My father's charm

My father's charm
Chapter 7 - Race Champion

The day Varrel was waiting for arrived, Alka with her three children and Mama Lilis went to school.

They were very curious who would be the champion in the coloring race. Varrel's feelings kept raging and deg-degan.

The invited guests also filled the seats provided by the event committee.

Alka, the mother and her three children sat in the second row of the stage.

At 9 am the event began, the readers of the event read out the order of the event and the opening in the contents with traditional dances.

Arrive time for the peak event of the announcement of the coloring champion race. Ms. Siska read out the names of the winners of various categories.

"I will announce the name of the winner of the first and second grade coloring competition in the primary category" said Siska.

Lilis hugged Varrel's body, "May you win!"

Mrs Guru Siska has read the name of the winner from the third-wish champion to the second-champion.

Alka, Lilis and Varrel waited anxiously.

"And for the first champion falls to...." Siska pulled the corner of her lips then looked towards the Alka family.

"Varrel Alra Sudiro from SD Insani."

Varrel shouted cheerfully and hugged his father, to the applause of the invited guests.

Alka who held Sean and got a hug from her first son made her eyes tearful. "Congratulations, Son!"

Lilis and Raline also hugged the boy.

Varrel walked onto the stage to receive the trophy along with other prizes.

Siska held out two thumbs while smiling proudly.

At 12pm, the show ended. Alka and her family went home. They stopped at a nearby restaurant from his home.

The four enjoyed eating together over the win that Varrel won.

Sean had not been able to eat the dishes in the restaurant so Lilis brought food made specifically for the baby boy.

Varrel and Raline enjoy fried chicken so voraciously. Alka sued Sean.

"Mama's done eating, here let Mama who changed to feed Sean," said Lilis.

"It's a little more, Ma." Alka said because there are only 2 more feeds left.

Lilis also finally focused on noticing her 2 grandchildren who had not finished eating.

A few minutes later, Alka handed Sean in Mama Lilis's car as she was about to eat.

Alka walked towards the sink washing her hands, when her face looked in the mirror she saw her wife had just come out of the minimarket which was opposite the restaurant with a man.

Alka then turned her body and set her eyes on the children and Mama Lilis. "Don't let them see it," she said.

Alka also walked quickly to the table, occasionally he noticed a car that slowly left the minimarket while feeding food into his mouth.

Not wanting her mother and children to be suspicious, Alka behaved normally. He wanted to approach his wife and friend.

After taking Mama Lilis to her house, Alka also came home.

When he got home, his wife was home. Varrel ran inside screaming for his mother's name because he knew the door was open.

Rani approached her son. "What's up, Varrel?"

"Mom, I'm the first champion!" answer with excitement.

"Gee, congratulations!" Rani hugged her son.

"Dad also treat us to eat at the restaurant because I'm a champion, try Mommy was definitely more exciting," he said.

Rani was silent at the babbling of her son.

"Mom, I'm going to go to the room and sleep!" varrel.

"Don't forget to change her clothes!" Rani.

"Yes, Mom!" Varrel walked to his room.

Alka approached his wife and handed Sean over to her.

Rani accepts Sean and holds him, looking her husband's face so cold.

Alka chose to go to the room to change her clothes and did not ask about the man who was with his wife.

Shortly after, Alka came out of the room and approached his wife. "I want to go to the workshop, maybe go home too late" he said.

"Yes, Mum."

Alka also passed.

At 10 p.m., Alka had just arrived home. Because each had his own key, Alka opened the door and did not want to disturb her family to rest.

Rani who was on the phone in the room did not realize that her husband had come home.

Alka heard his wife's voice occasionally laughing as she opened the door knob. He put it away and for a moment chose to sit in the guest chair.

After he felt calm, Alka stood up and headed for her room. He opened the door and made his wife flutter.

"Mas, are you home?" Rani greeted with the phone still stuck to her ear.

"Yes" he answered.

"It's been a while?" rani asked nervously.

"Just now" he answered briefly and curtly.

"No, I just want to sleep. Today was very tired, "Alka went to the bathroom and cleaned herself up.

A few minutes later he came out scrambling his wet hair with a towel and climbed into the bed and tried to close his eyes.

His wife also seems to have slept.

...----------------...

A few days later....

Rani goes to work on public transport, Alka offers to take her but her wife refuses to be in between because Varrel's office and school are quite far away and the schedule of the two are also close together. I'm afraid one of them will be late.

Lilis today also started keeping her granddaughter in her son's house because she didn't want Alka to bother taking Raline and Sean to her house.

Arriving at the school, Siska who happened to also stand with the other teachers standing on the fence threw her smile at Alka and her son.

Alka also replied with a smile.

After Varrel got off the bike, he rushed to the workshop.

"It turns out, Mr. Alka is very handsome, yes!" whispered Ayu Siska's friend who was next to her.

"Hush, the husband of the dead!" Siska answered the whisper of her friend.

"Yes, geez this mouth can't be kept," Ayu smiled smirked.

Because the workshop was crowded, Alka contacted Siska. "Hello, Mom!"

"Yes, sir."

"I haven't been able to pick Varrel up yet, can I leave it to Mom?"

"Oh, can," replied Siska spirit.

"In an hour, I'll come pick her up."

"Good, sir."

"Thank you, Mom."

"Together, sir."

Both of them hung up the phone.

An hour passed by Alka had not yet come to pick up Varrel. Siska contacted the student's father again but was not answered.

Eventually, Siska sends a message to Alka that Varrel will be escorted home by her.

Before reaching home, Siska invites Varrel to eat meatballs and the boy agrees.

The two enjoy eating meatballs together, a message notification coming into his phone.

A message from Alka to Siska saying thank you for bringing her son home.

Siska replied to a message from Alka.

At exactly 1pm, Varrel arrived home. Lilis came out because seeing her grandson coming home between people, she approached the two.

Lilis thanked Siska and she replied, "Sama-sama, Mom!"

Siska also returned home.

"Why didn't your father pick you up?" ask Lilis.

"Said Bu Siska, I was in the workshop and again bustling customers," replied Varrel.

"Your father also three hours ago said that, Grandma thought he was going to pick you up. But, it also does not matter if you go home with Master, ", said Lilis.

"Yes, Grandma."

"Change her clothes, Grandma will prepare food for you" said Lilis.

"I'm still full, Grandma."

"Where are you eating?"

"Bu Siska was asking me to eat meatballs" he replied.

"Oh, yeah."

Varrel walked to his room.

That night, when his parents were at home. Varrel told me about his activities this morning. Eagerly he told Ms. Siska's kindness to her.

"Bu Siska is your homeroom teacher, right?" ask Rani.

"Yes, Mom. He gave me snacks and a treat to eat meatballs" replied Varrel.

Rani looked at her husband.

"I couldn't pick him up, so I left him with his teacher" explained Alka.

"Bu Siska is young, you're not interested in her, are you, Mas?" Rani accused.

"Why is he young?" back asking.

"Who knew you were getting closer after you helped her back then" Rani reminded her husband.

"It seems I still remember and realize my current position is still your husband!" alka said.

Rani who heard it instantly fell silent.
