Ch 136 — Strange Kobold

Tohrei travels through Ashfriet forest, when on his way he is stopped by some disturbing monsters.

“Huh? Have these monsters not had their capoks rioted in this forest?” Tohrei asked when he saw the swarm of Kobolds that seemed to be extremely hungry surrounding him.

“Man ... finally .. food!!” These kobolds seem to be very hungry to dare to prey on humans.

Usually the kobold only fights creatures smaller than itself to be eaten. Seeing how hungry these kobolds were, they seemed to have been on the edge.

The kobolds attacked Tohrei with simple weaponry such as cracked stone knives and spears that were willing to break. Surely with such weaponry it was impossible against Tohrei.

“Do you think of eating me? What a foolish thought.” Tohrei had unknowingly activated his passive skill which was Monster Lord.

With the Monster Lord skill, Tohrei without doing anything could subdue monsters with levels below him.

Because of that skill, the kobolds themselves submissive and undo their intention to make food.

They would definitely think that they were stupid if they intended to eat the figure in front of him, which now looked very threatening, as if he was the king of monsters.

“Hm? You guys look scared now? What the fuck? Where's your hunger?” Tohrei with a faint smile looked at the kobolds who were now kneeling before him.

As Tohrei's voice grew more intimidating, the kobolds only realized who the figure in front of them was. No other and no. It was the figure who seized this forest and made it his territory, he was the Ashfriet Forest Lord.

Cold sweat splashed down their backs, fear enveloping them as their fates looked about to be shattered. But they think of an idea that might make them survive.

“Ma-forgive me sir, ka-we're just trying to survive! Food in the woods is running low! We have no other choice!” One of the kobolves took the initiative to say that even with a slight stammer.

“Hmm?” Tohrei felt these kobolds wanted to say more than that, so he only responded with the word “Hmm”.

“O-by then, if the master pleases, can we stay in the territory of the lord in order to lose this hunger? We will definitely work hard for you sir!” They knew that the residential area built by Ashfrier forest lord was a prosperous region making such a demand.

“You want me to let you stay? Let me think about it first.”

The kobolves were very happy when they heard it. But they were expecting too high until their expectations immediately dropped.

“But in hindsight, I think it's impossible for me to accept that,” Tohrei said with a sinless smile.

“What ..?” The kobolds could only gape their mouths.

“You have dared to attack me and when you realize that I am the ruler of this forest you immediately lick, I do not need such subordinates, after all I do not need additional residents.”

“Ha-only because of that?!”

“Iya, that's it.” Tohrei still showed his smile to the kobolds.

For some reason, Tohrei used the telekinesis skill on the kobolds to make them float. They already thought that this was already the end of their history.

“I am not willing to be cruel at this time, so accept this kindness. I'll throw you guys randomly to another region, well I don't know where you're going to land.” Tohrei threw them at random with telekinesis.

After Tohrei carried out the expulsion, he resumed his journey. Tohrei enjoyed the view here. While yawning, he listened to the roar of wind blowing away the leaves in this forest.

“Oh? It seems that I am almost there,” He said as soon as he saw a large wall that stood firmly protecting a region.

The trees around the wall were cleared, so that the area around the wall could be monitored more easily by the guards. Ifrit was the one who suggested this. Tohrei headed to the area leisurely.

“Hooam, geez why does it feel sleepy today once?” A Kobold was currently guarding a wall close to the gate.

The Kobold felt like it wanted to instantly change sif, it was very noticeable from its lazy expression. However, that expression instantly disappeared once he saw a human figure seen coming out of the forest and heading to the gate.

The Kobold shook its head and immediately left to see more clearly who the human was.

“I-it!? Isn't that Mr Tohrei?!”

Tohrei soon realized the existence of the kobold. He looked up and waved slowly at her. Seeing this, the kobold immediately went to the gate and opened it.

However, when the gate was opened, Tohrei directly pointed the sword towards the kobold. The kobold was surprised instead of playing, why did his master point a weapon at him?

“Open the gate to someone who hasn't been properly identified, isn't that tantamount to bringing yourself to death?” With a thin smile Tohrei stared at the kobold sharply.

“Ap—?! No way! Aren't you Mr Tohrei?!” The Kobold immediately moved away and immediately prepared to attack.

However, when he saw the serious expression of the kobold, he laughed out loud.

“Hahaha! You take that seriously?” Tohrei laughed heartily at his behavior.

“Actually what do you mean?”

“I was just kidding, I really was the real Tohrei.” Tohrei presses the kobold using the blood embedded in the kobold's body, showing himself to be a real Tohrei.

“So it's just a little warning not to get sleepy while on duty, I won't know what your fate would be like if a stranger really disguised himself as me.” Tohrei approached her by whispering.

The Kobold immediately felt goosebumps.

“Ba-good!” Excitement with stammering.

“Then beware next time!” Tohrei then left the kobold on a leisurely walk.

“I feel my heart will be dislodged!” The Kobold now felt that he had to be more vigilant, Tohrei's words became a warning to him as a wall guard.

The kobolds are currently in a season where their mood will be chaotic, so no wonder if they become brutal when hungry or become very lazy when sleepy.

However, Tohrei had no knowledge of such a thing at all, he had only coincidentally encountered kobolds who behaved like that.
