Chapter 34's

"So?" Arif slightly lowered his face to see Kana's plain face more clearly. "What's your answer?"

"I'll answer two questions." Kana finally.

"okay." Arif was actually nervous to hear the question which one Kana would choose, but that person still acted cool to look cool in Kana's eyes.

"Question number one. My answer, yes. I don't have the same feeling, Doctor. To me, the Doctor is my employer, nothing more." Can't be more. Kana added to the heart.

"You know what I just said? If I was just clapping my hands, I'd try harder." Arif already wants to jump for joy. But held back with all my might.

"Tau, that's why I chose two questions." replied Kana.

"OKAY. Then?" Arif put on his smile.

"Third question I will answer." Kana deliberately paused her answer.

Arif waited while squeezing his own fingers.

"Yes, I like other people."

That answer was enough to freeze Arif's brain like one eating a barrel of ice cream all at once. Frozen.

"Because of that my heart claps one hand? Because you like other guys?"

Kana nodded. But not looking at Arif's eyes. Kana chose to throw her eyes at the direction of the fence.

"You... You're not lying to me, are you, Kana?" Confidence and the spirit to fight even harder suddenly wavered.

Kana shakes. "Ah, that's it coming." Kana stands. "Wood!" Cana called, rising from her seat. Arif's eyes followed the movements of Kana who walked over to a red-shirted man who had just entered from the direction of the boarding gate. The man called Bayu by Kana turned his head and smiled!

Gee whiz.... Broken already brother's heart, Dek!

From where she sat, Kana saw how Kana and Bayu interacted very closely, then they both approached Arif who was still sitting with a heart and heart that was not okay.

Bayu was seen glancing at Arif for a bit, then looked back at Kana with a confused expression, but only for a moment, because then his friendly smile greeted the sweet smile of Kana that Arif thought that sweet smile was his.

Various questions snatched each other inside Arif's head. Have they been dating? Or is it only Kana who likes the man secretly? Or do they like each other? Since when did Kana know Bayu? What are they talking about? Argha!

Arif stood up as Cana and Bayu approached.

"Hello, Doc, greetings." Bayu extended his hand in a friendly manner. It felt like Arif brushed that hand off to Europe, but it just showed how immature he was to accept reality. So, by trying to expand his heart, Arif forced a smile on his disappointed face and returned Bayu's hand. "I'm Bayu."

"Ariff."

"Well, I think the doctor rushed here until he forgot to open the suit?" tany Bayu with a friendly tone.

Their handshakes were already detached because it was not up to a second.

Arif lowered his head, and closed his eyes, cursing his stupidity and levity once he realized the doctor's suit was still attached to his body.

Arif just smiled while raising his shoulders.

"I say goodbye, Kana" he told Kana.

"Lho, is it okay, Doc? Not talking first, or later come with us, the plan is willing"

Bayu's words immediately stopped as Kana's elbow struck her ribs. While glaring at Kana staring at Bayu, the code that Bayu's invitation is not a wise thing.

Arif is mature enough to see and digest that code. After all, he did not want to be a mosquito repellent.

Arif smiled briefly, but without any more words he stepped out of that boarding area. Trying to make peace with his heart that is still frenzied.

He should have stayed there, asking Bayu and Kana what was their relationship? At least if there is no status yet, Arif can still have a chance, right? Ah, but, the talk has already been said, that he will back off if Kana likes another man.

Kana exhaled her long breath, she was still sitting on the plastic chair even though the sky had turned dark, her head facing up. I don't know if he's been breathing heavily a few tens of times.

"Heh, just daydream." Riska came, with two cups of warm sweet tea, one for her another one deliberately made for Kana who looks upset since this afternoon.

"Well, thank you." Kana received the cup of tea with a smile.

"Si Bayu just told me, this afternoon Mr. Doctor came again, but you even pretended to go with Bayu. Why is that? That's a confused boy."

Kana, again, took a long breath.

Of some boarding neighbors, only Riska is more calm and not too insistent for Kana to accept Arif's heart, she is the most mature in attitude, and becomes a place to confide in Kana. Feels like having a sister while talking to Riska.

Kana also told what happened this afternoon before Bayu, Riska's sister came to bring some of Riska's belongings.

"Okay, wait..wait..." Riska pauses Kana's explanation. "You mean, the Doctor thinks you like Bayu?"

Kana nodded while grimacing.

Riska closed her gaping lips. "But what if for example, the doctor knows the fact that you lied and Bayu is still high school, only his body is bongsor."

"No idea, I've made up my mind, tomorrow I'll stop working with Doctor Arif. I think I'm going back to the village again."

Replace Riska who sighed. "Why is it so hard for you to accept Dr. Arif? You also have a taste for him, he's as sincere as you are. What else are you looking for?"

Kana suddenly shed her tears. "Doctor Arif.he's perfect." he said, wiping away the tears.

Riska could only look at him sympathetically.

"Because of that, because he's too perfect, I'm afraid, I'm afraid he'll regret having chosen me. I'm a poor man, Ka, I don't have anything. I was afraid that I would lose him because of my imperfections. Marrying Doctor Arif was like a dream, I was afraid that one day I would wake up and my dream would be gone."

Kana shakes.

"Because you don't feel confident. You are traumatized by your ex, you may have other experiences of rejection, so now when there is someone better than the person you have hurt, approach you honestly and sincerely, it makes you not confident. You're afraid that one day that person will betray you too because you feel unworthy, feel out of alignment with him." Riska paused for a moment. He returned to sip his tea.

"You know, when you are upset and doubtful, when many words and suggestions come in and even make us more worried, try to be quiet for a moment, listen to your heart. Listen carefully, because the heart won't make you doubt, it makes you sure."

Kana just put on a thin smile.

But not with someone who accidentally stole the two women's conversation. His smile was wide like an ocean.
