CHAPTER 87 | Facing General Mao Shan

General Mao Shan was the leader of the five great generals of the Western Desert kingdom, his strength certainly above his four friends. He also had four commanders who led his troops, commanders of the cavalry, the spear force, the sword force and the arrow troops.

Each of the commanders led a thousand troops, so the force of 5000 troops seemed to tremble the borders of the northern Golden city. They were the special forces of General Mao Shan who were mostly the chosen ones from the various martial sects that existed in the Western Desert kingdom region except for the Huasan sect.

Wang Mei along with the invading group of Mengsu city had rejoined Baihu outside the Golden city fortress facing north. Wang Mei and Zhou An rode closer to Baihu. “Baihu, Mengsu city we have mastered. We have also left some people to lead the defense there,” Wang Mei reported to Baihu.

“Thank you big brother Wang,” Baihu smile at him.

They looked tense in the face of the fight back against the forces of general Mao Shan. Baihu raised her hand preparing to give her cues. “Arrow squad, get ready!” His shouting.

Baihu's army had the advantage of having a fortress with high walls. Arrow troops are enough to shoot from the top of the fortress. With such a height, the arrows could reach even further than the enemies that were below them.

“Detach arrow!” Shouted Baihu

Thousands of arrows shot towards the army of General Mao Shan, but they were able to avoid them by blocking using shields. Baihu learned of that, he then ordered the arrow troops to pull out the oil arrows, then some of them took out the fire arrows.

Like the previous wars, the troops that were doused by the oil were easily burned by the arrows of fire that came and stuck in their shields. It caused panic in the front line of General Mao Shan.

“Cih, this boy is very shrewd,” muttered General Mao Shan. “Turn off fire! Use soil and sand!”

Hearing the orders of General Mao Shan, his troops immediately put out the blaze using the land and sand to put out the blazing fire. Some even rolled on the ground to put out the flames on their bodies.

Thousands of arrows shot back towards the army of General Mao Shan. “Damn it, they really don't let us rest,” furious general mao Shan.

“Everything, Attack!” Baihu's orders were then charged towards the opposing forces. He immediately charged towards General Mao Shan who raged against his cavalry.

“I fight you general,” said Baihu who had been near the general Mao Shan. Baihu leaped into the air then pointed his fist at the body of General Mao Shan. But General Mao Shan who was on the back of a horse directed his spear to block the fist from Baihu.

BUMM...

Explosions rang out from the clash of Baihu's fist force with the spear of General Mao Shan. General Mao Shan's horse was pushed back following the movements of General Mao Shan who was pushed by Baihu's power. While Baihu salted back and landed in front of the horse jendra Mao Shan.

Baihu did not stop his attack, as soon as his foot stepped on the ground, he immediately charged back towards general Mao Shan with a palm strike. General Mao Shan turned his spear into a shield to withstand the attack from Baihu.

Seeing himself having trouble attacking, Baihu changed his manager using the 8th Sun and Moon style which violently attacked General Mao Shan from the front. Then Baihu leaped in the air again and let out a True Spirit Raga slamming back on General Mao Shan's spear.

BUMM... BUMM... BUMM..

Several explosions were heard as Baihu hit General Mao Shan's spear with a few punches of his fist. The spear in General Mao Shan's hand shook and cracked in some parts. General Mao Shan frowned in disbelief at the strength displayed by Baihu.

Baihu did not stop his attack, the next blow completely broke the spear of general Mao Shan into two pieces.

Seeing that his spear was broken, General Mao Shan's face grew darker. He took out the sword at his waist to counter the ferocious attack from Baihu on him.

General Mao Shan unleashed his full strength with a sword stance against Baihu's attack on him.

TRANGS...TRANGG..

Like the sound of two metals clashing between the sword of General Mao Shan and the fist of Baihu. They look just as strong to this day. General Mao Shan also looked very good at fighting on his horse.

Seeing this, Sunu's tiger immediately attacked the horse of General Mao Shan. The horse was surprised by the sudden appearance of the tiger Sunu attacking him so that the horse stood up and dropped General Mao Shan from his back. The horse ran away from the battlefield.

General Mao Shan's eyes were furious attacking ferociously towards Baihu. His sword movements were extremely measurable and sealed off any movement of Baihu. “Hmm... his swordsmanship is amazing,” Baihu murmured in his heart.

Baihu dodged every sword attack from general Mao Shan. He wanted to see the movements of General Mao Shan before attacking him again.

The longer, General Mao Shan's movements became faster and stronger, Baihu could no longer avoid it. He was forced to use his strength and unleash a True Power stance to immediately end the attack.

Baihu managed to resist the sword attack and hit General Mao Shan in the stomach until he was pushed back three steps. Luckily General Mao Shan had drained his strength to protect his stomach, so he was spared from severe injuries.

Meanwhile elsewhere Wang Mei was seen fighting ferociously against the commander of the cavalry of general Mao Shan. He exerted all his strength with the 8th level of the Sun and Moon's stance against the commander.

In the dozens of moves Wang Mei finally managed to hit the commander's chest hard and make him thrown down spewing fresh blood. Wang Mei then did not let go, he chased and hit the commander's head until it cracked and did not turn back.

The death of the commander of their army made the faces of the cavalrymen turn, they lost the leader not knowing what to do.

Suddenly from behind the army of General Mao Shan, dust billows and the sound of horse legs approaching the arena of battle. The entire soldier's eyes looked towards the steaming smoke.

It appeared that Yang Zi was leading along with the Wudang sect head in front of attacking the rearguard of General Mao Shan's army. They did not expect the opponent would surround them from the front and back like that.

General Mao Shan's eyes twitched realizing that. “Sial, this kid's strategy is amazing,” murmured.
