VAMPIRE SITTER

VAMPIRE SITTER
05. Trapped Between Two Vampires

Am I just getting out of here?

Hina felt that her life as a human being was now being threatened. Unrelenting anxiety enveloped. He had unconsciously bitten his own nails when he sat full of thoughts on the edge of the bed.

"I have to go," Hina determined, then got up and pulled the suitcase containing her goods that had been returned packed.

Chequek!

Door opens. Hina comes out slowly, trying to make Yuki or Shun not know if she will run away from the house.

"You want to go?" shun asked as he met in the middle of the stairs as Hina struggled to lift her suitcase to get down.

"A-ah, like... Looks like I have to go. You don't have to pay me anymore."

"You want to go walking? There were no vehicles passing around here" Shun said, making Hina walk back and forth slowly up the stairs.

"I-i..."

"Do you know we're not human?" shun asked as Hina sat down on the stairs from suffocation.

"You know we're bloodsucking creatures?" shun continued while clutching Hina's chin to look up at him.

"Don't kill me!" pinta Hina held next to Shun's feet with a pleading gaze. "I still have to live. Don't take my blood. Please let me go."

Shun smiled slightly with his head lowered as if someone was tickling his heart.

"Release you?" Shun let out a small breath. "Have I locked you up all this time? Charming you here?"

No, hell. Anyway Hina only wants to at this time Shun let her go from there even though later Hina will have to walk many kilometers to find a vehicle to get to the city.

"I won't be able to suck your blood now" Shun began to straighten up so that he now loomed in front of Hina.

"Yuki doesn't suck human blood either. So why are you scared?"

Because you're vampires, damn it!

Hina so remembered all the myths about vampires plus all the references to the horror of some of the movies he had seen.

"alright. If you want to go, go ahead."

Shun charged in, giving Hina a wide enough path to go from there. Quickly, Hina pulled back her suitcase. But when he reached the final staircase, Hina's head turned and found Yuki standing on the top step while throwing a very sad look before finally going back to the room.

Hina's feet stepped back, seeing the situation outside was already afternoon. He continued to pull the suitcase without caring for fear when he stayed away from the house. The trees he passed by suddenly gave a dark angle that made Hina lower her head while walking straight at a fast pace.

"Yuki," muttered Hina remembering the sad look of the child as if she did not want Hina to leave. More precisely he was sad because Hina looked scared of him until he decided to leave like this.

"Do I have to go back?" thought Hina looked back and forth while she was still standing in the middle of a road that was so quiet and it was getting dark.

"Ah, fuck. I don't want to die from being bitten by a vampire," she said, dragging a suitcase.

Long walk, Hina started to get tired. He ruffled his waist while normalizing his breath. He realized it was dark, relying only on the moonlight that began to be covered by night clouds.

"Ah, I just die here," said Hina sitting there alone. His eyes were already shining wanting to cry.

"It sucks! I don't want to die. Huwaaaaaaaaa," Hina's whine began to cry loudly in the middle of the night's silence.

"Hina?"

Hina began to raise her face with tears that continued to linger after hearing the call.

"Yuki?"

The boy looked around and ran to pick up a twig that suddenly lit a fire at the end after being touched. The light from the fire illuminated the darkness that had enveloped them.

Hina sobbed looking at that hand. His heart was still doubtful due to the fact that the innocent and cute child in front of him was a blood-sucking vampire. When she returned, Hina felt that she had entered the lion's den.

"I'm not gonna bite you. I promise," said Yuki.

Hina returned the words carefully. He stood up and wiped the tears with one hand.

...----------------...

"Go to your room" Shun told Yuki who was standing not far from Hina.

"I want to be with Hina," replied the boy lowered his head, unwilling to see Shun's sharp gaze which was now pointing straight at her.

"Can't you obey me?"

Yuki clenched her hands to hear Shun's tone which seemed like he would yell at her if there was no Hina there. Forced, Yuki leaves Hina with Shun.

"Drink," said Shun who served a cup of warm tea to the front desk of Hina who was silent full of tension on her return to the house.

"I can only suck human blood when they sleep," I Shun while sitting casually on the chair without caring about Hina's increasingly tense face at the moment.

"So, my dream was yesterday..."

"You're lucky I still let you live" Shun chuckled shortly. "You have a father who has a serious illness. And you need a lot of money for treatment, don't you?"

Hina's fear that had made her tense slowly receded when Shun brought Naoya up.

"Let me remember, what was his name? Hmh... Yamanaka Naoya?"

Hina suddenly got up, took the cup of tea she spilled out just like that to use her cup as a weapon of threat to Shun.

"If you dare touch my father, I will not hesitate to tell the world that you are a vampire! They'll hunt you down" he threatened.

Shun glanced at the spilled tea on the table. It was not Hina's threat that made a small growl emerge from her throat, but rather seeing her homemade tea that was still undrinkable and warm, instead simply thrown away.

"You know? I lied when I said I could only suck human blood in their dreams" said Shun, who got up from his seat. He casually approached Hina who continued to retreat until she sat back down again because the sofa behind blocked her movement.

"When you came here, for the first time, I was tempted by the scent of man. Eat it I came to your dream so I could taste it and suck your blood to the end. But when I felt your blood outside of the dream, it made me realize that I could bite you right now," he said while supporting Hina even as Shun tilted his head to target Hina's neck.

At that time, Shun's body seemed to be pulled by the wind, away from Hina until her body was thrown until it hit the wall quite hard.

Hina glared in shock at the scene. Yuki lowered her hand and stood near Hina with her eyes fixed on Shun trying to stand up.

"Don't touch Hina! I won't let you suck his blood" Yuki threatened with a plea.

Shun smiled cynically tidying up the appearance before finally turning his blue hazel on Yuki.

"Are you deliberately bragging for power in front of me?"

Yuki retreated, trying to protect Hina behind him as Shun came back to approach them with a water that was colder than before.

"You shouldn't underestimate me. You shouldn't be in this world to make me hold more hatred for something."

Hina did not understand what the child and the father were arguing about. But seeing the tension between the two makes Hina choose to be quiet rather than be a victim.

"Your existence here only brings disaster!" shun exclaimed before breezing away from there.

Hina looked at Yuki's back which was beginning to recede, taking away the confidence that had just come out. His head was bowed as if he was crying over something that made his heart feel so sad.

What the hell's going on?

Hina becomes confused, trapped between two vampires that night.
