CHAPTER 20 | Challenges from Shu Chao

When Baihu was on top of the fruit tree, 3 male disciples were below him and looked at Baihu with displeased gazes.

“Hey you, come down! You can be punished for picking that fruit” shouted one of the male students with a fierce face.

Hearing this Baihu came down, but he had picked one fruit and ate it. Seeing Baihu's indifferent attitude still picking and eating the fruit, the three faces of the male disciple grow furious.

“You must be a new student of master” class shouted one of the students.

Baihu lifted his face looking at the three disciples who looked a year or two older than him, but he still finished the fruit quietly and threw away the rest.

“Sialang. You didn't listen to my words” said the disciple back.

“Shu Chao, report to your grandfather this incident. Let him punish this kid” said one of them.

The disciple called Shu Chao did not budge, his face staring intently at Baihu. This morning his grandfather had told him about Baihu. That was why he had this afternoon gone to see her in the master class to see the child called Baihu in person.

“Are you a Baihu?” shu Chao asked her.

Baihu narrowed her eyes at Shu Chao because she didn't know him, she didn't understand why the boy asked his name.

“What's looking for me?” sayhu to Shu Chao

“I want to challenge you to fight” Shu Chao said straightforwardly.

The two friends were shocked and did not understand what Shu Chao suddenly said that he wanted to challenge the boy to a fight.

“Shu Chao, do you want to hurt this new student?” said one of his friends.

“True. His strength was new in the master realm. You can kill him” said another friend.

Shu Chao did not reply to his friends, his eyes still staring intently at Baihu. Upon hearing his grandfather's words, the blood on his body churned wanting to prove Baihu's strength with his own hands.

Seeing the cultivation strength these three children were in the Sacred Realm, Baihu only sighed. “I'm not interested in fighting you”.

“What?” The eyes of the two friends Shu Chao twitched hearing Baihu's words which looked arrogant at them.

Shu Chao's face darkened hearing Baihu's reply, “Your silence!” he screamed at his friends.

Shu Chao was a Holy-class leader whose highest strength was at the late-level Holy Realm. While the two of his friends Zhang Ji and Shan Lei were at the early level of the Sacred Realm.

“What's with you guys in this place?” suddenly there was the sound of a girl coming at them.

Zhou An appeared as he came carrying a basket full of fruit staring at the four of them who were fighting in that place.

“Ah Zhou An, long time no see you” greet Zhang Ji who immediately walked over to him

“Kakak Zhang, why are you here with Baihu. Not that you have to study anymore. I heard that your class has started” Zhou An told them.

Zhou An had known Zhang Ji since childhood, so they looked very close.

Zhou An was the second daughter of the South Sea Coastal Kingdom King who was sent to study at the Sun Moon sect by her father. Zhang Ji was the third son of the King of the Western Desert Kingdom.

“Ah, I deliberately waited for my future wife in this place” said Zhang Ji blatantly teasing Zhou An.

Zhou An's face turned unhappy at hearing Zhang Ji's words in front of their friends “Sister Zhang, didn't I already tell you. Don't mention anything uncertain it” said upset

“Why? Didn't both of our parents agree to it?” ask Zhang Ji back

“But I haven't approved it” Zhou An said to him.

Zhou An's eyes glared at Zhang Ji who looked displeased at Zhou An's reply.

“Zhang Ji, stop. Let's go back to class to learn” take Shu Chao who then left the place followed by Zhang Ji with an annoyed face with Shan Lei.

After their departure, Zhou An walked up to Baihu who had been silent since just now to see the incident. He doesn't care much about what they're talking about.

“Baihu, here I bring you fruits. I know you must have come again to this place because lapar” said Zhou An who apparently noticed Baihu often came to this place.

Baihu looked at Zhou An who was smiling at him carrying a basket of fresh fruits. Baihu took one of the fruits from the basket and ate it while sitting under the fruit tree.

Zhou An sat down beside Baihu and put a basket of fruit between them and took one of the fruits and ate it.

“Thank you miss Zhou” said Baihu while eating the fruit

Zhou An smiled hearing Baihu's voice, “That's okay. I don't want you to get in trouble for stealing fruit from this tree”

Baihu only smiled faintly hearing Zhou An's words. Since childhood living in the wild, Baihu always felt free to pick up fruit on every tree he saw if he felt hungry. But he never took much. He just plucked the one that had matured and ate it.

Baihu was not a greedy child picking a lot of fruit and storing it, because the taste would be different from picking straight ripe ones from the tree.

“Baihu, why did the three of them meet you?” zhou An asked curiously about the incident just now.

Hearing Zhou An's question, Baihu simply shrugged her shoulders, “Once. I also don't know why they came to me” said Baihu who didn't understand but she didn't care about it.

Her teacher Wu Shan always advised her that she should not carelessly use her power to harm others. That power should be used for great things. Baihu deeply remembered her Master's message.

“Zhou An do you know about the inter-sect martial arts match next month?” ask Baihu suddenly

Zhou An looked at Baihu's serious face asking that and sighed as he took the fruit back.

“Inter sect martial arts matches are held once every 3 years. And for the representatives of our sect always dominated by the disciples of the Sacred Realm class who are indeed stronger than us” Zhou An said.

“I feel they should be holding a match between classes from each realm. But the rules of this match have been set for a long time. So it must be the three children who will represent our sect in the next month” match Zhou An continued
