Banshees

Roberta offers Sabina and Aiden to wait at her house. Of course they both accepted the offer. Besides because they need more information about the banshee, also because they must have a stopover before the banshee appears.

Towards noon, Roberta serves lunch in the style of the city. Various side dishes such as fish, vegetables and fruits are held on the square wooden table they sit on earlier.  Roberta's house consists of only three rooms. The first room is the widest, functioned as a multipurpose room, where they sit at this time. The room was used to welcome guests as well as the kitchen and dining room. A fire-breathing patio was at the end of the room, where Roberta prepared the dish.

The next room was bounded with a brown-covered wooden bulkhead that Sabina thought was a bed considering that every human needed a bed to rest. The last room is the toilet. Sabina finds out because Aiden just used the toilet. Roberta's house is small, and she seems to be living alone. Even so, this middle-aged woman did not look lonely. Maybe he's used to it.

Roberta also turned friendly after talking to them for a longer time. The Forbidden Dark City was already filled with magic myths, therefore when he learned that Aiden was a witch, Roberta grew more enthusiastic and quickly prepared lunch for them. Even Nora gets rations of one whole fish fresh. Well even a fish wouldn't be enough for her, but Nora looked satisfied.

Aiden ate it well. They continued to talk until it fell in the afternoon. Roberta tells amazing stories about the city in its former glory days, as well as about its past when it was young. Sabina only listened in passing as her mind focused on thinking about how to deal with the banshee tonight.

"What does that banshee look like?" asked Sabina later.

"His form was like a young woman with messy hair and a sinister face. She was wearing a long white dress. His arrival was accompanied by the sound of a miserable shrill scream. People have seen him hover around the village and anyone caught by him will disappear" Roberta explained.

That information is more than enough. If the banshee is loud, it will be easy to find it. Now just think about the problem of the gold teapot.

"Do you have some kind of gold teapot?" sabina asked.

Roberta shook her head sure. "Of course I don't have. Does anyone want to use gold to make a pot?"

Roberta's question makes sense. But according to Miangase, they will find the gold teapot by the time they find the banshee. What does that mean?

"Then I lend you a pot. Who knows can help," said Roberta who then moved to the shelf near the pond.

The woman then took a dull gray teapot on the bottom of which was jet black because it was filled with soot. Roberta then extended the small teapot to them. Aiden accepted it with resignation.

The night came without feeling. Aiden and Sabina immediately prepared for the banshee. After thanking Roberta, the two then left the woman's house followed by Nora. Roberta prayed for their success and then immediately closed the doors and windows of her house tightly, worried that the banshee could go inside.

Amidst the darkness, the three of them walked in silence. The city was completely dark because not a single person had lights outside his house. All the houses were so tightly closed that they had no gaps to peek through. Darkness enveloped all three of them.

Luckily Sabina and Nora are nocturnal creatures. The two of them were not too bothered by the darkness as they could still see with different frequencies of light.  But things are a bit more difficult for Aiden. Therefore he decided to light his wand as street lighting.

"She's already appeared, Sabina," whispered Aiden softly.

Sabina nodded. "Let's go over to that voice," Sabina said slightly trembling.

"Just like that? Without making preparations or ascertaining the creature's abilities first?" ask Aiden worriedly.

"We can tell after coming face to face with her, right?" asked Sabina plain.

"Em. that's right, but still.." Aiden tried to explain but he also had no plans.

"Here you go, let's just go there," sissed Nora who suddenly turned into his strongest form, griffin. It seemed like Nora was also a little daunted against the banshee.

Aiden actually wanted to hold Sabina's hand. Unfortunately, carrying a teapot while carrying a cane kept both hands busy. He could not possibly have Sabina carry the teapot, considering that Sabina's only weapon was the two claws in her hand. If the girl has to carry a teapot, it means that she can only use half of her hand. Realizing that Aiden was forced to undo his intention to hold Sabina.

Finally, after walking out of the alley, the three saw the banshee hover without direction near the old well in the square. Luckily the banshee wasn't looking at them. So carefully the three of them settled down and hid behind the darkness.

Roberta's description of the banshee is not wrong, just a little less accurate. Actually only one thing is lacking from Roberta's explanation, but that is the most important thing: the banshee is glowing. From his slum body, the banshee gave off a silvery dim light that made his body visible in the darkness. The problem is, the light turned out to have a bad effect for humans, especially men.

For some reason, when he saw the glowing banshee, Aiden's body was hypnotized. Unknowingly Aiden began to walk closer to the monstrous creature in the form of the long-haired woman. Sabina was initially unaware of the strangeness that had happened to Aiden, and only thought Aiden was trying to carry out a sneak attack from behind.

But after a while, Sabina did not see Aiden raising his staff. The girl also realized the strange. Sabina then ran after Aiden while calling him half screaming. Unfortunately, Sabina's efforts were too late. The banshee had already turned around and flew towards Aiden then pounced on him into a hug.

His hideous face grinned at Sabina who was trying to save Aiden. While the banshee's long slum dress continued to move around in a twist around Aiden until his body was barely visible anymore. Aiden was swallowed alive by the banshee.

Sabina shouts angrily and soon transforms into a vampire form, complete with wings and deadly fangs. Without a second thought, Sabina charged towards the banshee that was devouring Aiden alive.
