"Miss, are you sure you want to come here?" the taxi driver asked, glancing at a woman sitting in the back seat through a small mirror in front of her.
"I'm sure" replied a woman named Yamanaka Hina. He took his eyes off the newspaper he had been watching to make sure of something.
"Is it far away?"
The driver looked ahead. "Ah, it seems to have arrived. There's a gate in front of there."
When viewed, there is a large gate that makes them painstakingly open it before returning to drive by taxi.
Hina looked around, where some trees on the side of the road were towering as if they were not giving light. But the gloomy road was successfully passed when he approached a fountain in front of the house like a castle.
"I didn't know there was a house this big here" said the driver, looking in awe.
"Miss, do you want me to wait? I can take you back home," he bargained.
"No need, sir. I'm afraid I'm gonna make you wait a long time. Thank you for driving me all the way here." Hina got out of the taxi after paying.
He was still standing on the spot looking at the castle house. His eyes accidentally caught a shadow, feeling someone was watching him from the window upstairs.
The bell was pressed. Hina stood in front of the door while arranging the appearance. He cleared his throat, practiced introducing himself.
Chequek!
Door opens. Hina commented a smile, but no one greeted her. Who opened the door?
"Excuse me?" Hina poked a little head to the door to make sure things were inside. "Is there anyone?"
No one said a single bit. When we enter, only silence is welcomed. Hina's eye beads circulated full of admiration with the classic interior that was there.
"Who?"
The voice made Hina turn to and fro to look for the source. He did not see anyone, until his face looked up a little to find a man in a black shirt slightly open on the chest was standing while slightly supported to the fence that connects with the stairs.
"My name is Yamanaka Hina. I saw the vacancy of this newspaper," he said slightly lifting the newspaper. "Are you Mr Takeda Shunji?"
The man was still speechless, observing Hina from her blue hazel. The intense gaze from the distance managed to make Hina misbehave. He felt that there was nothing wrong with his current appearance, but why did the man continue to research him?
"You really need money?" he asked with a somewhat echoing voice, the result of his heavy voice bouncing in the spacious room around.
"A-ah, yeah."
Shun started walking with his shoes that began to knock on the floor, going down one by one the golden-coloured stairs until finally standing in front of Hina.
"You must need it so much that you're willing to go to this far and far away place."
Hina glanced in the other direction awkwardly. "Yes. Such is. But if the vacancy is closed, maybe I'll leave now."
"There's still. You can start working today," he said, making Hina blink for a while.
"Then... Where's the son, sir? Maybe before I start babysitting, I should... You know that, right? Don't know then no dear. So we have to-"
"He'll be home soon," he'll just walk from there. "Ah, if he comes home, just bathe him."
"Yes?" Hina confusion.
"I'll make you some warm tea. You can wait for him on the couch while resting."
"Bright, sir."
Not far from the house, the driver who was driving Hina still drove her car to the big gate that seemed to be a separation between the part of the house with the others.
Brakk!
The car came to a sudden stop when the driver accidentally hit a child he saw standing in the middle of the road holding a ball.
The driver panicked, afraid to make the child he hit die. Even so, he did not want to be considered a killer because he ran away from responsibility.
"W-what was that? What's... Are there ghosts around here?" monologue's terrified. He hurried to get out of there using his taxi.
A little boy was seen walking away from the back of the car while throwing his ball into the air.
...----------------...
Hina started to open both eyes. He immediately sat up straight after noticing himself falling asleep while waiting. She found Shun sitting on the sofa in front of her while sipping a cup of warm tea.
"Ah, I'm sorry. I overslept. Is it night?" Hina glanced towards the window not far from her view which showed the situation outside was already dark.
"It's good that you're awake. I've been waiting for you" said Shun.
Hina gasped as the man was suddenly in front of her, tilting his head towards the neck as if wanting to bite her.
"AAAARGHHH, NO!!!" hina shouted so loudly.
Breath gasping. He looked around with a cautious attitude. The dream just now felt so real, even the breath of the man when he was about to bite his neck was still felt.
"You had a bad dream?" ask someone from behind who makes Hina rise.
"Geez!" Hina held onto her increasingly thumping chest. The fear, plus now surprised to find a boy in his 6s was there.
"You... Are you the kid who lives here? Where was your father?" Hina looked at the cup of tea that had started to cool already stored on the table. That is, Shun had indeed approached Hina.
"Ah, are you going to be my babysitter?" The boy sat on the sofa leisurely without caring about his dirty body staining the expensive chair.
"What's your name?" her tanyanya blinked innocently looking at Hina.
"Yamanaka Hina."
"My name is Takeda Yuki," Yuki replied, looking over an amused smile. "I've smelled you from a distance."
"What?" Hina inhaled her body with a feeling of shame.
"Come, Hina. I want to take a shower," he took her down from the chair and reached for Nina's hand to take her with him.
"Ah, right." Shun had indeed told her to bathe Yuki if she came.
But where is that guy now?
"My father is gone. He's going home late at night" Yuki said as if hearing a question from Hina's heart.
Hina also waited for Yuki to soak while playing foam in a bathtub. He sat down with anxiety, feeling that his work was strange and obstructive. On the other hand, he was also curious about the house as big as the castle which was only inhabited by two people.
"Yuki, are you just staying with your father here?" ask Hina curiously.
Yuki nodded.
"Then... Mmm, where's your mom? Is she...?"
"My mother died after I came out of her stomach."
"What?" Hina gawked at the relaxed answer from the boy. "I'm sorry for my straight question just now."
"Hina, want to play hide-and-seek with me?" he smiled witfully at Hina.
"Friday?" Hina scratched the small of her head. "Maybe I should go home after this. I can't leave my father. He's alone in the hospital, no one's with him but me."
"You don't have a mother either?" tanya Yuki approached to the side of the bathtub to look at Hina closer.
"Have. It's just my mom went somewhere else." To be more precise, the woman already had another family.
"Is your mother evil?" chirp Yuki leaned her head on the side of the bathtub while throwing a look of pity at Hina.
"No," Hina replied beginning to rise. "It looks like you've been soaking for a long time. Let's get ready before your father comes back."
