"Tomorrow I will see you, now get out of here" Roderick said.
"Well, if you still can't get that insurance I think you should sell this house," the man laughed.
"Shut up, get out of here!!!" answer Roderick's emotions.
Then the two men got back in their car and left.
"What did uncle do?" ask Damon coldly.
"Yes, I'm so sorry about what happened. My life is a mess because of this. Before Edith died, we actually had plans to leave the country. But everything just got messed up. Edith was fired because the two men always came to her office and made a fuss. They were also in my office, but my boss was still able to accept my reasoning and I applied for a job mutation. When Edith goes down, they threaten that Edith will harass Velvet at her school and humiliate her, Yes, it's my fault. They just take away their rights. But they attacked everyone around me. I don't know how else to deal with this" Roderick sat crouching with his head.
"Wow, I'm really sorry, I destroyed everything" Roderick said.
"How much does uncle owe?" ask Damon.
"A million dollars" replied Roderick.
"I'll take care of it" Damon said at last.
Roderick looked straight at Damon.
"Are you kidding me?" ask Roderick seriously.
"I'm not kidding, I'm telling them to come to my house tomorrow. We'll take care of the rest" Damon replied.
"Thank you, thank you." Roderick knelt down and held Damon's legs together.
"I'm not doing this for you. But for Velvet. After this go far away from him," Damon said coldly.
Roderick nodded many times and thanked Damon.
Then Damon opened the gate of the fence and headed for his motorcycle. Damon decided to go home, because he thought the matter was obvious.
"No, I fixed my bike, I went home first. I'm waiting for you tomorrow at my house" Roderick said.
"Well, be careful on the road" Roderick said.
Damon did not answer and immediately launched his motorbike with high speed. He didn't say goodbye to Velvet because he thought Velvet was asleep.
Roderick then went back inside the house. At first glance it looked as bright as a smile on his face.
Velvet retreated from the door and sat in the dark corner of the room. I don't know what he's thinking. Whether or not he can forgive Roderick is technically Edith's death was purely an accident.
Then Roderick went inside the house and locked the door. He didn't see Velvet there.
Roderick went straight to his room next to the stairs. Velvet stood up and headed for the stairs to climb into her room.
Velvet's feet stopped when she heard Roderick's laughter from the room. Velvet turned around and went back down. He headed to Roderick's room and listened to Roderick's words which seemed to be calling someone.
"Tomorrow the day after we fly out of this unlucky country, baby. I got an unexpected windfall. Edith's death insurance has been liquid and it's gone into my account and my debt will be paid by the conglomerate. We'll have fun later.
"Calm down, there's no need to talk about the boy. His father was very wealthy even though he was just an outcast. He must have inherited from that old man. So I don't think he's going to have a problem with Edith's death insurance, which from the beginning was in my name as the recipient" Roderick continued.
Velvet retreated her steps. He looked shocked at what he heard. He didn't expect Roderick to be that bad and cunning to his mother and himself.
All he showed all along was a mere falsehood let alone Roderick also betrayed his mother.
Velvet turned around and walked towards the kitchen. He's pensively pensively in the dark. Empty look. His heart arrived empty. Velvet frowned and couldn't cry anymore.
Roderick betrayed his mother and himself in a very cruel way. Indirectly this makes him not trust anyone anymore.
Roderick was so clever at hiding his rottenness that it was almost flawless and perfect.
