Chapter 8 The wonderful husband

Today Ayana's situation is getting better. As he wanted, he was out of the hospital right now. The sparkle of happiness was clearly visible on his face. Even her happy smile never faded from her lips.

"Darling... We're going to my parents' house, right?" ayana asked Rafael when she was in the car.

Rafael's left hand held Ayana's hand and his eyes focused on the street. Then he said,

"But not now, baby. You just got out of the hospital. Let's go home first."

Ayana turned towards her husband who was still focusing on his wheel. She looked expectantly at her husband and said,

"When Raf? When can I go to my parents' house? I want to stay a few days at the same and enjoy the atmosphere of the beach that I miss so much."

Without looking at his wife, Rafael knew that his wife was sad. His wife's hand that he was holding was directed at his lips.

He kissed his wife's hand lovingly and said,

"I promise we'll be there soon. Just not today. Maybe tomorrow or the day after. I need to prepare everything so that you and the baby in your womb stay healthy and safe. I don't want him following us there."

Ayana let out her breath. She was not disappointed by her husband's decision, she was just disappointed at the current state of affairs. She realized that the current situation could endanger her and her baby. It's just that his desire to be at his parents' house made him selfish.

"I know Raf if the situation is not possible at the moment. But... I can't lie to my desire to be in that place, with you," Ayana said guiltily.

Rafael's hand releases Ayana's hand. Now his hand turned to hold Ayana's head. He gently rubbed his wife's hair to make her feel calm while saying,

"I would feel very guilty if I could not grant your wishes and the baby in your womb. I will try to grant all your wishes and that of our son. Until then, I will always try to make you happy."

Ayana grabbed Rafael's hand that was rubbing her hair. She kissed her husband's hand with love.

"You are my wonderful husband. I'm so grateful to be your wife" said Ayana, smilingly looking at her husband, who is still focused on the streets.

Raphael smiled shyly at the praise his wife gave him. He also said,

"I am also very grateful that my wife is you. Because you're a wonderful wife and mother."

They praise each other with gratitude for the grace God has given them. However, they are now required to face tests for their families.

"Darling, has the female fox been reported to the police?" asked Ayana who now sounded anxious.

"It has. But they're still investigating. We can't just rely on them. I will keep my wife and children safe in my own way" Rafael replied with great confidence.

Honestly, he is very worried right now. The safety of his son and wife is at stake at this time. He should be able to protect his wife and children anytime and anywhere.

After a while the car driven by Rafael goes into the yard of a very large and luxurious house. The house means a lot to Ayana.

Rafael helps his wife get out of the car and breaks her into the house.

"Are we going to stay in this house, honey?" ayana asked as she walked into the house.

"For a while, Ay. Our house is still in the renovation stage. And I will give you more security so that we feel safe living there" Rafael replied with a smile on his wife.

Ayana looked at the entire room which meant a lot to her. The house is a place of history for him. Their love started from that house. And they could not forget the slightest incident that had happened to them back then.

"Ma... We're home...!" rafael walked in with his wife.

"Mama is in the dining room" exclaimed Rania while arranging food on the dining table.

Hearing the footsteps that were approaching her, Rania turned her head towards them.

"Ayana, Mama's beautiful daughter has come apparently," said Rania with a smile and walked up to her.

Ayana smiled shyly at her mother-in-law who loved her very much. She hugged Rania's body very tightly as she said,

"I'm sorry Ayana made Mama anxious and worried."

Rania rubbed her daughter-in-law's back gently and said,

"That's because Mama loves Mama's daughter-in-law and grandchildren so much. If Mama doesn't love you, she won't worry about you both."

"Oh so only Mama's beloved daughter-in-law and granddaughter? Is your son no longer loved? Though he used to tell the people Rafael was the favorite child of Mama and Papa loh," protested Rafael by showing his regretful expression.

Rania turned to look at Rafael who was beside Ayana. Then he said,

"As long as you can take care of your favorite daughter-in-law and favorite granddaughter, you must still be your favorite son."

Ayana laughed at her mother-in-law's words. He was very comfortable in that house. And she was also very dear to her in-laws who never discriminated between her biological son and daughter-in-law.

Rafael did not protest his mother's remarks. He was so grateful that his wife was so loved by both of his parents. Unlike Rafael who used to be, his mother considered favoritism and more affection for Ayana than with him. The longer she realized that her mother's choice was the best for her.

Raphael wrapped his hands around his wife's waist, saying,

"Let's eat first. After that you should rest again. We'll have a chat with Mama and Papa after you've rested."

Rania agreed with Rafael. He brought food specially prepared for his son-in-law.

Rafael grabs the spoon held by his wife. He feeds the food little by little, until the food runs out.

With painstakingly Rafael helped all the activities of his wife, so that Ayana felt treated as a queen by her husband.

"Let's go to my darling's room" Rafael asked as he helped his wife stand up from her seat.

Rania simply smiled observing the child and daughter-in-law. Since then he just smiled to see the treatment of Rafael who showed his love for his wife.

Suddenly the bell rang. In a hurry, Darmi opened the door of the house.

"Mrs... It's out there..," bik Darmi hesitates to tell Rania and Rafael.

"Who's Bik?" rania asked while frowning her forehead.

"That's... Outside there-"

"Good day everyone... Sorry I just got to visit today."

Suddenly the voice of a woman walking in made them turn their attention to her.

The woman walked over to Rafael who was hugging Ayana. He smiled and said,

"How are you, darling?"
