Missing In The Heart

Missing In The Heart
Chapters 18.Excuse me....

The phone connection from Rey's phone lying on the table from earlier is still ongoing.

Someone who was far at the end of the connection was still waiting impatiently, many times his voice was heard from the blemish of the phone audio speaker hole berating Rey's name but no one was poking her, no one, until it pissed him off half to death.

"Hello, sorry boss!! It was from among the boss's mistresses first." Rey immediately picked up her phone shortly after her departure of the two women.

"What's wrong with Rachel?" Mahavir asked impatiently demanding an explanation from Rey.

She had only heard their conversation from beginning to end vaguely.

"He's looking for Dirman! Looks like your wife found out about 10 years ago through her friends. He came with Raya, you remember?"

"Raya??"

"Diraya Sabila, whose face was strange. Rachel's best friend who used to sit with her." Rey explained. But Mahavir sounded still remembering.

"That used to reject me because I was familiar with you." Rey was upset, trying to clarify.

"Hmm, yes I remember her!!...Then??"

"It looks like Raya was your key witness, that night it turned out Raya saw you at the hotel and she assured Rachel that you were innocent."

"Then how did Rachel respond?"

"It seems he still can't believe it, so he wants to meet Dirman in person."

"Then what did you say?"

"Well, I'm just saying that wherever he looks, he won't see Dirman again."

"CHUCK REY!!!!" Mahavir's shout made Rey's eardrum buzz.

"Did I say the wrong thing again?"

"It's the same if you say Dirman is dead, Bohhh!!

Rey was stunned, only to realize her carelessness. The two women looked very shocked.

Rey banged her own head after hearing a frustrated scream from her best friend. Then the phone connection was cut off.

Due to Rey's carelessness, Mahavir's plans fall apart. If until Rachel considers Dirman dead, it is the same as making her unable to reveal her true identity, maybe even will foster new hatred and misunderstandings to Rachel.

After exiting the Hotel Calister, Rachel drove off aimlessly. He still looks shocked. Raya catches up to her behind becoming worried fear lest something unexpected happen to her.

The car that Rachel drove continued to drive around the corners of the city, breaking through the streets that afternoon until it ended at a beach on the outskirts of the city. The Kingdom that was still loyal and managed to catch up to him was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Rachel got out of her car and walked over to the beach. Plunge his body over the sand. He tried to calm his shocked mind by looking at the sea view.

Raya walked slowly to Rachel, then sat down beside her. He knows that his best friend needs peace.

They were silent to each other, only the sound of the murmuring of the ocean waves could be heard breaking the silence between them. The two pairs of eyes looked forward to witness the beautiful panorama as the sun descended into the contest and disappeared.

The rays of light from the Moon have replaced the position of the sun. The stars began to flicker and emit light.

Raya grabs the back of her best friend, then embraces her.

"It's dark, your family must be looking for you." Said Raya patting Rachel on the shoulder.

Rachel glanced at her phone, there had been 85 missed calls from Bryan all day.

"You're right, they've been looking for me."

"Thank you for accompanying me. You are my best friend." Said Rachel made Raya moved. 10 years old did not meet each other but nothing changed from their friendship.

Their vehicles are back on. She still follows her best friend to her home. After making sure Rachel had actually entered his yard, he went back to running his Mini Cooper to the clinic where he practiced the night.

Rachel dragged her feet into the mansion where she lived. His feet were heavy to step on. Until now he still could not believe what he heard today, the information he received was very inversely proportional to what he felt and saw at the time of the incident.

Indeed, at that time his family repeatedly told him but his stubbornness and hatred that had ingrained made him not want to hear various reasons.

"Have I been wrong all this time??"

Rachel still needs clarity. He quickened his pace going inside looking for the whereabouts of his daddy.

"Where's daddy?" Rachel asked Mrs Amitha who was spraying Orchids on her back.

Ms. Amitha turned and looked at Rachel then shook her head.

"Where have you been, your sister's been looking for you everywhere." Mrs Amitha then took her phone and called Bryan's phone.

"Your brother's home." Mrs Amitha said briefly to the person on the phone.

"Your Daddy's in the reading room, what's up, baby? How lethargic is that?" Mrs Amitha asked watching Rachel's face flexed uninspired.

"I want to talk to daddy first." Rachel turned around and walked towards the reading room leaving Ny Amitha who was still staring at her.

Geck.. Geck... Geck..

Rachel knocked on the door of the reading room, then slowly opened it.

"Dad...." Rachel stepped in and then closed the door again

"Hmm?" Sahut Pak Wijaya, his views seriously focused on the journal book he read.

Rachel positioned her body to sit in the chair in front of Pak Wijaya's desk. He noticed the activity of his daddy who was now dealing with him.

Mr. Wijaya raised his head at a glance, looked at Rachel who was still silencing her mouth and then bowed back.

"What's up?" Ask Mr. Wijaya because Rachel just fell silent earlier.

