Missing In The Heart
Chapters 124. Picking Up Misses.

A middle-aged couple walked on and on through the hospital Corridor. Their faces were covered in panic and worry. The 21-hour flight from Jakarta to New York, and once arrived at Jhon F airport. Kennedy, both of them immediately went to the hospital in the Manhattan area.

After getting news about their favorite daughter, the second also the two immediately booked a ticket and flew after to New York.

"Uncle, aunt..." Rey who was sitting in the waiting chair in front of the Nurse Station table immediately stood up as soon as she saw the two old men.

"How's Rachel doing, son?"

"Thank God he's okay. The content is fine too."

Ms. Amitha immediately heaved a sigh of relief by touching her chest. "Thank you, Rey. Fortunately you came here."

"Everything is a coincidence, aunt. I didn't think Rachel was here either."

Ms. Amitha nodded her head in understanding and rubbed Rey's back.

"Where is he now?" Ask Mr. Wijaya.

"Yesterday Rachel was transferred to the treatment room. Let me take uncle and aunt there."

Mr. Wijaya and Mrs Amitha nodded and followed Rey's steps towards the treatment room located in the super VVIP area.

Mr. Wijaya and Mrs Amitha furrowed their brows at the group of bodyguards standing firmly in front of the door.

"Son Rey, they....?" Amitha half whispered to Rey.

"Is Vir inside too?" Ask Mr. Wijaya immediately interrupted his wife's words.

Rey rubbed his nape, confused about where to tell. "Uncle and Aunt go in first." He said, passing through the guard line that guards then grabbed the door handle and opened it.

As soon as the door of the room was open, neither Mr. Wijaya nor Mrs Amitha entered directly. Both of them were suddenly stunned at the doorstep to see the figure of Mr. James sitting on a chair beside his daughter's gurney.

Mr. Wijaya's hand clenched firmly and immediately swung his long steps into the room approaching Mr. James' position.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY DAUGHTER!" with emotion Mr. Wijaya pulled the collar of the business suit, until the old man was pulled up and stood up forcibly. The stick leaning between his thighs immediately fell to the floor.

All the eyes in the room were rounded and gasped at the enormous anger he had just seen from the figure of the famous old man.

Hearing the commotion, several bodyguards outside the room immediately rushed in.

"It's okay. I'm fine." Mr. James raised his hand and shook it. Ask the bodyguard to back off and not interfere.

"Daddy!" Rachel and Mrs Amitha simultaneously call Mr. Wijaya. Ms. Amitha ran over quickly to pull her husband. "Calm down. Don't use your emotions." Her words pulled her husband's hand from the collar of his suit.

Rey herself immediately stood by Mr. James' side and helped refute the Old's body which had little difficulty supporting his body.

Mr. Wijaya's jaw was still throbbing withstanding anger, but eventually relented and withdrew his hand after pushing the rough body of Mr. James.

"Daddy! What's daddy doing?" Rachel was about to get off the bed but Ms. Amitha held her back.

"Not what son. I'm fine." Mr. James calmed Rachel down and looked back at Mr. Wijaya.

"Sorry, Langdon." Said Mr. James while tidying his suit. "I admit that I am guilty. I'm sorry." He denigrates his ego.

"You're outrageous James. So outrageous. I know my daughter is guilty. I'm also sorry for what my daughter did to your son. But you shouldn't interfere between them. Forcing to separate those who love each other."

"Langdon, try to understand my position as well. Which father could have seen his son suffer just because of a woman. Almost died because of it. As a parent I just want the best for my son."

Mr. Wijaya rubbed his face rough. "Then what are you here for? Are you not satisfied that you intimidated my daughter? You've got your son, so let go of my daughter. Don't nuisance him. I know you've been secretly watching him and interfering with his work. I'm still quiet about it. But if you intend to harm her, I can no longer remain silent."

"Daddy, Daddy Vir isn't like that." Rachel tried to mediate.

"Silent Rachel. Let daddy talk to her."

"Langdon, I'm really sorry. I understand you're upset with me. I am outrageous. Now I'm sorry. I won't interfere with their relationship anymore."

"Are you like this because you already know about my daughter's pregnancy, right?"

Mr. James nodded slowly. "I'm really sorry. I didn't know it was gonna be like this."

"Then where did you hide your son?"

