Don't Say Love (BOOK 2)

Don't Say Love (BOOK 2)
Chapter 31

The man stared at the guts of a man who was now prostrating before him. Without mercy he has destroyed one by one what is owned by a Rivai. The middle-aged man who once looked gallant walking on the property he owned today had to submit under the power of a Jullian who was ready to destroy all the glory he had. In front of his former son-in-law, Rivai must throw away all the honor he once held high on the basis of the degree of one's wealth. The man can now only come to Jullian's office and beg for forgiveness for any wrongdoing which he himself still doubts whether it was his fault or not.

"Please forgive my daughter's mistake. Please return all of my company's assets as before."

Would please?

Jullian almost laughed at the man who had been present in his life as a father-in-law. It was unbelievable to him that all this time he had been living in the midst of a herd of wolf-feathered sheep. He was so blind as to keep his ex-wife's family happy over the suffering of others. Rivai can still laugh when his ex-wife and son starve after being sent abroad.

A month ago, Jullian had officially discarded his title as part of the rotten family. Since the beginning of his marriage to Lusi, Jullian has prepared a prenuptial document that is certainly not read carefully by his ex-wife. Lusi was too happy to get what he wanted so he did not realize that there was a point where Jullian could at any time sue without any division of common property, he said, if Luci was one moment guilty of her, the woman easily signed the document without even reading it.

Yes, Jullian should have realized before that kind of behavior that had brought him into the pit of hell. And given that the woman had deceived him so badly, Jullian would not be so kind anymore. He has withdrawn all of his shares from his ex-wife's family-owned company. In fact, he also influenced investors to withdraw all investment funds from the company.

Let it!

If Jullian is destroyed, he won't suffer alone. The man who has made it this way must feel twice the destruction he feels. Jullian did not care about the roar his ex-wife made when the judge's hammer declared that their marriage was over. Even Jullian took custody of Arif's children from the hands of Lusi. There was nothing he would share with his ex-wife.

"Son, please beg you." Rivai lirih.

Jullian did not immediately answer. The man smiled at what he heard. With ease Rivai begged him, while there used to be a young woman and her mother who also begged not to be thrown away. There is a child who suffers only because his father chooses to make his other child happy.

"please? Do you still deserve to beg me ?"Jullian asked while straddling. His face seemed to have no trace of hospitality. No more courtesy manners that he showed to his former in-laws. He has become a demon and all this thanks to a small family that has destroyed his life.

Soon Jullian pressed the phone on his desk. He seemed to be contacting someone who answered directly across the street.

"Please come to my room." he said.

While Rivai is still faithfully gathered in front of his former daughter-in-law. He hoped that Jullian would forgive immediately the actions done by Lusi and Amara. He never knew what his wife and children were doing. All this time he thought that his son's household was fine. However, a month ago he was surprised by the news that his company was almost collapsed because all investors withdrew their funds and Jullian also did the same.

Still he remembered Amara rampaging at him because all their family assets had to be confiscated by the bank because everything they had he guaranteed for a large project that was carried out with Jullian. Now when the man withdraws all his company's funds, Rivai ends. He has nothing to own. It was only a house, the only treasure he did not guarantee. But, paying hundreds of employees can not be covered just by selling a house. The only person who could help him was Jullian.

"Son, I beg you to help your company. I'll do whatever you ask that the company doesn't go bankrupt. There are many employees who need to be paid. They all depend on me."

Actually it's not just that. Amara could go berserk on him again. His wife won't let poverty rule him again. The woman had already felt poverty before they got married. Rivai won't let his beloved wife experience it again.

But not a single bit of Jullian's heart was moved. The man was still standing with a haughty face looking at Rivai's helplessness. His heart felt absolutely no pity for the misfortune that befell the old man. Her shadow of the woman who had now departed from her life haunted her more and it was that face that made her determination to destroy these people even more so.

"There used to be a girl begging you for help. But, you never seem to remember who that kid was and why now you care more about the lives of hundreds of employees who in fact are strangers?"

Rivai raised his head and met a look with Jullian who was still looking at him with a piercing look. The man's gaze was challenging what answer he would give.

"If you're referring to Arnetta, then I'd say the demon boy deserves it." Grunt Rivai while hissing. "He's the one who made Ratih hate me."

Yes, he hated his son. The child he never expected to see. If Arnetta never existed, maybe he could still be with Ratih. Rivai never wanted the girl's child from the beginning. He just wanted to train with him in good health. But, since the pregnancy of Arnetta, his ex-wife became more concerned about his contents than his own health. And what he hated the most was when Ratih preferred to be divorced rather than having to get rid of Arnetta who was still in the womb.

Jullian there tried to hold back his anger that had peaked when his ears heard the humiliation Rivai had done to his own biological son. I don't know what demon has possessed the man to make him hate Arnetta so much.

