Chapter 5 Intruders

Rafael's eyes widened when he heard the name of the perpetrator who had terrorized Ayana and the baby in her womb. He immediately regained his senses when he heard the sound of the elevator doors closing.

"Pa! Papa!" rafael exclaimed as he dashed slightly towards the elevator.

Unbeknownst to Rafael, there is a female figure in doctor clothes and wearing a medical mask watching them from behind the wall next to Ayana's room.

The doctor walked quickly into Ayana's room. His eyes glanced through the entire room as if he was alert and cautious.

The lifting of his shoes slowly so as not to cause a sound that will make the patient in the room wake up. Seen from her eyes, the doctor smirked, though her mouth was covered by a medical mask.

He saw the face of Ayana who was sleeping. After that he turned his eyes to Ayana's stomach which had started to enlarge.

Goodbye poor baby. Blame your parents for not being able to give birth to you in this world, the female doctor said inwardly accompanied by her grin.

The woman's left hand reached for the infusion bag and her right hand pulled something out of her pocket.

He turned to the door because he felt he had to be vigilant before doing the action. Feeling safe, the woman's doctor immediately stuck a spuit filled with medicinal liquid to be injected into the infusion bag.

"Who are you?! What are you doing?!"

The resolute male voice that asked sounded very familiar in the female doctor's ear.

The woman's doctor immediately put the spuit that has not been injected in the infusion bag earlier in her suit pocket.

He's very nervous at the moment. His heart was beating so fast as if he was caught doing something.

The sound of footsteps approaching him. The female doctor did not dare to look at the person who was walking towards her.

With a swipe he made, the woman's doctor immediately ran when the man's footsteps stopped next to her.

Rafael gasped to see the doctor-looking woman immediately run to escape when she was nearby and would talk to him.

"Why is he running like that?" rafael asked as he looked in wonder at the door of the room that was still open after the female doctor had escaped.

"Is he running away from me?" asked Rafael again who was still surprised by the woman's doctor.

However, suddenly Rafael's eyes opened wide as he was reminded of something. He also said,

"Don't he...."

Raphael immediately ran out of the room and stopped right at the door. His eyes looked around to find the figure of the female doctor he was looking for.

"Damn! I lost track of him!" rafael exclaimed with a flash of emotion in his eyes.

He immediately calls Sani's doctor to come check on Ayana. After that he contacted the person he told to investigate about the act of terror in his home. He also contacted his father to tell him what had just happened.

"What's up, sir? Did anything else happen to Dr. Ayana?" ask the doctor Sani who just entered Ayana's room with breath gasping for running towards the room.

Ayana is still asleep. He was so slumbering that he didn't realize there was a commotion going on in his room.

Rafael let out a breath that sounded very heavy. He got up from his seat beside his wife and said,

"Please check my wife's condition doc. Just now there was an intruder disguised as a doctor and it looked like he was going to put something in my wife's intravenous fluids."

"Yes doc. Please check first my wife, after that I will tell her what happened," said Rafael who looks very anxious.

Without wasting time, Sani's doctor immediately checked Ayana who was still asleep.

Doctor Sani breathed a sigh of relief. He smiled and said,

"Thank God sir, Ayana's doctor's condition is still like that."

Rafael breathed a sigh of relief. It was evident his current gratitude from his slightly smiling face looking towards his wife.

Doctor Sani put the stethoscope he was holding in his pocket. Then he turned to face Rafael and said,

"What's the matter, sir, until Mr Rafael panics like this?"

Rafael turns his attention to doctor Sani. Then he told me what happened in the room.

Doctor Sani is shocked by what Rafael tells him. He also said,

"Ck, even though this floor is very tightly guarded sir. How could it possibly be lost like this? What exactly happened to this floor security system?"

"I'm very disappointed about the security here, Doc. Isn't security here very tight? How can I trust those on this floor if we just experienced something like that?" rafael said implying his disappointment.

"We apologize for the inconvenience of Mr. Ayana and doctor. I'll investigate and take care of everything sir. For a while I beg you not to leave your wife alone. I'll ask to check the CCTV in this room and all the CCTV around this floor" Sani's doctor said, trying to convince Rafael.

Raphael sat in a chair near Ayana. He held Ayana's hand and carried her in his grasp. Then he turned his head towards Doctor Sani and said firmly,

"I am waiting for news from the doctor. And I hope something like this won't happen again."

"Okay sir, I'll take care of it soon. I'll excuse you first," said doctor Sani bidding out of the room.

Doctor Sani immediately complained about the safety on the VVIP floor that their hospital mainstay was. He recounted all the events that happened to Ayana and showed CCTV footage inside the room of Ayana's hospital and some CCTV on the VVIP floor.

The hospital immediately followed up on that. In addition to the hospital's good name, Ayana is their mainstay doctor who has worked at this hospital. And that makes them even more reluctant because they are dealing with the Atmaja family, famous entrepreneurs who have a lot of growing businesses and are now venturing into the medical field.

Rafael was still recalling his posture and a little he saw the eyebrows, as well as the hair of the fleeing female doctor earlier.

It seems she really is Ruby. From her posture, eyebrows and the shape of her face, I'm sure that she is indeed Ruby. But for his hair, I'm not sure. Can hair be fake? Why didn't I think at all? I'm sure she's Ruby, Rafael said in his heart.

"Emmmmm... Dear... Rafa..," said Ayana in a soft voice as she opened her eyes.

Ayana's voice made Rafael wake up from his mind. He immediately kissed his wife's hand and said,

"What's wrong, honey, I'm here. Take it easy, I won't leave you, even for a second."

"Rapans... It looks like he came. But I can't open my eyes" said Ayana with teary eyes and trembling lips.

Rafael gasped at the words of his wife. He immediately asked,

"Him? Who is he, Ay?"