"I'm not hiding it. He is still in intensive care. His condition is getting worse. That's why I sent him to Toronto where the world's best bone surgery center is."

"Geez!" Mrs Amitha closed her mouth, surprised to hear Mahavir's condition.

"You're not fooling us, are you?" Ask Mr. Wijaya skeptically.

"I cannot dare lie to my own son."

Mr. Wijaya tightened his teeth. Silently for a moment looked at Rachel's entire situation. "You better get out of here now. Don't show your face before you bring Vir to us." He turned him over to one of the hospital's biggest donors.

"Daddy!" Shouted Rachel not take it. "Dad Vir is sorry. He promised me. Why is daddy still like that?"

"It's for your own good, baby. We don't know what exactly this businessman is planning. He could've tricked us just to take your son later."

"LANGDON! DO YOU THINK I'M THAT KIND OF PERSON?" Shouted Mr. James. His heavy voice filled the room. His hands were shaking holding his heart.

"PLEASES....PLEASE....." Rachel screeched accompanied by a sobbing. "Don't be like this. It's all because of me. Because of my mistake. I'm sorry to you guys. Daddy, Dad, I beg you not to be like this. I don't want to see any more commotion. I just want Vir back. That's it."

Everyone immediately fell silent.

Silent.

Only Rachel's sobs could be heard filling the silence.

Mr. Wijaya took a deep breath and went to the side of Rachel's gurney and pulled her daughter into his arms. "I'm sorry daddy, son. Daddy was carried away by that emotion."

Rey helped pick up Mr. James' wand that had fallen off and handed it to his president.

"Alright, Son. I promised I'd bring Vir to you when he recovered. Until then I won't visit you."

"No Dad. Don't be like this. I can't wait much longer. Take me there. Take me to meet him. I beg Dad."

"Rachel, remember the child in your womb. Prioritize their safety first. You've had a miscarriage. That's very risky."

"I'm sure they'll be fine daddy. New York and Toronto are pretty close. The trip from here to Canada is just over an hour away. It was faster than I had to go back to London. Please allow me. I beg you."

Mr. Wijaya and Mr. James looked at each other for a while, then together heaved a heavy sigh.

"All right, son." Said Mr. Wijaya relented.

"But you need to get enough rest and check everything with the doctor first. If the doctor says you're safe, then I'll take you on Dad's private jet." Mr. James spoke brokenly.

Rachel can't do anything and can't push herself either. Although his longing for Mahavir more and more days piled up to overflow in his heart cavity, but Rachel tried to dampen it. He no longer wants to be selfish and selfish. It was enough for her to hear the news about the development of her husband's condition from day to day through the information received by Mr. James from the doctor who handled Mahavir. Rachel deliberately asked Mr. James not to tell Mahavir himself, so that the man could focus on his health.

Up to a month later it was fast. The best Obgyn doctors in New York City examined her well and said Rachel was strong enough to make the trip.

As promised, Mr. James kept his promise. Setting up her private jet to take Rachel to see her son.

"What, are you ready?" Tanya Mr. James stepped with his wand to approach Rachel who had already sat in the airport lounge. Sitting flanked by Pak Wijaya and Ny. Amitha's. While Rey sat opposite him, still faithfully with them.

Rachel nodded quickly. "Very ready. I've been waiting for this for a long time." Enthusiasticity says.

"Are you sure you don't want us to go there?" Mrs Amitha asked withstanding her tears.

Rachel just nodded and hugged her mommy alternately with her daddy.

"Greet Vir." Rey said after Rachel took off her embrace from her parents.

"Surely." He said while wiping the clear circle that fell from the corner of his eye. "Thank you Rey, for your help." He hugged Rey, but the man quickly dodged. Rachel glanced at Mr. James and reviewed his smile.

"I'm not afraid of her, but I hold my wife's mandate not to be close to any woman." Whisper Rey near Rachel.

"Hmm" Mr. James cleared his throat until Rey returned to keep her distance from Rachel.

"No need to be confused. You guys I've been thinking of as my own brothers." Rey finally said.

"We're going to split up here. James, I have my daughter and our future grandchild with you. Take care of them beyond your own life." Said Mr. Wijaya patted his best friend's shoulder.

"definitely. You just calm down. There's an heir of my descent in there, I'll definitely take good care of him." Promise loudly and firmly.

