Chapter 64 - Giving Birth Without Husband

Alka who from 8 pm was already at the house of Mama Lilis, he deliberately did that because he was still upset with his wife.

"You're not going home?" ask Lilis when the clock figures show 10 p.m.

"Later, Ma. Eleven o'clock I'll be home" Alka replied.

"Yes, I have." Lilis goes to her room with Sean.

"Together, Mas. Then we leave home," said Miss Dewi.

"Once again thank you, Miss Dewi, Miss Intan," said Alka.

The two women left the clinic.

Alka first entered the room to meet Shireen who was still weakly lying.

Shireen saw the arrival of her husband looking indifferent.

The nurse handed the baby to Alka and the man chanted the adhan in her daughter's ear.

After that the nurse told Alka to hand it over to Shireen so that the baby gets exclusive ASI.

Alka put her baby next to her wife.

Lilis went in to see her daughter-in-law and granddaughter. "I'm sorry Mama didn't hear you call" he said.

"Do you need anything?" ask Alka.

"Ma, please put the baby here!" pinta Shireen to her in-laws.

Lilis held up the baby and placed it on her mother's lap.

"Ma, I haven't told Papa and Mama. Can you call them?"

"I've called them" said Alka.

Shireen just stared at her husband sitting next to the bed without saying anything.

After nursing her daughter, Shireen was transferred to the hospital room.

Alka moved his wife's body from a wheelchair to a clinic bed.

"What do you want to eat?" ask Alka.

Shireen did not answer.

"Tonight, it's hard to find a food vendor. Mama asked the nurse to make some warm tea, yeah!"

"Next to the clinic is a twenty-four-hour food and drink vendor, Ma."

"Let me buy it" Alka said.

"Let Mama alone is just next door not far away" said Lilis, he went to buy food for his daughter-in-law.

Now, Alka and Shireen are in the in-room. The baby in a special room.

Shireen chose to lay down her body and turn her back on her husband.

"I should have come home early" said Alka.

The room door opened, Shireen quickly wiped her tears and turned her body around.

"There's only bread and mineral water is okay, right?" ask Lilis.

"It's okay, Ma." Shireen sat down and grabbed the bread of her in-laws purchase she began to eat.

Lilis opened the water bottle cap.

"What about the kids, Ma?"

"They're sleeping again" Lilis replied.

"Varrel did his schoolwork, didn't he?" ask Shireen.

"Yes, Shireen. Lisa was the one who accompanied him to study," replied Lilis.

"Thank God" Shireen smiled.

Lilis saw the clock showing almost 1 in the morning. "Mama's home, yeah!"

"Don't, Ma. Keep me here!" her door.

"There is your husband who accompanies you" said Lilis.

"I want Mama here!" shireen.

"Aldy's been waiting outside" Lilis said. "Tomorrow morning, Mama will be here again!" continued.

"Yes, Ma," Shireen nodded forcefully.

Lilis went home.

After the door closed, Shireen broke down her body. "Mas, don't you go home too?"

Alka silent.

"I'm fine here, there are nurses too" Shireen said.

"I'm here to wait for you."

"No need, Mom. What's worrying about again? I've given birth too, you better go home and take care of your poor children."

"I will wait for you!" said Alka.

Shireen sighed, and closed her eyes.

Alka was still sitting next to his wife's bed and asleep as well.

Shireen opened her eyes again and saw her husband falling asleep in a sitting position. His hand touched Alka's hair and stroked her.

Alka who felt a touch in her head then woke up and blinked her eyes. "Do you need anything?"

"No, Mas. It is better that Mas Alka go home and sleep, that the children should go to school in the morning."
