Remember Me, Baby.

Remember Me, Baby.
Dinner banquet

It was already evening when Andrew and Keiko returned to the mansion. After returning home from the hospital, Keiko asks Andrew to drive her to one of the shopping centers to buy a gift for her father-in-law. After going around for almost an hour, he finally dropped the option on a watch with a slightly antique model, inscribed with gemstones at each time pointer point. The price was amazingly fantastic, but Keiko felt it was still lacking to repay all the kindness and hospitality of Marco Roux who had welcomed him with open arms.

As the car entered the courtyard, Andrew and Keiko were quite surprised to see the lights in the courtyard and the interior of the mansion brightly lit, looking like there was a big celebration in the residence. Flickering lights and bouquets of flowers look very striking.

Keiko turned to Andrew in surprise and asked, “Is anyone having a birthday?”

Andrew who was no less surprised just shook his head slowly and replied, “I don't know. Dad didn't tell me anything.”

The car circled the pool and stopped at the door. The sound of laughter filled with joy echoed from the living room. From behind the glass, Andrew and Keiko could see clearly Marco Roux was toasting with everyone. Even from a distance his reddened face was clearly visible.

“It looks like dad is drunk,” muttered Keiko while watching his father-in-law's behavior look a little silly.

Andrew's eyebrows are linked in the forehead. Keiko was right, it seems like her father was already drunk. He let out a slow sigh and hooked Keiko's arm, walking side by side into the lively room. Even the servants and bodyguards held wine glasses and ate the snacks.

“Young Master, you're home!” exclaimed Old Alfred who looked just as drunk as Marco Roux.

Marco Roux who had seen the arrival of his son and son-in-law immediately raised both his hands into the air. The two servants standing guard by the door immediately pressed the confetti in their hands, making shiny pieces of paper scatter in the air accompanied by a deafening sound, blend in with the cheers and applause of everyone in the room.

“Welcome, newlyweds!” marco Roux shouted while clapping his hands with excitement.

“We have been waiting for your return since,” he continued again while staggering towards his son.

Andrew rushed forward to pick up his father and reprimanded, “Dad, what are you doing?”

“Daddy is very happy, Andrew ... really very happy ... today everyone should party. I can't wait until next week for the reception, so tonight let's all drink up drunk!”

The old man danced back to the round table filled with various snacks, wine, cocktails, and various other alcoholic beverages. He took a glass and filled it with champagne, then poured it on Andrew.

“You must toast me,” muttered Marco Roux in a hoarse voice but sounded very excited.

Andrew was silent for a moment, considering refusing his father's request, but then could only sigh softly and accept the glass.

Marco Roux then picked up a special glass of red wine he had prepared beforehand. The wine had a softer and lighter taste with low alcohol content, then approached Keiko.

“My daughter should not drink too much alcohol,” she muttered while handing it to Keiko.

He poured himself a glass of drink, and lifted him up high and exclaimed, “I hope you are happy, loving each other until death do you part, blessed with cute and healthy children. Toast!”

“We toast to Dad, may be given health and longevity!”

Andrew and Keiko raised their glasses and drank the contents to the end. Marco Roux let out a satisfied sigh and moved his hand as a gesture for his son and daughter-in-law to follow into the main hall.

“Come, hurry here .. I've asked the chef to cook our traditional dishes, your wife has to taste everything,” Marco Roux said as he sat on the chair.

He then gave the order to the butler, “Capit serve the dish now.”

The chef and waiter immediately took out the dishes one by one, arranging them nicely on the table. The steaming smoke and the oozing aroma made Keiko's saliva almost drip. He quietly breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he refused when Andrew invited him to dinner outside. He thought it would be better if they had dinner together at home. Thank goodness he made the right decision.

Keiko's eyes sparkled. He had tasted French cuisine at the restaurant, and it was amazing. This time, all the dishes on the table seemed no less delicious than the menu he had tried. He could not name all the menus on the table, but at least it was Beef Burguignon, Cassoulet, Ratatouille, Foie Gras, Coq au Vin, Bouillabaisse, Soupe a l’oignon, and so on, Confit de Canard and Creme Brulee. It is a French dish rich in spices.

Recalling the gift box she bought, Keiko immediately opened her bag and took out a white box with a dark blue ribbon on it. He handed the object to his father-in-law and said, “Dad, I hope you like.”

“What is this?” marco asked as he received the parcel handed to him.

“It was my thank you for being well received here. Maybe the value is not much, but—“

“Omong empty what?” sidelines Marco Roux with a glowing face, “Alfred, you see .. my son-in-law is the best. He even bought me a gift. You said, am I really lucky?"

“Thank you, My daughter .. You are the light in this house. It's been years this place is in utter, you come and be the light ...” Marco Roux's eyes glazed over. He thought he was going to die before he saw his son get married, but now it still feels like a dream.

“Dad, don't spoil the atmosphere. You want to make everyone cry and blame me?” reprimanding Andrew while commenting on a smile, “Didn't you say very happy? Why now such a want to cry like that?”

“That's all because of you, stupid boy! To my dismay over the years,” Marco Roux replied while glaring at his son, “Already ... already, let's eat ... My daughter must be hungry, ‘kan? Andrew, get your wife some food. Give him goose liver and that beef .. very good, eat a lot ...."

Marco Roux invited everyone in the room to participate in the banquet. His appearance that looks messy but full of excitement makes everyone around him feel a positive aura, and in silence they agree, Sakamoto Keiko is the light ....
