My father's charm

My father's charm
Chapter 34 - Always Thinking

In the middle of Alka's dinner with her children, Raline asks Shireen where she is.

"Dad, Aunt Iren why don't you come here?"

"Is that really Varrel?" ask Alka.

"Yes, Dad. From my birthday to now Aunt Shireen has never been here again" she replied.

Alka recalled that her son's birthday was 4 days ago.

"Did you scold Aunt Iren?" ask Raline.

Alka shook her head.

"Why doesn't he want to come here again?"

"Maybe he's busy" Alka replied.

"Tomorrow my grandmother and I will go to Aunt Iren's house" Raline said.

"What are you going to do there?"

"I want to ask you why Aunt Iren never came here" Raline replied.

Alka smiled. "If Aunt Shireen isn't busy, she'll also be here to meet this very chatty and pretty father's son!" pinched his daughter's cheeks gently.

"Dad sick!" his nag.

"Oh, sorry!" Alka showed her cute face.

Raline laughed seeing him as well as Varrel and Sean.

On the eve of sleep, Alka stared at her phone and sought contact on Shireen's behalf but she simply looked at him without daring to contact him.

Alka put her phone on the nightstand shortly after which she grabbed it again and put it back. That he did repeatedly.

"No, I can't call him. I will misunderstand again. Remember Alka! Shireen's getting married, don't spoil her happiness don't you say you don't like her." Talk softly to yourself.

Alka tried to close her eyes, but could not sleep well. The thought of Shireen kept dancing in his head.

Alka woke up and sat down, "Why do I keep thinking about it?"

The sound of a cell phone ringing spread its daydream. Alka hurriedly picked him up and answered him an unknown number. "Hello!"

"Hello, Mas Alka!"

"Rani?"

"Mas, do you still know my voice?" rani's tone seemed pleased when her ex-husband recognized her voice.

"What's wrong?"

"Have the kids slept?"

"You called at ten, of course they're asleep."

"I don't see the clock, Mom."

"Why did you call? What if your husband knows?"

"Andri's not home, he's with his first wife."

"Oh."

"Mas, I want us to meet and bring the children" said Rani.

"What else is Rani? Isn't it all over?"

"Mas, I miss the kids so much."

"You can visit them when I'm not home and remember not to take them out or run away. You gotit?"

"Mas, I also want to meet you."

"Remember your position now, Rani!" saying it firmly.

Rani remained silent.

Alka hung up the phone.

...----------------...

This morning, Alka accidentally came to Shireen's catering and laundry. Yes, usually he carries dirty clothes every 2-3 days. And Sean's clothes are sometimes washed by Lilis.

Alka then asked one of the catering employees, "Can I meet Bu Shireen?"

"Bu Shireen these two days didn't come here, sir."

"Where is he really?"

"I don't know either, sir."

Alka didn't ask any more, she passed.

The employee grabbed his phone and called someone. "He asked Miss Shireen."

"If he asks again just tell me I'm never here again!"

"Ready, Mom!" the employee hung up the phone.

In the workshop, Alka always thought about the existence of Shireen. "Let's forget her, Shireen's someone else's wife. Remember you're not who!"

...----------------...

The next morning, Alka did the same to Shireen's business after dropping off her son at school when she got there, and the employees said she wasn't there.

Unbeknownst to Alka, Shireen came to the man's residence. Yes, he misses the children who have always been a spirit in his days in recent months.

Shireen brought citrus fruits and apples that became the favorite of the son of Alka's daughter.

"Morning!" sapana.

"Aante!" Raline shouted towards him by running and hugging him.

Sean clapped his hands to see his brother excited.

Lilis smiled at the arrival of Shireen.

"Tante, where have you been?"

"Tante is busy, so just got here," he explained.

"Oh."

"Shireen, said Alka you were never at the catering. Where are you going?" ask Lilis.

"I'm still here, Bi."

"You want to avoid Alka?" guess Lilis.

Shireen for a moment then moved her chin slightly.

"Raline accompanied Sean to play, yeah. Grandma wants to talk to Aunt Shireen," Lilis ordered.

"Yes, Grandma." Raline approached her sister.

Shireen took her hand and placed it on the dining table.

