"Ilume!" aiden shouts a light at the end of his wand.
The cave - like any other cave - is very dark and stuffy. Sabina noticed the difference in the atmosphere of this cave with the Akheron cave. Here the temperature is very hot, in contrast to the Akheron cave which although full of piles of corpses, but feels cool. The three continued to try to penetrate the cave even though hot air surrounded.
After a while of silent walking, they met the first intersection. Two paths lead to the right and left. Sabina tried to guess the direction of the temperature that was warmer, assuming the heat was coming from the dragon. They ended up turning left, a direction that Sabina and Nora had agreed on.
Intersections after the next intersection also appeared. Sometimes there are only two paths, but not a few are branching more than three.. Sabina and Nora chose the path according to the previous assumption. Which path feels hotter and smells like sulfur, that's what they choose. Sometimes they also found a stone room large enough to contain bones. Yet Sabina was not in the mood to notice what creatures had been slaughtered in that place.
After going through a steep path with extraordinary derivatives and climbs, they finally reached the end of the hall. Sabina who was walking the very front immediately stopped her steps, as there was no way in front of her anymore. His feet could not trace anything. The end of the hallway is a large hole that is basically invisible because it is too dark.
From the hole came out the heat and the stinging smell of sulfur mixed with burning objects. Sizzling sounds rang out since they were ten steps away from the place.
Aiden tried to peer out of the cave, but there was not much to see. He only occasionally saw flashes of faint light in the distance. Sabina and Nora who have better eyesight then take turns peeping.
It turns out that in the hole there is a very large stone dome-shaped room on each side of the wall filled with other holes. Sabina suspected the holes were other passageways to different locations. In the middle of that super-large stone room, there was a pile of various kinds of treasures.
Sabina looked at the glittering gemstones, gold and silver jewelry, even armor and swords. All those precious objects stacked together to create a huge pile that resembled a treasure mountain. Overall, the floor of the room was also filled with a variety of silver gold and many gemstones.
It was the first time Sabina had seen so many treasures stacked in the same place. His family is one of the richest vampires. However the amount of treasures in this room was at a level that far exceeded the Sabina family's treasures even after being gathered from generation to generation.
Then, to complete the luxurious scenery, a large creature that Sabina sure is a dragon, was coiled comfortably on the treasure island. The dragon was truly extraordinarily large. Sabina lived for 116 years, the dragon was the largest creature she had ever seen. His dark blue scales seemed to occasionally sparkle in the light of small flames that occasionally burst out from the dragon's nose. It seemed like the dragon had a breath of fire.
"Do you see anything" whispered Aiden who automatically shrank the volume.
"There's a lot of valuable stuff down there. I don't know where the silver bullet we're looking for. It will take a long time to find the small object, and unfortunately, a fire-breathing dragon is now sleeping on top of the treasure pile," Sabina whispered.
"We can sneak around and look for it while the dragon is asleep" Aiden suggested.
"With the risk that he'll wake up and bake us alive? Not to mention the possibility that the thing we were looking for was under his body. We can't get the dragon to shift properly, can we" Nora said.
"Then we just kill the dragon while sleeping" Sabina also suggested.
"Dragon skin is harder than any object in this world. The Dragon's only weakness was stabbing his heart from under his body. You must make the dragon sleep on its back if you want to kill him. Rubbing her face will also only upset her, then grilling us into dinner." Nora commented again.
"Let's think carefully about the usefulness of these things. Miangase told us to bring this with us definitely not without cause," Aiden said then put down the three things they had just obtained: a golden teapot, a sparkling glass ball with a goldfish inside, and a dragon sword.
"Why didn't you ask me how to use these things yesterday?" nora's grumbling is upset.
"We forgot. We don't think long either. That's humane" said Aiden.
"Sabina is not human" Nora chirped.
"Either that. Because I'm not human, so I don't think too complicated. I thought we could just kill the dragon" replied Sabina lightly.
Nora clucked irritably at the mannerisms of the two people. The two of them were truly too relaxed in the face of this journey. How could he who is a griffin be more vigilant than the pair of witches and vampires. They have a brain that should be more advanced. Unlike him, the ancient animals were more primitive.
"We can't possibly take out a banshee to fight a dragon, right?" ask Aiden to weigh in.
"You're just going to piss him off and then melt all the treasure in that place, including the silver bullet" Nora flatly said.
"Are we drinking poisonous water from the Water of Akheron?" sabina Moistur.
"How is it? You want to force open the fire-breathing dragon's mouth? Your body will be roasted before you even manage to touch the tip of the muzzle," Nora's sambar grew impatient.
"Then how? We're thinking hard, too, Nora. Your comments really don't help," Sabina's sergeant was also upset.
"It is precisely my comments that can save you from reckless actions!" sergeant Nora is no less emotional.
"If you're that smart try to give us a way out!" sabina again snatched.
"You yourself are careless and did not ask clearly the usefulness of these things to Miangase! Why should I think!" Nora exclaimed in anger.
"Stop it. Your voice can wake the dragon. If you yell like that, his voice can echo, " whispered Aiden trying to tear the two apart.
Shortly after Aiden said that, suddenly the sound of the dragon's hiss grew louder, accompanied by the sound of friction of dragon skin with metal objects. The voice was like the whistling of a boiling kettle. The dragon was clearly moving. Sabina, Aiden and Nora immediately turned wary, worried in case the giant beast had awakened from its slumber.
