Remember Me, Baby.

Remember Me, Baby.
I'm Not Reliable

Andrew pretended not to see the girl who almost buried her face into the table in front of him and ate quietly. His mood is pretty good. Keiko's cuisine is quite good, although not as delicious as the dishes from five-star restaurants, but it fits perfectly with her tongue. The flavor is not too spicy and not too greasy, the taste of typical home-cooked foods.

“That dinner is so good, thank you,” murmured Andrew while cleaning his dishes and bowls.

Keiko who had also finished eating immediately looked up, looking at Andrew who was only a meter away in front of him. To be honest, this was his first time cooking for someone else. Hearing the praise for the results of his cooking made the girl quite happy. His stiff and tense shoulders had now drooped slightly.

“Thank you also for all your help, I really appreciate it,” reply Keiko while getting up and tidying up the leftovers on the table.

Andrew immediately helped the girl carry the dirty dishes to the sink and wash them, while Keiko leaned on the edge of the chair and stared at the towering silhouette beside the refrigerator. Under the dim light of the lamp, a tall and sturdy man slightly lowered his head to wash the soap on the dishes and bowls. The movement looks natural, indicating that the man is quite often doing household chores.

Unknowingly Keiko's thin lips curved upwards. In his shadow, a young master who was the sole heir of Phoenix.Co was an arrogant and hard-to-serve man. Who would have thought that just two types of stir-fried vegetables and a serving of meat soup had made him willing to wash dishes and bowls?

“What are you laughing at?”

“Huh? A-what ... t-nothing ...”

Keiko blinked quickly when she realized Andrew was already standing in front of her. Real close. Too close until the fresh scent of mint tickles the tip of his nose. The girl wanted to retreat, but her waist was already stuck on the table.

“K-you .. back off a little,” pinta Keiko with flushed face.

“No,” replied Andrew in a slightly hoarse voice.

He doesn't want to back off. He wants to tease her. Who told him when he turned around just now immediately found the girl was smacking a smile while looking at him. Either this girl is aware or not that her appearance like that is really very tempting.

“What ... what do you do?” keiko whispered as Andrew's body drew closer, almost sticking with his own.

Andrew reached out casually, his sturdy arm past Keiko's earlobe. The wind sweep from the movement made Keiko slightly shudder and shiver. He dodged until his back slightly curved backwards.

“Exit!” yelled Keiko while glaring.

He had prepared and put up the horses when Andrew's hand again moved on his side, then stopped in front of his face. The man shook the glass in front of his nose.

“What are you afraid of? I just want to take this,” Andrew said with a plain face, as if he was not doing something wrong. The man brought the glass closer to his lips and gulped the contents casually.

“K-you ... you ...”

“What?”

“It can't rotate from another direction?”

“From here closer.”

“....”

Keiko was at a loss for words, only to be able to continue glaring at Andrew with tightly clenched hands. He was both embarrassed and angry. This man before him had indeed asked to be beaten to a pulp!

Andrew chuckled softly at the ugly expression on Keiko's face. He raised his hand to rub the top of the girl's head while saying, “Oke .. okay .. I was wrong, not kidding anymore.”

Keiko snorted and brushed off Andrew's hand in annoyance. He was about to walk out of the room, but again Andrew's arm blocked his step.

“Didn't you want to negotiate?” tanyanya while raising her eyebrows.

Keiko opened her mouth to refute, but then remembered her intention to avenge her father. Finally he could only exhale loudly and sit back in the chair. He took a quick glance at Andrew who was still smacking a smile in front of him, then sneered before saying, “I may have the thing you are looking for.”

“Oh.”

Keiko frowned unhappily.

Only “oh”?

What kind of response is that?

He thought at least Andrew would stare at him glitteringly and plead with him to tell them where the thing they were looking for was. However, his guess was wrong. The man just said “oh” and stood there quietly, as if all of that had nothing to do with him. Keiko who had calmed down a little was upset.

“What's ‘oh’?” keiko asked as she looked at Andrew sharply. He crossed paths and watched the man's response closely, hoping to find an awkwardness from the man's unpredictable movements.

“Continue. Don't you have any requirements?” reply Andrew while sitting on the chair he previously used when eating.

“It ... I ...”

Keiko's hands clenched firmly, as if gathering all her courage before continuing, “I want to be involved in the operation you will be doing with your men. Whatever it is, I want to be involved. I want—“

“Can't.”

“What did you say?”

“I said I couldn't,” Andrew's reset very calmly. He could see the rebellion and anger bubbling in Keiko's round bead, but it did not dampen his intention to reject the girl's request.

“Why?” scowl Keiko while gritting her teeth firmly.

“Not worth it. This trivial matter when compared to your safety, it is simply not worth it.”

“Trivial problems?” cynical Keiko sneer, “That's not at all trivial. Things related to my father mean a lot, even if I have to die I would.”

“But I'm not willing. Especially if it puts your life at risk. I'm not at all willing.”

Andrew's tone of voice still sounded calm and stable, completely unaffected by the change in his interlocutor's emotions. The calmness of Andrew Roux is nothing compared to anything. Therefore, Keiko could only hold her breath and stare at the man with a smoldering look, as if she was burning the man's body with an invisible flame.

“Do not glare at me like that,” murmured Andrew softly with a gentle smile, “I promise to hand over your father's killer to you. You can handle it yourself later, when I manage to catch it.”

Keiko still kept her mouth locked, too lazy to talk nonsense with the man before her.

“Regarding the thing you have, if you tell me, it will be easier to solve this complicated problem. But you can't get involved at all. Just give it to me and I'll take care of it. If you don't, you can't do anything either. Sit quietly here until I find a way to handle it. You can only leave when I say it's safe. Okay?”

Although it looked relaxed and did not display any expression, Keiko could guess that Andrew had already made a decision that would not be shaken. It made him even more upset and feel helpless, but he knew there was no point in refuting. A man like Andrew Roux is not the kind of person who is easily persuaded or provoked, he knows that very clearly.

Keiko averted her gaze, cursing and scolding Andrew inwardly before finally answering, “Oke.”

What else could he do? He was completely helpless every time he faced the man.
