The Escapades

The Escapades
EPISODE 62

Oberyn let out a cold snort then said, “I just want to know about my mother's truth.”

Hydra gave a slight snort, but then her face calmed down again.

“What do you want to know?”

“Everything,” Oberyn said in a stern voice, making her father's netra rise to stare at her.

Hydra slightly smiled when she heard that tone. His son looked different to his usual days, was it because he had managed to obtain a god-level heirloom or because he had defeated the top ten of the academy and become the first rank?

“Tell me, everyone! All of them! Hear you? Tell me honestly and no one gets covered again!” sue Oberyn as she pulls the chair and drops her weight there.

“Alright, but I hope you didn't become stupid by doing something reckless after knowing it,” Hydra's pint after she put down her pen and closed the book in front of her.

Oberyn simply nodded with a tense face, she knitted her brows and seriously listened to all the explanations from her father. He's ready for anything. Must. He must be ready.

   “What has your brother said?”

“All he knows.” Oberyn grew impatient, when was this old man going to start talking about what he wanted to hear? Always be long-winded!

   “Ya, it is indeed true—”

“Wait a minute.” Oberyn interrupted and raised her hand.

“You must have known about the attack on the skull island the other day, right?”

Hydra nodded. Oberyn then continued, “Then, do you know who their leader is? The person whose face is broken it.”

Hydra was silent for a while, but from her enlarged pupils, Oberyn knew that Hydra must have known something.

“His name is Aaron, he is one of my classmates. At that time he should be the next head of the academy, but after our teacher who was the head of the academy at that time found out that Aaron was cooperating with a heretical sect and cooperating with demons, Aaron was finally expelled,” Hydra explained.

“Why would he do such a stupid thing? It should just sit well and wait for the day on which he will be appointed the next head of the academy.”

Hydra swallowed her smile as she heard Oberyn's chattering.

“That's because he thought it wouldn't be enough to just rely on himself, back then there were countless disciples from the academy's extremely talented head. He thought he would lose competitiveness if he only relied on his strength alone.”

   “So she took a shortcut.”

“True, apart from allying with the demon race he also used them to kill all the academy head disciples back then. Unfortunately he lost against me.”

Oberyn sneered mockingly upon hearing him, she knew how powerful her father was.

“So about his words back then ..”

“That's right,” I'm Hydra. He hooked his fingers on the table while staring at Oberyn.

“You are my only real treasure.” Oberyn was a little taken aback, she didn't think Hydra would admit it.

“In addition to my promise to your mother, you are the last thing she left before she left,” Hydra said again with a tired sigh.

   “And about the poison?”

Hydra shook her head and Oberyn instantly became furious upon seeing that.

“You can't cover it anymore! Not this time,” said Obeyrn warning him by pointing a finger in front of Hydra's face.

“After two years of your mother's departure, it was revealed that in fact it was poison.”

   “For that?”

“Do not interrupt!” Hydra glared at him and Obeyrn throbbed.

Hydra explained. “It was done by your own mother's best friend who had been deceived by Aaron, they were both a couple so the girl did not refuse a request for help from her lover even though it meant having to kill her own best friend.”

Oberyn clenched her fists angrily, Hydra again continued, “And with the abundance of evidence back then, the academy chief sentenced her to death. After Aaron received news of his woman's death, he came to the academy and challenged me. The head of the academy at that time asked me to capture him alive, but after being exposed to the flames from the nine-headed dragon form he managed to escape.”

“But why did he suddenly come again?”

“For revenge, what else? But I didn't expect that he managed to live after my last attack back then.”

Oberyn narrowed her eyes, Hydra also narrowed her eyes as their eyes met.

“Where did he know that the last test would be on the island of skulls? This doesn't make sense, except if ..”

Hydra leaned her back while continuing to look at Oberyn, then she smiled. “You're very mature now, I think I can take a break from my duties.”

Oberyn sontar. What say? Quit his duties? Does this mean that Hydra will hand over the position of head of the academy to him?

Oberyn quickly shook her head and threw away those thoughts, it was too ridiculous. He had no interest at all in such troublesome things.

“Do not think of the impossible, if you want to pass it on then give it to the first brother, then,” said Oberyn shook her head as if Hydra had done a very inappropriate thing and now she was advising him.

“No one said I would give this position to you,” Hydra explained.

Oberyn's face immediately turned red from embarrassment. He felt his face become hot and the entire room became hot like the sun had just come down.

In a fit of annoyance, he stood up and walked out of the academy head's room. Oberyn patted her cheeks slowly and went straight from there, while Hydra laughed out loud at that.

Hydra was still sitting in place and heaved a sigh of relief. Finally, after many years the burden on his shoulders had slightly diminished, the misunderstanding between him and his son also seemed to have vanished even though it was not so obvious.

Hydra only hopes that her three children can become great people who walk the path of good. Forever.

Meanwhile, Oberyn went to the restaurant to clear her mind. There were too many surprises that he had received lately, despite some good things happening, he still felt so depressed that he felt almost crazy.

And here he was, in the peach diner, on the second floor and sitting at the table by the window__although all the tables there were close to the window because along the wall they were lined with rectangular windows with carvings.

   “Hoho, see who this is?”

Oberyn looked up and found Diego with some of his other friends.

Diego pulled one of the chairs and directly sat on it without any shame, Oberyn only smiled amusedly as she recalled when she was left in the middle of her battle with the dragon monster back then.

“Hey, where have you been? Since two days ago not visible?”

“True, are you tired of the girls here? If so, I can take you to another better restaurant.”

“With many girls of course,” says Diego again.

"Don't tell me that you don't want to be friends with us anymore after you become the number one student in the academy."
