The Escapades

The Escapades
Episode 12's

Plaque!

The sound of the slap was very crisp.

Oberyn Chigo held onto her left cheek which was now imprinted with five bright red fingers, she looked at her older sister.

“Shut your mouth if you don't want to die,” said a cold Shinrain Chigo exuding a powerful killing aura.

Oberyn bowed her head and the look on her face was grim. He smiled coldly as he looked at Shinrain.

“Why? You want to kill me? Come kill me! Kill me!” loud shouting. He smiled with disdain.

The woman's emotions were almost at the end of the line. He advanced towards Oberyn with light steps and released his aura which suppressed the room.

Oberyn was still standing on the spot, her hands were now smoldering with embers.

Each of them then darted out quickly by aiming a fist towards the opponent.

A loud bang was heard all the way to the village under the foot of the mountain.

One attack brought down Riander's room building and turned the ground into a huge basin of dust before it was lost to the wind.

The two young boy's fists had each been restrained by Hydra. Shinrain quickly pulled his fist and knelt down with his head lowered while Oberyn stared at the old man before him with a sharp gaze.

Not that he didn't want to pull his hand, but his fists were still held back by Hydra and he was unable to break free.

“What the fuck is this old man! He was on purpose huh?” insinuations

Hydra glanced at Oberyn with the corner of her eyes, while Oberyn quickly threw away her now reddened face in anger and embarrassment.

“Have stopped, let me think about this matter,” said the head of the academy.

Oberyn hid her trembling hands behind her back as the grip of Hydra loosened.

News of the search team's failure in the demon land led by the academy's adopted son, Riander Chigo, spread like a burning firecracker.

Everyone in the academy talked about this news, even to the village under Priem mountain and its surroundings.

Riander Chigo was in the top 10 of all the students in the academy, also already entering the realm of the level 4 swordsman element. That's a pretty big achievement at a very young age.

  Riander Chigo Room

Riander lay on his bed, his gaze blankly piercing through the sky.

His mind kept muttering.

“I failed,” “aku failed”, “Riander has failed!”

Someone knocked on the door before it opened. That's Shinrain, his sister.

In his hands was a handsome tray full of food and a glass of water.

He sat down without speaking and only looked at the Riander who covered his entire body with a blanket.

It was as if he was hiding from something, and was very afraid to appear.

Shinrain Chigo exhaled heavily and then walked towards the exit.

He paused for a moment and glanced using his eyes.

“Eat it, it's not easy to make it you know.” After that he disappeared along with the sound of the door being closed.

Riander sat down and stared at the door of his room, there was a light coming through the gap under the door, the only light that illuminated the room.

His panda-like eyes indicate that he has not slept in a long time, his body is now also increasingly thin and pale.

It had been two weeks since he had returned to the academy and had also confined himself in his room. The wound had also been quite improved even though it had not fully healed.

There was a flash of light in Riander's eyes, and his gaze became sharper than before.

He quickly changed his clothes and grabbed the long sword that was displayed on the wall then jumped through the window of his room.

Before leaving, Riander glanced at the food on the table and remembered the words of her brother. His gaze became even sharper then he disappeared in the darkness

...

Meanwhile at the eastern gate of the Upper Cloud Academy

“There's a report?”

The smell of wine filled the room. Paul sat in his chair and his condition looked very bad.

He hasn't fully realized from the rest of last night's hangover.

“Lapor, Chairman. Riander Chigo has returned to the Academy.”

Paul slammed his hand and the table in front of him to pieces.

“Then where is my son?” His eyes sparkled brightly.

But the person before him remained silent, his eyes lowered. His feelings began to stir again and he sat back in his chair.

“Say clearly, Tora.” Said demanding.

The man in front of him knelt down on one leg. The eyes behind the mask were expressionless and cold.

“Riander Chigo is back but not with his team, the mission has failed. He returned with severe injuries all over the body.”

The voice was very flat but filled with deep respect.

Paul doesn't talk much anymore. He waved his hand and Tora immediately disappeared from sight.

It was a Demon Land, it was very natural for someone to die there. But he never expected the failure of a search team that was even led by a genius like Riander. His gaze became empty.
