04. The Kid's a Vampire

It was late at night, but Hina still could not make her eyes closed to sleep. He moved restlessly on the bed before finally getting up to sit down just contemplating.

"Yuki's weird, her father is weird too" Hina thought. She stared around trying not to say anything in her heart if it was true that Yuki was able to hear all that.

In the middle of his mind, there was the sound of the front door opening. Someone came into the house. Hina started to climb on the floor without wearing any pedestal while slipping out of the room. He wanted to make sure that the voice that appeared was not from the thief or other criminals who entered the house.

"What are you doing there?"

The question made Hina surprised instead of playing. His body crouched near the guardrail began to rise, facing Shun who had appeared out of nowhere.

"Mmh, I just want to make sure you're home" she replied glancing the other way.

"You decided to stay here?" ask Shun to make sure.

"Yes. I have to spend a lot of money if I go back and forth from here" he replied.

"Good."

Hina glanced towards the door of Yuki's slightly open room. He suspects that Shun has come to Yuki's room (?).

"Then go back to sleep" Shun said before turning to go to his room at the very end.

"Master Shun!" call Hina, make Shun stop his long legs from stepping.

"Why? You need anything?"

"Mmh..." Hina felt hesitant to talk about the thing that kept bothering her mind from earlier. "I was playing with Yuki in the woods. At that time, I accidentally made Yuki fall from a tree. He said it's okay. Maybe you can check that she's being honest with her situation?"

"Not to think about. He'll be fine," he replied instead looking indifferent. "Your job is just to keep her company."

"But I still feel that-"

"Some don't think about it," Shun sliced off with a cold, firm glance of his blue eyes, enough to make Hina frozen in place.

"Go back to your room to rest. You still have to work tomorrow."

"B-well," Hina stammered back and let Shun into her room.

The next day, Hina did not find Shun at home. Maybe the man was in his room because Hina couldn't be sure by going in there.

Hina decided to make breakfast with ingredients that are available quite a lot and complete in the kitchen.

"Aww!" ringis Hina while cutting a carrot and her index finger accidentally sliced a knife. Blood also came out from there which made Hina take the initiative to suck it up.

But before that happened, Shun suddenly stood behind. He took Hina's hand that had slightly touched his lips to suck the wound.

Hina's pupils widened while looking back with a slight look as Shun sucked the blood on her finger just like that.

Hina's face was hot and red. He did not expect Shun would do that especially the position of the two of them was also quite close.

"Tu-Master Shun?" call Hina until the eyes of the two now meet.

Shun realized the look on the woman's face which was currently confused and embarrassed. He also removed Hina's index finger from her mouth and then held it gently.

"You're bleeding" he said.

Hina lowered her head, holding the pounding on the chest as she felt her back coming into contact with the chest of Shun's field that was still standing so close behind.

"Hina?"

The call made Hina take her hand off from Shun and then move away.

"A-ah, you... Are you awake?" tanya Hina reviewed a stiff smile. He glanced at Shun who was walking away just like that, passing through Yuki as if the boy was not there.

"Why? Are you hurt?"

Hina saw that the wound was now bleeding. "Ah, yes. Just a little sliced."

"Hina, hurry!" call Shun who is running around a tree cheerfully.

Hina walked pensively thinking of the moment when Shun sucked the wound on her finger. That was so thrilling. Feels warm, soft, and pleasant. Especially when the eyes of the two of them met in a short distance, making Hina amazed by the beauty emitted from the man's face.

"Keiji. I have to think about it," the monologue Hina slapped herself to come to her senses.

"Hina," called Yuki who was now standing in front of him. "Are you thinking about Dad?"

"What?" Hina suddenly stuttered as if she was being caught. "Nope-no. L'm... I just..."

"Don't get hurt like that. You woke him up."

What do you mean by 'wake it up', little boy?

But before getting an answer, Hina and Yuki both turned to a voice that appeared and approached towards them.

"What's that... " Hina squinted her eyes to clarify her vision ahead. "...the forest pig?!"

Hina panic. He turned around to run, but there was a loud voice coming from behind him. Yuki suddenly did not exist, nor did the boar.

"Yuki?" call Hina to start worrying. "YUKI, WHERE ARE YOU?"

Hina ran past some trees while continuing to call out to Yuki. He could not help his panic until several times he did not care about his body which continued to fall tripping over the roots of the trees.

Shortly after, Hina heard a strange sound. He walked over to see what was behind the front tree.

"Yu-Yuki?" Hina's legs suddenly limp until they fall down. Both eyes were rounded, staring horror at Yuki who was sucking the boar earlier.

Noticing Hina's arrival made Yuki raise her head. He wiped his blood-filled mouth with his wrist so that his clothes would be stained.

"Hina, I'm thirsty" he said, then he sucked the boar again greedily.

Hina covered her gaping mouth about to scream so scared of him. But he could not make Yuki later go away.

Quickly, Hina pulled Yuki over and carried her to be taken away from there. Hina runs to get back home before Shun finds them.

After arriving, Hina hurriedly undressed Yuki who was exposed to blood to immediately soak and wash later. He also told Yuki to soak in the bathtub while being cleaned.

"Hina, are you scared?" yuki asked as Hina tried to clear the blood around her lips.

"I'm not going to tell your father. Now we have to clean up all this," Hina said hurriedly and cautiously.

"I thirst. I haven't had a drink since yesterday" Yuki said.

"I'll bring you some water after this. What matters now, is that there should be no bloodstain on you," Hina replied as she continued to rub Yuki's body clean of anything.

"not water. I want blood," I Yuki made Hina's movements stop.

"W-what?"

"I haven't drunk blood since three days ago. Eat it I killed that pig."

Hina sat on the floor with a blank look. His head began to twist his brain, finding out about the child's current state.

"Yuki, are you... You're vampires?" tanya Hina made sure, hoping the answer was no.

"Yes. I love blood, Dad too."

"W-what?" Hina gulped with difficulty as fear began to envelop her.

It was only right this morning that Shun immediately sucked blood from the wound. Hina thought that the man was only helping to treat, it turned out that Hina had almost run out of blood if Yuki did not come.

"But I don't like human blood. I always drink animal blood. So don't worry. I'm not gonna bite you, Hina."