In the lounge, they were divided. Rachel and Mr. James stepped to the right onto the runway of a private plane. While Mr. Wijaya, Mrs Amitha and Rey walked to the left wing of the building to the departure path of commercial aircraft.

A pair of sunken eyes looked glazed far out the window. Looking blankly at the cloudy and a little cloudy weather out there. Sitting weakly on a wheelchair with no passion for life.

His state was quite chaotic, his body was getting thinner with a face that was also thin. Dark circles were clearly visible under both eyes, and fine hairs had filled part of his face. He no longer cares about his own situation.

A thick sheet of blankets suddenly wrapped around his body from behind. Making her flinch slightly, taking a quick glance at the beautiful woman who patiently took care of herself then turned her gaze back to look ahead.

"It's cold here, Vir. The window is closed, okay?"

The man's head shook slowly. "Don't, just leave it like that." He nodded with a weak and trembling voice.

Hanna crouched down in front of him, putting her hands with her radius over Mahavir's. A gentle swab of the right hand that is diagnosed has been paralyzed.

"But your hands are already so cold."

The man's eyes glanced at his hand which he could not move. "Please let go of your hand."

"Vir...."

"Hanna, please. Don't touch me."

Hanna immediately pulled out her hand. Then fix a knit blanket on Mahavir's body to cover the entire body of the man.

"You haven't eaten anything since this morning. We'll eat first, okay?"

Mahavir. Just staring blankly at the wind that blows strong enough that the branches of the tree rub against each other.

Hanna put her hand on the wheelchair's handle, preparing to push it.

"Who asked you to push me?" He rebuked with a cold tone of voice. Making Hanna instantly undo her intentions. Return to Mahavir's side and crouch beside his wheelchair.

"Vir, when are you like this?"

Mahavir ignored him.

"Vir, the air is getting colder. If you stay here, you might get sicker, Vir."

"Leave it. Let me freeze to death here."

"Vir....,"

"Leave me alone..."

"But Vir...,"

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!!" her screams snapped at Hanna.

"WHATEVER! I'M TIRED, VIR. IT'S OKAY IF YOU KEEP IGNORING ME, BUT DON'T HURT YOURSELF!!" Hanna yelled back at Mahavir then twisted her body and ran out of the room leaving the stubborn man. Already unable to see it that increasingly looks sad.

Hanna swung her steps sobbing. Feeling crowded to see Mahavir's condition is increasingly concerning. Running down his head while wiping his tears until his eyes caught a shiny pentofel shoe with the end of a stick in front of him. Hanna raised her face and was surprised to see Father Mahavir, and grew even more surprised upon seeing a woman standing behind him.

"Uncle, she...?" Hanna nibbled on her lips. His eyes stared furiously at the beautiful woman, but as soon as the woman stepped forward it revealed her protruding belly. Hanna was immediately dumbfounded with round eyes. "You.....,"

"Sorry, Hanna. Uncle brought him here." Mr. James tried to pull Hanna out of her shock. "It turns out uncle has been misunderstanding all this time."

Hanna's still stunned. Look at Rachel from head to toe. Mr. James seemed to be watching, afraid that Hanna would be disappointed and would be rude to her daughter-in-law. But beyond his expectations. Hanna welcomes Rachel.

Hannah pulled Rachel's hands together and grabbed them. The tears immediately fell.

"Thank you for coming. Hurry up, meet him. I can't see it that way."

"What's wrong with Vir?"

Hanna shook her head, wiping her tears. "Meet her, meet her quickly. She missed you so much...,"

"Where? She where? Where's my vir?"

Hanna was unable to speak, her hands extended pointing to a door at the end of the hallway.

Without saying another word, Rachel immediately swung her feet running towards that door. Ignoring the cry of Mr. James who asked him not to run.

His longing is no longer over. His heart was pounding so fast that it felt almost jump out of his chest cavity.

His steps stopped at the door. Taking a deep, long breath then exhaling slowly along with her hand touching the door handle and turning it around.

'DRIFT...,'

The door opened along with a soft creaking sound. The piercing cold air that was blowing from the direction of the open window in the room instantly grabbed Rachel's entire body. Making Rachel shudder, pecking for a moment with eyes that were immediately fixed at one point.
