri?” Tohrei was a bit surprised when the Empress mentioned that name.

Mary Annaviel Aelion, emperor of the Aelion Empire. She is the only female emperor in the history of Aelion and apart from that, she is the mother of Eriana Viel Aelion, a childhood friend of Tohrei.

“Let me, guess, you're here to discuss the alliance, right? Then sit here.” Alleged Empress on the arrival of Tohrei.

“You're very right, your highness.” Tohrei sat on the chair as soon as asked.

“You don't need to be that formal, I know how difficult it is to set your sentences for a formal conversation.”

“All tricks will not escape my eyes, the mask you wear is useless.” Say Mary casually.

The Empress had known that the Ashfriet Lord was Tohrei ever since the letter was sent. Even before that he already knew Tohrei was a friend of Eriana.

“Before, I wanted to ask, what is the status of monsters for Aelion Empire?” Tohrei asked before heading to the deal.

“Monster is an enemy to this empire because they are quite uncontrollable, for now only tamers can take care of the monsters.” Said the Empress answered briefly about the question expressed by Tohrei.

“This is one agreement in this cooperation, peace with monster.”

“Peace with monsters? Hearing you say that means you can sort of tame monsters? Or like a skill to communicate with them huh?” The Empress questioned this deal while surmising with a faint smile.

“Yah..., guess you are right, I have the skill to communicate with monsters. The language of monsters cannot be understood by humans, unless you have the language translation skill.” After saying that, Tohrei spoke again.

“But did you ever think that monsters could learn human language? I tried to do that.” Tohrei said it lightly, as if teaching someone was very easy.

“And did it work?” Ask the Empress curiously.

“Yes, it worked, but I only managed to teach some monsters with human-equivalent intelligence level anyway. Well, however not all monsters are evil, in my way it is not impossible for the Aelion empire to reconcile with monsters right?”

“Interesting, that way, it means the enemy can be reduced. It's a very big deal, what do you want in return for this?” Empress knew how powerful the monsters in Ashfriet forest were, so she certainly knew the advantage of making peace with the monsters there.
