11. Mutually Guard

Shun was still sitting with such deep contemplation in front of the window. He looked at the darkness around his house at night. Amidst the daydream, his eyes caught the figure of Hina walking out of the house accompanied by the light from the torch.

"Stupid human!" decih Shun looked at Hina's departure before she finally turned to take the coat to wear and left.

Meanwhile, Hina continued to move her legs up the road into the forest. He tries to find Yuki who disappeared out of nowhere after hearing an unpleasant conversation at the door.

"Stupid me" thought Hina. He should not have a serious conversation with that topic in front of Yuki's room who could hear anything with his strength.

"YUKI, WHERE ARE YOU? LET'S GO HOME!" hina shouted breaking the silence of the night in the forest.

Hina was silent, circulating her gaze around fearfully as she realized she had gotten more into the forest.

"For Yuki!" determination Hina. "I must find him immediately!"

Hina returned to the streets with many large trees. He continued to call out Yuki's name with a restless feeling mixed with uneasiness.

Krakk!

The sound of a twig being stepped on made Hina turn around miserably. He pointed the torch forward to illuminate the darkness and ascertain the source of the sound just now.

"Yu-Yuki?" call Hina getting nervous.

Before long, the sound of footsteps around him grew even more audible there were even some shadows passing around the tree. Hina turned the body to and fro with the fire in the torch as a weapon.

A wolf?

Hina slowly retreated as a wolf approached her slowly with sharp eyes about to pounce.

It turns out that not only one, but there are two others who are now besieging Hina on various sides. One of them growled while getting ready to attack.

"YU-YUKI'S? MASTER SHUN? HELP-HELP ME!" hina panicked.

Hina was forced to hit the wolf that jumped at her using a torch until it was thrown. Hina's body fell down, sitting on the ground with a feeling of fear.

His wrist began to bleed due to a scratch. Hina only realized that until she covered it with her next hand again. Hina revolted when another wolf started to target the arm part even nearly tore her shirt off.

The dorrr! The dorrr! The dorrr!

Three shots were fired, hitting the three wolves until now running away from there. Hina gasped for pain in her bleeding arm and wrist while looking at Shun who was still standing looking at the wound.

"You're bleeding" Shun said, muttering.

Hina grimaces trying to stop the bleeding so she doesn't make Shun suck it back up like he did in the kitchen. But as if hypnotized, Shun instead stepped closer to Hina with teeth that began to frown and a great thirst. The sweet scent of Hina's blood was oozing out in her nose until Shun several times gulped.

Before Shun's outstretched hand held Hina's arm, suddenly something so fast came that it even caused Shun's body to crash far away until his back hit the tree hard.

Hina saw Yuki helping her sit up straight. The boy looked at Hina for a moment before taking Hina's injured wrist to get to his lips.

"I'm sorry, Hina," he said, then sucked blood from the wound.

Ringisan pain is created. Hina who was still shocked, was now unconscious. But before falling, Yuki managed to make his body mature. Her adult-sized hand now managed to catch Hina's body, even carrying it easily.

"You always make trouble" growled Shun walked over.

"What's the deal with you? You shouldn't care if I make trouble or not, because you never considered me your son" Yuki replied.

Shun smiled faintly seeing Yuki carrying Hina. "You're not letting me suck his blood. But look at this. You want to enjoy it yourself?"

"Find another bad man, as you always do. I won't let you touch Hina. He's a good man."

Shun held up the weapon he had used to shoot the wolf. His snout was directed at Hina's head.

"Vampires suck human blood, regardless of whether humans are good or bad. You shouldn't forget who you are, too, like that" Shun said.

"Yuki...?" lirih Hina quietly with consciousness remaining.

This makes Yuki stop the debate with his father. He chose to dart away first bringing Hina to leave Shun.

A small groan came out of Hina's mouth before opening her eyes slowly. The familiar ceiling of her room made Hina think that she had returned home.

"Hina, are you conscious?" asked Yuki who was sitting on the bed next to Hina.

"Yuki?" Hina grimaced slightly as she moved her injured hand and left arm despite being bandaged.

"I'm afraid" Yuki said, hugging Hina who was still lying down.

"Yu-Yuki, I just saw you become an adult" Hina said carefully.

"I'm sorry, Hina. I sucked your blood a little bit because I wanted to take you out of the woods. If I were still in this little form, I wouldn't be able to carry you all the way here" I Yuki receded.

Hina looked at the sad face of the child. It was not easy for Yuki to accept the words of her father who was so cold to her, even openly indifferent and did not consider her a child.

"Oh, yes. Where's Mr Shun? She helped me-"

"You're still sick. Stay lying here. I'll take care of you, "prevent Yuki while laying down beside Hina.

Silence is created. Hina turned to Yuki who was already sound asleep and innocent beside her. He did not expect that this little boy could become such a grown man when changed only after drinking human blood.

But that should not be allowed. Hina does not want Yuki to have to take human casualties continuously just to become an adult and freely guard her.

Both of Hina's eyes were closed. Not long after, it opened again. Hina observed that her wound was gone, and not even beside her was Yuki.

"I didn't expect you to get this close to the boy" Shun said, walking out of a dark corner of the room.

Hina realized that she was in a dreamland. He was wary, afraid that Shun would target him again in a dream.

"While you look at it like an innocent child, you should know that the child holds a great power that can harm anyone including yourself" Shun continued.

"Why do you hate Yuki so much?" ask the curious Hina.

Shun was speechless, replying to Hina's serious, inquisitive gaze with her answer.

"He killed the woman I love so much" Shun replied calmly. "Is that enough to let you know how much I hate him?"

"What is Yuki's wish? To kill the woman you love?" reply Hina. She recalled the time Yuki said that her mother had died after giving birth to her.

"I don't need a strong kid who can make me look weak. I need a woman who makes me strong. That's why I only need my wife, not her," Shun said, bowing half his body until his face came close enough to Hina's.

"Is your curiosity answered?" ask her in a low tone.

"Do you blame Yuki because your wife prefers to give birth to him?"

The question made Shun flinch for a moment before finally straightening up.

"You quickly understand as well," he murmured in praise of Hina.

"Didn't you understand your wife's feelings?" hina asked inexhaustibly. "She chose to give birth to Yuki because she loved her so much and entrusted you to take care of her. Love is about trust. When your wife entrusts Yuki to you, then Yuki is a form of love from her. Don't you understand that?"

Hina immediately opened both her eyes. He realized that his dream was over. Yuki who is still asleep.

"The guy just ran away in the middle of the chatter!" decih Hina refers to Shun.
