Fire Breath
Death Mountains

"Sabina!" aiden Sumringah said he saw the girl coming.

"I found it" Sabrina said, showing her the glass ball she was carrying.

"What's this?" tanya Aiden received the glass ball thrust by Sabina.

"The fish is poisonous. The Springs of Life and Death were not here. It's in the belly of the hill, behind that waterfall." Sabina recounts her entire experience of meeting Akheron to get the glass ball.

Nora and Aiden seem to be listening to Sabina's story carefully. When Sabina came to the discussion about the pool water melting her body, Aiden burst into rage.

"Why is such a dangerous thing you have to face alone? You can call us to go together," exclaimed Aiden looking very worried.

"Now I'm fine. The cave disappeared after I got this goldfish. I'm not sure if I got out of there and looked for you first, will the cave still be there" Sabina said.

Aiden looked worried. "Other times we have to go together to deal with such dangerous situations" he said.

Sabina nodded slowly with a smile. Aiden's never been this angry before. He knew that the young man was angry because of his great concern for him. That made Sabina feel a little happy.

"Can we continue our journey now?" nora said later.

"Sabina must rest first, Nora. He's just been through a difficult incident" Aiden said.

"Oh, come. He's a vampire.  It's past noon anyway. We must leave before night comes" Nora lamented.

"Yes, Aiden. I'm doing fine. The water from Akheron has given me enough energy" Sabina said in support of Nora's statement.

"No! Once not still not. If we need to spend the night here. We can leave early in the morning," cried Aiden uncontested.

Nora gave a long grumble when Sabina finally chose to follow Aiden's wishes. He then flew away in annoyance. Sabina let Nora go for a moment to calm down. He may also need to look around the area to make their trip easier tomorrow morning.

Sabina and Aiden were now alone, sitting in front of a waterfall that was making a loud thump.

"When I met Akheron, I thought about a lot of things, Aiden" Sabina said.

"What's that?"

"The teak given by the nymph. Suffering that is coveted by everyone, life. For me, life is like a curse. We vampires can live for hundreds of years. And therefore we have to experience various sad partings with the closest people outside our people" Sabina said.

"Do you have any other human friends besides me?"

Sabina shakes. "I never thought about it before. But having known you, I'm now afraid that you'll leave me first."

Aiden grabbed Sabina's hand and clasped her tightly. "Don't think of bad things. We just need to enjoy our time in the moment" he said trying to calm Sabina's anxiety.

But Sabina's grief doesn't seem to go away easily. "Aiden, how about you become a vampire like me?"

Aiden looked flabbergasted. He doesn't know what to answer. Throughout his life, Aiden never had the desire to have eternal life. For him, life and death were the most rational cycles for humans. Therefore he never imagined himself to be transformed into another being other than humans.

Sabina simply smiled wryly hearing that.

"Forget it. Sorry for asking such a strange question," Sabina said later.

"No. It's not that. I want to be with you longer. I also understand your concerns. That's why I'm going to try to consider it. It wasn't an easy decision, because I didn't know how vampires lived. Maybe I should get ready to lose my drowsiness. It was a sensation that was hard to forget to be honest," Aiden said trying to joke around.

Sabina snorted short. "You're right. Since I was never human, I did not consider your point of view. I'm sorry."

Aiden smiled warmly in response. The young man held Sabina into his arms. Sabina hugged him back. The future for them will not be easy. Even so Sabina thought of her family who also decided to live with humans. Even his mother was a human. Valerie's sister is also with a human witch. At least there is still hope for him and Aiden in the future.

The night came down quickly. Nora arrived shortly after sunset. Although still annoyed, but Nora's grunt had not been as long as before. He just rolled in anger and pretended to sleep while waiting for the morning to come.

Shortly after that morning came. Sabina who wakes up alone starts to wake Nora and Aiden. He wanted to quickly complete the trip and return to their comfortable home. I don't know why his feelings have gotten worse since yesterday.

Aiden groaned softly upon waking up, while Nora squirming stretched her body. After a short breakfast, the group finally continued their journey. Because there was no place that needed to be stopped again, they finally decided to use the air route to continue their journey.

With a single powerful crack, Sabina and Nora darted flying. Aiden was as usual riding on Nora's back which had already turned into a griffin. The view from above shows a homogeneous forest whose tree distance is very tenuous. The mountains of death were already visible at the western end. The closer to the hut, the rarer the trees grow.

Even in the area around that death mountain range, there was only a sight of black-colored dry land. They flew around for a while. There was no sign of life there. The only movement was the smoke roof on the highest mountain peak.

"Where did we land?" ask Nora.

Sabina stared at the entire mountain range. His vampire eyes dove into a huge niche that sits on one of the largest mountain walls.

"Follow me," cried Sabina then darted towards a niche similar to the giant cave.

Nora followed the girl. Both of them flew low and landed on the sloping ground in front of a niche. Hot air directly hit them, seemed to burn the body with a temperature above normal. Sabina clenched her wings and changed her form back into a beautiful girl. Nora turns into a lion after Aiden comes down from her back.

"Akheron says we have to face a dragon here. Should we look for him first?" sabina asked while thinking.

"Are there dragons today?" comments by Nora.

"I just heard it too" said Aiden.

"We don't know. The clue Akheron gave was about the dragon treasure. He said the silver bullet was pegged along with the other treasures," Sabina said later.

"Then we better focus on finding the treasure first" Aiden suggested.

"What's the point of those things?" nora asked as she watched the golden teapot, the glittering glass ball and the dragon sword that Aiden had brought.

"Eitherway. We might be able to tell after trying to find the treasure. Or find a dragon. I don't know which happened first. According to legend, dragon treasures are usually hidden in the labyrinth cave in the hull of the mountains. The problem is that such caves have many forked roads that can make people get lost. Not to mention the possibility of a powerful dragon living in it," Aiden explained.

"Don't worry about the labyrinth. Sabina and I have good navigation skills" Nora said.

"Then let's try to get in. It looks like this is the door to the dragon's lair," Aiden continued followed by nods from Sabina and Nora.
