Chapter 17 - Want to Meet Mother

After hearing the explanation from her son, Lilis bailed home because the clock showed at 9 p.m.

"You're okay, Mama's staying?"

"No, Ma. Thank you for taking care of Varrel" he said.

"Varrel's Mama's granddaughter, definitely taken care of. You are strong, yes. Mama and Lisa will always be behind you."

"Yes, Ma."

Lilis passed too.

Alka went back to her children's room and slept together.

Just as Alka closed her eyes, Varrel deliriously called out to her mother.

Alka woke up, holding her son's forehead. "Jeez, your body is so hot!" so worried.

"Wake, Son!" Alka called him slowly.

Varrel opened his eyes.

Alka smiled, "Father will take the heat-lowering medicine." He got out of bed and stepped towards the study table.

Carrying a bottle of liquid medicine and a spoon, Alka sat down before her son. "Open his mouth, son!" her door.

Varrel opened his mouth and took medicine.

Alka smiled as Varrel complied.

"I want to meet my mom, Dad."

"You will meet him" said Alka.

"Really, Dad?" looking at his father's face full of excitement.

Alka nodded and smiled faintly.

Varrel put on a happy smile.

The next day, Alka and Varrel go to Rani's parents' house in the next town.

Alka had promised her son to meet his mother.

As soon as they arrived, Andi and Rita approached them. The middle-aged man tightly hugged Varrel.

"Where's mom, Opa?"

Andi let go of her embrace, looking at her grandson.

"Opa, Oma, I want to meet my mother" he said.

"He was sick yesterday and his night delirious by calling his mother. That's why I brought him here. Who knows if I could meet Rani, Pa." Clear Alka.

"You didn't call him?" ask Andi.

Alka shook her head.

Andi then tells his wife to take Varrel away from him.

"Why didn't you call her?" ask Andi.

"I contacted him before our divorce hearing. But he rejected my entire call" Alka replied.

Andi sighed and continued to say, "Rani hasn't been here since your divorce, we don't know where she is."

"I mean, Pa?"

"Yes, he just said that he was fine and still worked at the company but never told me where his home address was."

"Why not look for him?"

"Papa was already disappointed in him," Andi replied with a lowered face.

"Varrel misses his mother so much, I just took the promise that he would still love his children" Alka said.

"Papa would advise Rani to remember her children" he promised.

Alka and Varrel were only in the city for 3 hours, after he returned to his hometown.

Varrel is so disappointed not to meet with Rani, but Andi has promised to meet her.

Arriving home at 5 p.m. Varrel approached Raline.

"Where are you from?" tanyakanya.

"We are from Opa and Oma's house" Varrel replied.

"Why not take me?" protestations

"Free to go there, neither does she" replied Varrel.

"I don't care where you go, I already have friends" Raline said.

"What exactly?"

"Tante Iren."

"He's not our mother!" varrel said firmly.

"He's a friend not a mother" Raline casually said.

"Our mother is only one, you remember that!" reminded him.

"Yes, Brother."

"I was loved by Opa, he said to you, he sent greetings to you and Sean" Varrel said, issuing a red sheet of money.

"I'm glad I got money from Opa, I want a snack" he said, shouting cheerfully, he walked to the entrance.

Alka who heard the conversation of her two children then intercepted her daughter's steps. "Where are you going, Raline?"

"I'm going to go snack, Dad." Subjugating a piece of money.

"Let's go snack with Daddy!" said Alka.

Raline finally undoes her intention to go to the store not far from her home.