"I.... Ask me something...!"

"Ask what?" Said Mr. Wijaya without seeing Rachel's face, his gaze was still down to read the book he was holding.

Mr. Wijaya only raised both eyebrows.

"What is Dirman....." Rachel's question stopped. She stared doubtfully at her daddy's face.

Hearing Rachel mention the name Dirman suddenly made Pak Wijaya stunned for a moment. Can't believe Rachel finally wants to discuss the incident again. The journal book he had read was immediately closed and put it on the bookshelf beside his desk.

Mr. Wijaya looked at his daughter's face which looked like I was not excited.

"What do you want to know, son?"

"On that... Is Dirman really not the culprit?"

Pak Wijaya took a deep breath then showed his unfortunate expression to his Princess.

"What kind of answer are you looking for?"

Rachel lowered her head, "Is it really Dirman who saved me back then?"

Mr. Wijaya took off his glasses slowly then rubbed his face.

"Daddy explained it to you many times, but you didn't want to listen to it."

"Daddy knew I was still in shock."

"Yes, daddy understands. That's why all of us in this house have never discussed it again. Therefore you also decided to move to London and settle in your Grandma's house!"

"So I really misunderstood Darmin?"

Mr. Wijaya nodded slowly. "Why did you suddenly talk about it?"

"My friend Raya saw Darmin that night."

"So you hear your friend's explanation better than your own daddy?"

"Not so, I know daddy loved Dirman so much as his own son, even I felt daddy loved him more than me. I assume daddy will defend her as desperately as when Darmin humiliated me in the middle of the school field."

"Rachel... Your jealousy makes your heart go blind, daddy won't defend it if he's guilty."

"But daddy paid more attention to her than me."

"Rachel, do you still not know this daddy of yours? Daddy noticed everything according to the portion of each. At that time you spend more time with your friends, you do not lack anything, everything you can achieve easily. While Dirman is a child who has no one, no one is willing to accept him. He's a very clever and polite boy so daddy's heart is moved to take care of him."

Rachel was speechless, she realized the beginning of her hatred for Dirman was only out of jealousy.

"If it was Dirman who saved me why is it so different from what my eyes saw back then?"

"Rachel, you were under the influence of drugs, maybe your vision became faint. Or your memories are spilling over each other. Moreover, you are suddenly panicked and hysterical."

"Why can daddy be so sure?"

"Rachel, that night Daddy got a call from Dirman, saying that he heard a friend talk, that one of the kids at his new school was mean to you. Daddy told Dirman that you were okay and were at the school Promnight. But he's still worried and catches up with you to the hotel. While at the hotel he again contacted daddy by phone receptionist and told daddy that you disappeared. Daddy went straight to look for you, but on the road daddy got word that you had been taken to the hospital. A witness said that the perpetrator escaped after smashing Dirman in the head with iron."

Rachel smothered her own mouth. His pupils widened so surprised.

"What about Dirman then?" Rachel asked with trembling lips.

Mr. Wijaya fell silent, he could not remember the situation of Dirman who was badly injured that night.

Rachel noticed her daddy face and caught the deep sadness in the look in her eyes. There was a deep feeling of guilt suddenly flooding into his heart.

"Daddy how's Dirman doing after that?"

"He's okay, right?"

"Daddy knows where he is now?"

The consecutive question was thrown by Rachel to her daddy.

Mr. Wijaya was still silent, once again he took a deep breath and threw it away slowly. He saw there were strokes of regret on his daughter's face. Never did he think that Rachel herself came and asked him for an explanation, Want it feels like she told everything but she already involved Mahavir, the present Dirman with a new figure.

Pak Wijaya did not want to precede Mahavir to tell his story. She also felt it was not her time for Rachel to know the real identity of her husband.

"Just know that Dirman saved you. That's all! Let time answer your questions."

Hearing her daddy's words Rachel deduced her own thoughts.

"So right Dirman is gone, he sacrificed his life to save me?" Inner Rachel.

Her daddy's words were like a slap in her face.

"I'm tired, ...I'm gonna take a break. Thank you dad......" Rachel stammered, trying to hold something churning in her chest.

After exiting the reading room, Rachel ran straight to her room, locked the door and slammed her body into the bed.

Ms. Amitha who saw her daughter's grief was unceasingly knocking on the door asked Rachel to open it. But her daughter did not care at all.

Rachel pressed her chest tight, banging it so that the turbulent heat could stop. But instead of stopping it is getting worse.

Her crying broke. Ten years he harbored his anger and hatred towards the wrong people. Jealousy and revenge blinded his heart.

The longer his cries got broken, something heavy suffocated in his esophagus, making it difficult to breathe.

"I'm sorry about me......." She was on the sidelines of her crying.

Finally all his hatred was gone into deep regret.

All night Rachel shut herself up, curled up under her blanket. Falling asleep while hugging her knees tightly.
