Remember Me, Baby.

Remember Me, Baby.
Get closer

Bichat Claude Bernard Hospital, Paris.

In the fourth-floor treatment room, a girl appeared to be sitting on the edge of the patient bed. His clear blue eyes seemed very focused and serious, his lentic fingers smeared the medicine on the torn wound on the part of the chin of the man sitting in front of him very carefully. Occasionally his thin lips blew through the air when he heard a soft hiss sounding from the man's mouth.

“I told you to call the nurse, why don't you?” grumpy girl with both eyebrows linked on the forehead, “Again why so careless? I told you there was no need to wash your face, no one would notice your ugly face. Now look, everything got wet and had to be re-treated.”

Hansel smelled a smile at Cecille's scolding. The foolish girl .. didn't know that she was deliberately wetting her wound? Of course he did it to get his attention.

“Seeing up close, you're pretty cute. Unfortunately ... too chatty.”

“Huh?” Cecille looked up and looked at Hansel, not understanding the direction of the conversation that was out of sync. A second later, he glared and exclaimed, “Try you say one more time?!”

Cecille pressed the plaster hard on Hansel's chin, making the man scowl and exclaim, “Aw! Pain!”

“Feel!” Cecille sneered and walked towards the table, picked up her bag that was there and prepared to leave.

Looking at the girl's movements, Hansel couldn't help himself and asked, “Where are you going?”

“Return. Where else to go?”

“Oh. I think you want to go back to lurking in the hotel, or visit your secret admire in prison,” Hansel's tease while stroking his sore chin. He got three stitches in the shoulder and two stitches in the temple. It was fortunate that the wound on his chin was not so deep that it did not need to be sewn.

Cecille's eyes narrowed. He kissed and countered haughtily, “With this sharp behavior and mouth, it is fitting that your lover marry someone else.”

The counterattack was extremely precise. Hansel almost choked. However, a second later, he managed to gain control of himself and replied, “The man you love is married to someone else, the man you don't love is chasing you like crazy. Don't you think that's very ironic?”

“You ..!”

Cecille clenched his hands tightly. It felt like he wanted to smash his bag into that annoying guy on the bed. However, considering that the man had already risked his life to protect her, then he held back and tried to budge.

“Say whatever you want if it makes you feel comfortable. I go first.”

“Wait!”

Cecille's footsteps were stuck in the air.

“What's up?” ask without turning the body.

“My company ...”

“No time,” replied Cecille. He did not turn his head at all, raised his chin high and walked back to the door.

“You don't pity me? At least because both are heartbroken, comfort me for a moment. I promise I won't tease you anymore,” persuade Hansel in a low tone of voice and containing a little plea.

Cecille gave a quick glance. Inner opposition surged within his chest, wanting to keep going or grant the request of the man on the bed. Finally after sighing and exhaling out loud, Cecille turned around and placed her bag back on the table.

Across there. The complex emotions stirred for a moment under Hansel's eyelids, not visible on the surface, only briefly. Just as Cecille walked towards him, the expression on the man's face returned flat.

“Say, what can I do to cheer you up?” cecille asked, raising his eyebrows and looking at Hansel indifferently.

“A hug?”

Cecille rolled her eyeballs and said with a bored expression, “Outdated metrics.”

Hansel chuckled softly then gestured for the girl before him to sit on the chair.

Cecille wanted to refuse, but considering that his stomach had not been filled by anything since last night, he finally nodded slowly. The food served looks pretty delicious.

“Is it okay if I eat? Will you be less?” cecille asked, a little hesitant when he realized the menu above the trolley was prepared specifically for one person.

“It's okay, if it's less .. You can treat me to eat out,” replied Hansel casually.

Again Cecille rolled his eyeballs. Was the man in front of her asking her out on a date? Really took advantage of the opportunity very well.

“I get it for you,” said Hansel as he got out of bed.

“No need! Me,” by Cecille fast. He picked up the trolley by the window and pushed it closer to the edge of the bed.

“Where do you want?” bargained for.

“You choose. I eat anything, not too picky.” Hansel judged in his heart, apparently the girl in front of him was not as pompous as he thought, still able to serve others quite well.

Meanwhile, across the trolley, Cecille was silent for a moment. For some reason it felt like their relationship suddenly felt too harmonious, like a couple who were going on a picnic. And he has behaved like a caring lover!

The thought made a red hue run down Cecille's cheeks. He hurriedly took a plate of Beef Bourguignon, rice, and Bisque, then placed it in front of Hansel. He himself chose a plate containing Croque Monsieur, a sandwich containing ham with melted cheese that looks tempting.

“Thank you,” said Hansel with a smile, “How do you know I eat rice? You ordered it to the nurse?”

“Eng. Didn't you say you lived in Japan for a long time? I know Asians can't live without rice.”

Speech that does not know is satire or praise that in the end still makes Hansel laugh loosely. He was not angry at all, instead getting attracted to the girl who looked indifferent and mouthed as sharp as razor.

The man then bribed the rice and beef pieces, then tried a spoonful of creamy brownish soup in a bowl. It feels delicious and soft. The spice is much different from what he used to eat in Japan, but quite acceptable to his tongue.

“What is this?” her question was full of curiosity.

“Bisque,” Reply Cecille briefly.

“Enak. What is it made of?”

“Recoils of shellfish and shrimp that have been baked first, then cooked with cream sauce, wine, and spices.”

Hansel nodded at a glance and bribed the soup again. Strange, suddenly his mood changed for the better. Either because of the delicious taste of the food, or because it was accompanied by a beautiful girl ... or because he had started to be able to let go of Sakamoto Keiko?

That thought made Hansel's movements suddenly stop. He only realized, since helping Cecille, accompanying him to the prison to make a statement, until he went to the hospital to be treated, he did not remember Keiko at all.

How could? Though he thought he might never be able to forget his former fiancee, but now ....

Hansel silently glanced at the girl who was now enjoying a plate of salad. Under the bias of the morning sunlight, the girl looked even more attractive. Slowly Hansel's lip line curved upwards. The determination in his heart grew rounder.

Meanwhile, Cecille who was focused on spending her breakfast did not know what the man before her was planning.
