"I just found out that dragons have healing abilities" Sabina said upon their return from Sybilina's place.
"Dragon blood can even provide greater power. Have you never heard the myth that eating a dragon's heart will give you eternal life?" sahut Ladon asked.
"You say it as if it's something to be proud of. What if we're trying to get your heart now?" sambar Sabina cynical.
Ladon chuckles. "I'm confident in my abilities. Although in this form, dragons are still dragons. I'm not that easy to beat."
Sabina snorted short. "The word of the dragon that fainted after eating the spring of Akheron. Be thankful that Aiden and Nora prevented me from stabbing your heart that day."
Aiden also smiled amusedly at Sabina's sarcastic words.
Ladon was just a little squeak. "That's because I haven't moved my body in a long time."
Sabina just laughed a little and shook her head. The three walked together towards the dining room. Although it did not need human food, Sabina still went there because she wanted to accompany Aiden.
"Until when will you follow us" Sabina's protest that saw Ladon constantly tailing.
"I don't know this place yet. As a good host you should have offered to take me around" Ladon said.
His words make sense. Even so Sabina did not feel the need to mingle with the dragon. Besides because he felt Ladon was very annoying, also because the dragon was willing to follow them to come here.
"Your dragon cave is even more confusing, but we go around by ourselves," Sabina replied resentfully.
"At least my guaku is just stone-walled. This house makes me dizzy from being too bright."
"Then just shut up in your room" Sabina snapped.
"Easy-after. We should get Ladon to eat together. What does a dragon usually eat?" ask Aiden to mediate.
Ladon seemed to think for a moment. "I used to love eating people. But lately I've only been hunting big animals like buffalo or wild boar" Ladon replied lightly.
Aiden looked shocked. "Ma ... man?" tanyanya.
"Don't scare Aiden, Dragon," exclaimed angrily Sabina. "Calm down, Aiden, even though you're human, you're a witch. The witch's blood is bad. Meat too. I won't let that thing touch you either" Sabina told Aiden.
Ladon laughed loudly at that. "Are those the right words of comfort? Take it easy, in this form, my portion of food will not be that much. A plate of meat and a glass of wine would be enough for me," Ladon said still half-laughing.
"Thank God then. Let's eat together" Aiden said, looking relieved.
Finally, despite grumbling, Sabina allowed Ladon to eat with them. Because of Miangase's presence in the house, Valerie had stored a lot of human food. Her brother even cooked some food for Aiden as well. A little bit of the rest was given to Ladon.
After eating, Hazel called the three of them into her room. There were Valerie and Miangase already, It seemed like Hazel was planning to talk about their plan of infiltration into the werewolves' base. Now that Ladon and Aiden were seen as useful for the mission, they were both involved in this conversation.
"The journey to the werewolves' headquarters will not be easy. Nora can't help us either because she's still not fully recovered. Especially with its large form as a griffin, it will actually attract the attention of their hordes.
"Therefore I have decided to take the five of you on this mission. Me, Valerie and Sabina could just fly near their base. However, since the others cannot do so, then we need a new strategy to approach the werewolves' territory" Hazel said.
"I'm honestly curious about the book you're carrying, Dragon. Isn't that something that can make us move around easily?" hazel asked Ladon.
"I have a name, Vampire. Be polite if you want to ask for help" Ladon lamented.
Hazel took a deep breath. Sabina already thought that their quarrel might happen again. However, his father turned out to be wiser than he seemed. Hazel relented and called Ladon's name correctly.
"Alright, Ladon. About the teleportation book. Can we use it to reach the werewolves' territory?" ask Hazel later.
"It could be, if you've ever been to that place. The requirement to teleport with the book is that the author of the destination address must have visited the place he wrote," Ladon replied.
Hazel was stunned for a moment. "I've never really entered their territory. But I've been to an area close enough to the lycan headquarters. Maybe we can go there with the magic book to shorten the time" Hazel said later.
Sabina and the others nodded in agreement.
"Then what are we going to do to be able to enter their territory secretly, Father? The smell of the dogs is very sensitive to our scent" Valerie asked later.
"If that's the case, I can disguise your existence with disguise magic. The scent of even your aura can be hidden for a period of time" Miangase suggested later.
"How long?" ask Hazel.
"Maybe about six hours. But I can renew it whenever the magic spell almost fades."
"I can help Miangase do that. It would be too tiring if you had to bounce six people together periodically. We can share our duties, Miangase," Aiden said, offering help.
Miangase nodded happily. "That's gonna help me a lot, Aiden."
"Alright, the second problem is resolved. Next, we need to think about the location of the Ephestus magic stone that we must destroy. I have this werewolf base plan from one of my acquaintance vampires. Their family lives closest to the Lycan region. Therefore they could make this plan after observing and infiltrating it several times inside." Hazel said as she unfolded a sizable roll of paper.
The paper roll contains a drawing of the floor plan of a large area covered in dense forest with a settlement in the middle. There were several guard posts on the outer side of the forest and although there was no protective fortification, but Sabina knew, the instincts and olfactory power of the lycan was enough to be an alarm sign of danger.
"Unfortunately, this plan was made a year ago. Looking at the movements of the werewolves lately, their numbers must have doubled. That's why we need to be vigilant."
