The Romance After Marriage
2.9 | A : About Dad

- Kyra

After our short meeting this afternoon was over, Delvin then rushed away. He said, after this he had the rest of the work to be done immediately because it had entered the last day of the deadline!

As soon as I heard it, I nodded and without further ado I immediately led her to the front door. However, when I was just about to say a word as a farewell greeting, suddenly the heavy voice of Father called out to us. Intruding. Until we looked at it almost simultaneously!

"Hey, you! Where are you going?! Here first!" Dad waved his hand. Swinging, calling us to fulfill his word immediately. Approaching him who was currently standing in the middle of the room. Not too far from the position of the two of us, from this entrance threshold.

Delvin seemed to be smiling just hearing it and now he even nodded. I cringe, astonished. Why would he face you like you being such a cool ass anyway?

"Dad, Delvin said there was important work. He's in a hurry!" Seruku.

"What's the fuck, Vin, a gini holiday? Tell your boss that first. There's more important business with the future-in-law!" Said Dad who immediately made me grimace after hearing every word.

Delvin grinned. Then a moment later he nodded. Which of course makes me glare.

"God! Don't you want to do your job first?!" I whispered with anger. "Said to be deadline work? Should it be sent this afternoon, last??How the hell?!!" I really don't think about it!

However, instead of answering or even helping me to reject Dad's invitation earlier, he only gave me a faint smile at a glance and just passed me by without saying a word even if it was a small talk!!

I snorted in annoyance. I swear to you, this! Though I was tired of my defense, but he ignored me like this?! Basic sucks!

My eyes narrowed sharply watching him follow the footsteps of Father who had already led the way ahead without needing to wait for me. I'm clucking. In the end I followed behind them with all the annoyance I held tight in my chest.

Patience... Patience... Patient child is a son of Sholehah! My rapport continues in my heart.

A few seconds later, our steps stopped. Father turned out to lead us to stop in this quiet and uninhabited family room. I don't know, but it looks like Ibuk, Mas Kamil and Mbak Intan are busy resting in their respective rooms.

So then... Now, Delvin will get an exclusive hearing from Dad?!

I hurriedly pursed my lips. Choose to be quiet and turn your attention to something else. Precisely on snacks in jars that are very close to my hand. I hurriedly opened the lid so I could enjoy it casually. After all, I also do not want to take part in their serious talks. Let it be, this conversation will be enough to be the business of two different men of this generation. A woman like me is sitting pretty sweet to be an observer and enjoying this going right!

I don't know what I want to talk about. But it seems this is not an easy thing to answer especially for Delvin.

"Delvin," Father's voice echoed out of the blue, intruding on all of our attention with an indisputable voice. His tone was so serious it sounded! Not to mention the plus of the eyes that are now staring very sharply like a dagger that is ready to draw right on the target at any time. Of course it made me grimace in horror at the instant it was made!

Delvin looked up, then looked at Father who was sitting right in front of him with a bead that was no less serious. Featuring an aura of solemnity that was out of nowhere. Because now I don't see the slightest jitteriness that appears from the look on his face. Don't know if he's good at hiding that expression or holding it back, I don't know either!

I sighed long in my heart. I don't understand either. Why did the atmosphere here suddenly turn this horrified?! To the extent that it makes it difficult to swallow snacks that I have chewed until soft since. Huh!!

"Delvin, I asked again... Are you seriously the same words you said yesterday?!" That deadly aura instantly felt powerful as soon as Father returned to talk. And all of a sudden, his sharp narrowed eyes blocked the boy who had long known him.

Despite the worry that appeared on his face, Delvin still smiled and tried to calm down. True, it was the kind of smile that calmed down when looked carefully. For some reason, today I feel he has prepared himself well to deal directly with Dad. Look at that carrier! Very calm! It was as if he had expected this to happen. And it seems that if he is noticed again, he really has mastered himself to make it look not nervous or awkward at all!

Delvin nodded without hesitation while staring firmly. "Of course I'm always serious about everything I say, sir! Without exception!"

I looked at him in wonder, and in amazement at the same time. I wondered, "Is this man really the Delvin I know? That jokester and absurd guy?!!"