"You're angry at Alka?" ask Lilis.

"Are you really getting married?"

"No, Bi. Me and the new candidate of the introductory stage have no application yet" Shireen explained.

"Didn't you have feelings for Alka?"

Shireen looked at Lilis face then shook her head doubtfully.

"Auntie knows you like Alka," she guessed.

"I don't want to expect more, Bi. Mas Alka has not been able to open the door of his heart" Shireen said.

"Auntie can help you to get Alka's heart" said Lilis.

"No, Bi. I don't want Mas Alka to be forced" Shireen said.

Lilis could not speak anymore.

-

In the afternoon, Alka went home to work. He sees Raline and Varrel enjoying citrus fruits. "Who bought you this?" tanyakanya.

"Tante Iren."

"When is Aunt Shireen here?"

"So morning."

Alka pulled the corner of her lips, then walked over to Mama Lilis. "Ma, did Shireen come here?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"But the employee said for a few days he never came" said Alka.

"He told his employees to lie" Lilis said.

"What is he telling his employees to lie?"

"To avoid you!" answer Lilis.

"What's my fault?" ask Alka.

Lilis shrugged her shoulders.

Alka then walked to her room to clean herself, finished the bath she restored her hair with a small towel.

Mama Lilis' reply that said Shireen avoided her flashed in her mind. Alka sat by the side of the bed, "Is she keeping her future husband feeling?"

-

On the eve of sleep, Alka finally contacted Shireen. No waiting for a long sound from a distance.

"Hello!" sapa Alka hesitated.

"Yes, Mas. What's up?"

"Shireen we need to talk" Alka replied.

"Yes, already. Please, Mas."

"I don't want to talk on the phone" Alka said.

"I can't, if Mas Alka wants to talk just say it now" Shireen said.

"Why don't you want to meet, Shireen?"

"It's okay, Mum."

"You have a reason!"

"Yes, I have an excuse but I won't say."

"Shireen, are you still angry?"

"No, Mas."

"Shireen, I'm sorry."

"Mas, enough 'yes. I want to rest, good night!" Shireen hung up.

...----------------...

Alka who did not get a definite reason why Shireen stayed away from him tried to pursue the woman's explanation.

Alka went to the caterer, "I didn't order a side dish today, but wanted to meet with Ms. Shireen. Can I meet him?"

"Bu Shireen hasn't come yet, sir. Probably another hour here" he replied.

"All right, I'll wait for him."

Alka sat in the guest chair.

An hour had passed, Shireen had not come either. Alka is still waiting.

Eventually, one of the employees approached him. "I'm sorry, Mr. Alka. Ms. Shireen didn't come today, she just told me, "she told a lie. An hour ago, the employee contacted Shireen.

"All right, thank you." Alka also passed.

Alka finally chose to visit the Shireen residence not far from her place of business.

By wondering around the street, he finally found the Shireen house that the woman had told him a few months ago.

Alka stared at the two-story house and parked 2 cars and 2 motorcycles in the yard. He pressed the bell near the fence.

Soon a middle-aged woman appeared and approached him, "Who are you looking for, Mas?"

"Mom Shireen."

"Mba Shireen doesn't want to meet anyone today, Mom."

"Auntie, please tell me that I Alka would like to see her."

"In a moment, yeah." The woman entered shortly after and came out. "Sorry, Mas. You are told to go home!" said it.

Alka does not want to argue and force. "Alright, Bi. Thank you!" trying smiling.

The middle-aged woman walked into the house, "Mba, it seems like her Mas is eager to meet."

"I was so lazy to meet him" Shireen said.

"Mba, it looks like it's raining outside. I hope it doesn't rain."

Shireen then peeked out from behind the curtains, whether Alka was gone or not.

Shireen saw that Alka was trying to start the engine.

The wind was blowing quite hard, Alka tried to close her eyes so as not to be exposed to the flying dust.

Shortly after, the rain came down hard. Alka still hasn't left because her bike broke down.

Shireen was staring from the window, her heart could not bear to see him. He took an umbrella and finally came out to Alka. "Mas!"

Alka looked up and smiled.

"Let's go in!" bring Shireen.
