Chapter 3- Hasn't Worked, Alka's Already Disappointed

Varrel and Raline ran excitedly into the house, shouting to call her mother.

As soon as Rani appears from the kitchen, the two embrace with cheerful faces.

"I'm glad you're home" Varrel said.

"Where have you been, looking for you?" ask Raline.

"Mom went to Oma's house" answered Rani.

"Why not take us there?" ask Varrel.

"Mother's in a hurry and there's business so can't get you to go there" Rani replied lying.

"Mother don't go again, I miss you so much" Raline said.

Alka could feel how her children miss her mother, she could not imagine if they separated.

"Mom can't promise, son!" Rani said while glancing at her husband.

"Mom has to promise!" pinta Varrel's.

"Yes," Rani smiled forcefully. "You go take a shower, I'll have dinner ready for us" she continued.

"Yes, Mom." Varrel and Raline were so happy.

Rani takes Sean from her husband's arms.

"Why can't you promise them?"

"Yes, I can't, Mom. If you are not able to comply with my wishes," replied Rani.

"I've allowed you to work outside as long as you know your duties as a wife and mother" Alka said.

"Yes, you've allowed me. But, I don't want you to demand me to be a full mother" said Rani.

"Rani, this is why I forbid you to work outside so you can focus on taking care of me and the kids" Alka said.

"Mas, enough 'yes. Don't ask me to argue again, the day after I will apply for a job at the old company," said Rani carrying her youngest son into the room.

The next morning, Rani prepares to apply for a job at her old company. Yes, he had to make it again because he had resigned.

"Where are you going?" raline asked who woke up and saw Rani dressed up.

"Mom had a little business" he said.

"Don't be long, yeah!" please Raline.

"Yes," Rani smiled briefly.

Rani comes out of the sitting room with her husband and eldest son.

"Don't you wait for Sean to wake up and go there?" ask Alka.

"No, Mas." Put the fried rice in his mouth.

"Who will they be with?" ask Alka again.

"Mas, can take them to mama's place. I'm not too long either" he replied casually.

Alka sighed.

Rani stood up and grabbed the bag not forgetting to kiss the back of her husband's hand and say goodbye.

Varrel just looked and didn't say much. He went to school with his mother.

Alka was forced to postpone her departure to the workshop, she had to take care of her two children who had not had a bath and breakfast.

Exactly at 8 am, Alka left for work and delivered her two children to her mother's house.

Arriving at Mama Lilis' house, the three got off the bike.

"Ma, I got Raline and Sean, yeah."

"Where is Rani going?"

"He's dropping off a job application, Ma."

"You're letting Rani work?"

"I don't have a choice, Ma. I just want to save my household" Alka replied.

"The love of your children must be lived working by him" said Lilis.

"I don't know what else to do, Ma." Alka is so resigned.

Lilis was speechless as well.

"I'm doing my job, Ma. Later they will be picked up by Rani," said Alka.

Alka who was repairing the customer's motorbike got a phone from the school if Varrel had not been picked up.

Alka hung up her phone call and looked at the clock on her phone. "Where is he? It's eleven o'clock, "inner.

Alka contacted his wife and was taken.

"Hello, Mum!"

"Where are you, Rani?"

"I just had a job interview, Mas. Here's another meeting with my school friends. Coincidentally met them," he replied.

"Just pick her up, I rarely meet my friends," said Rani casually.

"I'm still busy, Rani. The workshop was crowded, my employees one person was sick permission," explained Alka.

"What's wrong with going home for a while and then putting them in my mom's place?"

"I can't, Rani," replied Alka trying to be patient.

"Just have mom pick him up" suggested Rani.

Alka then hung up the phone quickly and clucked in annoyance.

Alka then contacted Mama Lilis to pick up her first son.

At 2 pm, Mama Lilis called Alka and said that Rani had not yet picked up her children.

This made Alka more upset and angry, he then contacted his wife. Didn't wait for the woman to answer. "What's up, Mom?"

"Why haven't you gone home yet, Rani?"

"Mas, I forgot to tell you. One of my friends took us out for a karaoke, it just so happened. Moreover, I have never gone to a place like this again now," he replied.

"Rani, you can have fun but remember your responsibilities as a mother" Alka said.

"Mas, I don't go every day. Why do you think of me as an irresponsible mother?"

"Rani, I don't mean that" explained Alka.

"Cruisely I'll be home" Rani hung up.

Alka took her breath trying to contain her irritation.

At 4 pm, Rani arrived at her in-laws' house not forgetting that she kissed the middle-aged woman's back hand.

"I'm going to pick them up, Ma."

"They're in the room, Sean's sleeping" Lilis said.

Rani walks into the room, Raline who sees her presence runs and approaches her.

Rani hugs and kisses her daughter. "Let's go home!" bring him.

"Yes, Ma," Raline smiled happily.

Rani takes Sean who is asleep in bed and holds him.

Lilis did not want to ask what was the reason her daughter-in-law had long picked up her granddaughter.

"Ma, we're going home" said Rani.

"Yes" said Lilis.

Both of his grandchildren slapped his hands. "We're going home 'yes, Grandma!"

"Yes, be careful" said Lilis.

Alka arrived at her home 2 hours later. He entered the house looking like his wife was on the phone but hurriedly turned it off because he saw Alka coming home from work.

Sean crawled over to Alka with his adorable smile.

"Dad, take a shower. We'll play, yeah!" Alka smiled warmly and then walked to her room regardless of his wife.

Sean tries to catch up to Alka but Rani takes her and holds her.

"Where are you going, Sean?" Rani kisses her youngest son.

Sean pointed towards Alka.

"Finished Daddy shower you will be carried away," said Rani.

Sean finally shut up and listened to his mother's explanation.

Finished cleaning up, Alka came out of the room and held Sean who was playing with his toys.

Rani is busy preparing dinner.

At 7pm, they gather at the table and enjoy a meal together.

Raline and Varrel were so eager to eat it.

However, not for Alka he only took food.

Rani felt if her husband was angry especially the man had contacted her 2 times and argued.

"Varrel, Raline accompanied Sean to play in the room, yeah!" said Alka with a soft voice.

"Where is Dad going?" raline asked with not too clear words.

"Dad wants to talk to Mom" Alka replied as she glanced at her daughter.

"Well, Dad," Varrel said quickly. "Let's play Raline in the room!" bring him.

The female toddler also agreed.

Alka then drove Sean to her children's room.
