07. Mutually Guard

"Mr Udo! Lord Udo!" call a man who is so impatient to report something.

The man was standing in front of someone standing by the window. His bead of red eyes shone in the darkness, making anyone who saw it would feel the immense power of those eyes.

"What's up, Genjo?" tanyakanya.

"Mr Udo, I found such great strength when I was about to hunt humans" he said. "The power comes from a boy. He was even able to make my body crash so far away with just a glance at his eyes."

"A child?"

"Yes, Sir. Looks like, he was also a vampire when I smelled that strong. He was with a human. Ah, and his eyes... She has blue eyes, like Shunji, sir."

The man walked up to stand in front of Genjo. "Are you sure what you saw?"

"Yes, Sir. I'm sure, if that vampire might have had a relationship with Shunji, too. Their eyes were both similar," he said with complete confidence.

Udo chuckled and then broke the silence. It makes Genjo just continue to rest under his feet without bothering the happiness of his master.

But the laughter suddenly stopped which successfully created tension all around.

"Genjo," called Udo glancing down haughtily and with cold water. "How dare you bring up that useless weakling and that calamity before me!"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Udo!" Genjo held Udo's leg in full supplication. "I just... See the truth, sir. The boy is a vampire, and he looks like Shunji even his blue eyes."

"So the boy has great power? Different from Shun?"

"I-yes, Sir. I'm sure once, the power can even be felt and it will give your body goosebumps when you approach it."

"Is that so?" Udo turned towards his throne by the window. He sat there, hitchhiking and thinking about something.

"Bring him to me" he said, making Genjo lift his face.

"Yes?"

"I want to see it. Bring the boy to me."

"Okay, Mr. Udo!"

In the middle of the conversation, a woman was sitting in a chair by the fireplace reading a book. Although his eyes were reading, his sharp ears heard the conversation between Genjo and Udo.

"Shun.." - She looked at the fire with sadness while imagining her longing for Shun.

Elsewhere, Hina and Yuki get out of the car when they get home. Hina sees that Shun's car is already in place, guessing that the man has already returned home.

When entering, anxiety does not stop approaching. Hina's eyes keep an eye around, afraid that Shun might come to attack her for using the car without her permission and take Yuki out of the house to play in a place where there are many humans.

"Dad is in his room" said Yuki, able to read Hina's fear.

"Thank God." I thought he was gonna come here and nag me.

As the night wore on, Hina was still sitting on the bed with misgivings. He won't sleep, not even anymore. Shun could have attacked him in a dream seeing the man not one bit stop by to meet him at this time to just get angry.

But because she had not slept from yesterday, Hina yawned until her body just fell down with sleepiness. His breathing began to be regular. Because the thought of fearing dreams, his eyes had to open again. Hina woke up her body while painstakingly enduring the sleepiness.

"Master Shun?" call Hina to make sure when her eyes see a shadow standing at the door of the room.

The shadow walked over until a beam from outside highlighted Shun's face clearly.

"W-how did you get in here?" Hina felt that the door to her room had been locked.

"Who told you to get that kid out of here?" tanya Shun stood by the bed.

Hina looked around nervously. "I'm sorry. I just. I just wanted to take her-"

"Do you want to tell all the humans about us? Are you threatening me?" accuse Shun of tightening his chuckle so Hina coughed.

"Detach.kan me... Uhuk! Uhuk!"

"You think I'll let you? Dreams are the world I can control and my greatest strength. I can kill you right now, too," Shun said with his glowing blue eyes.

Hina smacked the man's hand. His heart was screaming for help. But realizing she was in a dream that became Shun's territory, Hina could only endure the pain of a giggle that could make her neck crack in a moment.

"Hina," called Yuki who suddenly appeared.

The call made Hina instantly wake up from her sleep, stopping the nightmare that made her cough around her neck.

I almost died.

Hina poked her head from the door of her room to make sure things were safe outside. He also settles down the stairs, but a loud noise makes his intention to run off.

Plakkkp!

One loud slap landed again on Yuki's face. He was clenching his hands when Shun violently slapped his face several times until his last slap made Yuki's small body fall to the floor.

"Yuki!" call Hina running quickly towards Yuki. "What are you doing?!"

Shun looked down at Hina who was sitting hugging Yuki while throwing a look of emotion at her.

"I should ask you that, what are you doing here?! Don't interfere in my affairs with her!" snapped Shun.

"Stop slapping him again. He's not wrong. She was just a little child," martial Hina tightened her embrace on Yuki's body with full protection.

"Who are you? Don't defend. I have to give him a punishment," Shun said as he reached for Yuki's arm.

But Hina pushed him. He got up then...

Plakkkp!

One slap now landed on Shun's face. Silence was created for a while. Hina realized her already slapped hand was beginning to tremble which came down to hide.

"Are you right, father? Why are you treating your own son like that? You've never seen Yuki so lovingly, as a father should. What's your problem, huh? You don't even deserve to be called a father! You didn't teach him anything. You did not give him any experience other than your cold attitude without compassion on him. You just traumatized him with your rude attitude. You shouldn't treat a kid like that let alone him your son. You're a bad father! If I were your son, I would even curse you a thousand times!"

Hina ended the resentment in her heart towards Shun. His chest rose and fell with a breath of gasps, while Shun was just speechless looking at him.

"Say something! Why are you guys just quiet?!" snapped Hina who felt wronged because she was left to nag herself like crazy.

"You..." Shun started to make his heavy voice. "Do you know what you did just now?"

"I don't regret anything. If you want to kill me again in a dream, go ahead. But I don't want you to torture Yuki and continue to treat her so harshly. You're father. You should know your duties and responsibilities to a child," Hina replied despite the fact that her heart was in turmoil.

Shun doesn't comment on anything anymore. He walked past Hina just like that which made Hina slowly exhale a sigh of relief. He massaged his still trembling hand after slapping the man.

"Hina," called Yuki holding Hina's trembling hand while throwing a sparkling gaze, tipped to hug Hina just like that.

"Thank you. I love you, Hina. I'll take care of you, "he promised a bigger hug.

Hina tried not to care about promises. What to expect from a child who should be looked after by an adult like him?

Even so, Hina returned Yuki's embrace while trying to calm her down. Yuki was probably still shocked by Shun's harsh treatment earlier, he thought.

"I'll take care of you too, Yuki."