"If you're curious, let me tell you. Arnetta is not the child I expected. He was a child who was born to make his mother suffer. Ratih's health is declining because she's desperate to give birth to that damn child!"

The man could no longer hold it. With a flash of motion, Jullian walked over to Rivai and pulled both of his lapels until the old man was forced to stand up. His face approached and shouted in front of Rivai's face with a murderous gaze of "Fuck! He's your son, goddamn it!"

Luckily, not long before two security people came and made Jullian inevitably have to remove his grip from the collar of Rivai's clothes.

"Take him away. Don't let this trash set foot in here. She and her daughter, Lucia. You guys got it ?"

"Ratih is dead. The kid you call fucking tried to save him and sell his own body, but your dear wife screwed things up."

Rivai never asked again what Jullian meant. But one thing that made the man seem to lose his footing. His blood flow was sucked out of his body and made the old man fall in front of the secretary's desk as the security forces slightly loosened their grip.

Rowena, who just happened to be behind the secretary's desk, walked over to the man. He also helped Rivai stand up and look at him full of anxiety.

"Uncle what's up ?"

Rivai couldn't say anything. The question just seemed to cross his head without needing to be processed into his brain. Suddenly, he froze in place.

Ratih is dead.

The woman he secretly loved besides Amara was no longer in the same world as him. No woman ever loved him sincerely and made him a man who never demanded anything. Just practice healthy living with him.

In the midst of Rivai's silence, the man could still make a sound, but was turned back with his heart. He unknowingly mentioned the name of Arnetta which immediately ignited the flames of Rowena's anger. The woman immediately suspected that this mess must have been caused by the snake woman. The woman who used to do good acting became her best friend before finally making her the most despicable woman.

Rowena won't stay quiet. He will make Arnetta regret having made him feel humiliated first. That woman should be taught a lesson.

**

A pair of eyes that usually cast a sharp glare at each interlocutor, now after a long time back radiating sadness through a sad gaze when he saw an inanimate object that became a living witness to how cruel his treatment to someone who had never even been guilty. Be a witness when his big hand once almost crushed the neck of a woman. It was still fresh in his memory when the woman begged for forgiveness as she treated him inhumanely. Just a simple plea he should have made first. However, Hatred had blinded his eyes. He never realized that what he had done now brought solace to him.

Perhaps others could say it too whiny for a man, but his mistake was too great. For years he had held a grudge against the wrong person. He has accused the woman of vile things that he should have loved and is still very much loved to this day. He knew that the feeling was still there and always will be. However, the shadow of his mother's pale face that almost died always haunted him. It was that face that always appeared when his conscience began to shout to stop his madness just yet.

Rice has become porridge. It all happened and he could only stop. He did not want to be too excited to find where the figure went. He knew enough himself that he would never be worthy to ask the woman for forgiveness. Even prostrating on his feet will never be enough to wipe out all the treatment first.

Arnett.

Even to call his name the man felt himself too despicable. The thing he could now do was lament all the things that once gave me memories of when the woman occupied the room she used to.

"Sir."

The man heard a voice he recognized calling out to him. But he refused to turn his body. It was still comfortable to keep his back while looking at the bed that Arnetta used to close his eyes.

Yes, he should know why the woman is sleeping more often than having to open her eyes. The world is cruel and he also adds to the list of atrocities that befell the poor woman's life.

"You haven't eaten anything in two days."

The man knew that his stomach had rebelled since yesterday to be filled. When he looked at the reflection of his face in front of the mirror, one hundred percent he realized that his face was like an undead. His body was a little limp, but he had no other purpose than to come to this room. A small corner of his heart hoped that if he came to this room, there would be a figure he was waiting for lying there.

"Can I still eat well while I know that the cause of this suffering is myself ?" Mumbled.

Jullian raised his face upwards to cry out tears that had almost come out. Since Arnetta's departure he has been a man who cries easily. At least he remembered the woman, so his self-defense was destroyed.

Maria could only fall silent behind Jullian. He knew exactly how much his boss had suffered since he knew the truth. Lusi has made Jullian destroyed. The woman had confessed to all the crimes she had committed that had made Jullian's hatred of Arnetta even worse. Only this time too did Maria see Jullian slump like this. Usually the man will always appear dashing without gaps. His entire life nurturing Jullian since childhood, this was the first time he had seen the man cry so easily like this.

"What is he doing right now ? Is my Arnett eating well ? Is she cravings like most pregnant women ? Is he sleeping comfortably now ? Is he ..."

Jullian was unable to continue the question as if he were pointing to the sky that was ruling over him. The man slammed onto the floor and cried. The man immediately sat on the floor while covering his eyes. Both of his shoulders trembled violently amidst the sound of sobbing coming out of his mouth.

Maria immediately approached Jullian and positioned herself beside him. The middle-aged woman carried Jullian's head into her arms. There is nothing Jullian needs but a love to ease the remorse he believes will last a lifetime. Even if Arnetta comes back, it's certainly not the same.
