Part 44: The Cold 1

Claudia kept her head down and did not dare to look up. Until Egnor called him.

"Claudia, do you know them?" Egnor asked in a gentle tone and tried to make himself believe whatever his wife answered.

Claudia looked up at Egnor. It was then that Richard noticed the face of his ex-wife. Looks fresh and beautiful. His cheeks were somewhat blushing and radiating happiness. His eyes shone expecting something extraordinary when he looked at Egnor. Richard already knew that it turned out that Egnor was the main character in his heart.

"See Mr Richard! This is right, Madame Claudia!!" Kevin said reassuringly. Because this is Claudia.

"Mrs Clau, you remember us, don't you? Look madam, your husband is looking for you!" Kevin still hasn't given up.

"Kevin! My wife. You may be wrong, right what your master said!" Snap Egnor.

Claudia was still silent and her eyes were glazed over. He kept staring at Egnor. He was really scared and confused while he felt the aira of Richard still looking at him. Egnor then looked at Richard.

"Sorry Egnor! Sorry assistant. You know Kevin likes to joke and he's a little hyper when he sees something as charming as your wife." Richard said without taking his eyes off Claudia.

"I mean Kevin might be Claudia Stefanny. Very coincidental. Please forgive. Excuse me." Sela Richard stopped this endless debate. He already knew the end result.

"Master! You don't be like this. We've been looking for her and this is your Madame Claudia. Madam, you also do not pretend not to know this. Look at my lord, he's looking for you, I'm not lying." Decak Kevin tries to hold onto Claudia's arm and points it at his Master.

"KEVIN! STOP IT! Let's go!" Richard snapped at last and pulled Kevin's arm.

"Master! You two why, huh? Are you afraid of Mr Egnor? It's a fact that you were her husband first! You've suffered sir!" Kevin kept sulking.

"Silence Kevin! He's not my Claudia!" Richard continued to strengthen himself.

Egnor then looked back at Claudia who was now down. His hands clasped and Egnor tried to neutralize himself and not directly emotion. His wife must have had her reasons. He held onto Claudia's cold hand.

"Clau's? Is there something you want to talk about?" Ask Egnor in a flat tone. I don't know what he expected. Claudia is either completely honest or otherwise. Because he thinks this is too painful and confusing. Egnor is confused that Claudia can get to know Richard. What did he do until dealing with his junior was.

Claudia shakes. He did not know what to say while he said he was married.

"Have it, don't think about it, let's go inside!" Said Egnor again pulling Claudia's head to his chest, hugging her for a moment and peeping Claudia's head. Claudia felt a sense of calm again surrounding her because Egnor did not force her. This is why Claudia really loves Egnor who is actually a patient man at the height of his anger and his often changing behavior. While Richard? It felt, Claudia did not deserve to love and be loved by a man as good as her.

They had lunch together in the meeting room. There Egnor seemed silent. She thought about all of those events and she felt that Richard was indeed Claudia's ex-husband.

~Argh! Why should Richard? Without Claudia saying it I already know. Seen from the lying eyes of Claudia and her attitude. Yeah, I admit Richard is great. Hem, this is so hard to understand!~ my inner wriggling while slowly gulping wine in my glass.

Egnor glanced at Claudia who kept silent with a flat look. He didn't touch his food. He shook the glass filled with vodka. Low alcoholic beverages. Claudia drank it soon. At first Egnor allowed it for only half a glass. And it's not wine. However, because Egnor also drank his wine so he was not so aware when Claudia asked the waiter again. Claudia held him up again. I don't know what his mind is going to be like. He was afraid to imagine what would happen in the apartment. He was afraid when he said everything was useless. Her husband seems disappointed in her.

Egnor finally realized when Claudia had asked for the white vodka several times. When Claudia was about to take it up again, Egnor was about to take over the vodka but Claudia hit her hand instead. He then took the vodka again. Egnor draws the definitive conclusion Claudia thought about the incident earlier. Yes, Egnor was very sure Richard was her ex-husband.

The lunch is over. Claudia was already resting her head on the table. He's asleep there. Egnor took her and brought her home. He looked at the beautiful face of his wife. If there was something that Claudia could not say, it seemed that this matter was truly not worth saying. Claudia definitely wants a sincerity from her husband. Egnor breathed. He also refused to know the truth even though he still wanted to know. He should know about it from Claudia.

Claudia fell asleep until morning. When he woke up he was still wearing his clothes yesterday. He's realized. He also got out of his sleep and pricked. He's holding his head. Still a little dizzy. She looked to the side there was no husband.

"Sir Egnor? Whahuh? Is he mad at me? Oh God! Why are you so stupid Clau!!!" Grunts Claudia. She then headed to her dresser and reached into her bag to retrieve her phone.

He called Egnor. It's 9 in the morning. She did not even prepare food for her husband.

Egnor and Claudia on the phone

"Yes baby?" Egnor replied there rather quietly.

"Sister? You're where? Why didn't you wake me?"

Piuf! Claudia was a little relieved because it seemed like her husband was not angry because he raised his call and answered her.

"There's a sudden meeting, an important case! Call again, will you?" Answer Egnor.

"Oh so? Okay fine. Good job."

Tut! Call off Egnor. Claudia scrunched her forehead. Something's not right. Egnor wouldn't be like this if he wasn't mad at her. Claudia felt Egnor return cold to her. She had realized since waking up and was still wearing a dress yesterday. Egnor should have replaced him or awakened him. Or the thing Claudia likes, they must have made love. Claudia sighed. Sure. This must be because of yesterday. Egnor did not accept that Richard was her ex-husband.

Claudia sighed. He nodded and tried to calm down. He also cleans himself. He went to the kitchen and prepared food to take to the office. She was not in the law but she felt that there was something different from her husband.

Meanwhile, Egnor was actually lying in his resting place in the office. Grace's permission didn't come so she's free to ask Grace questions. Hem, Egnor was a little disappointed with Claudia for not telling him who her ex-husband was when this was not a problem for her. But he still questions why Richard should. He became afraid when Richard could take it back from him. There was a lot of competition he had with Richard. They are not all seniors and juniors. There were several Egnor courses that Richard also attended and it felt like Richard had always excelled. Richard took his s3 school majoring in law with Egnor.

And one more thing that makes Egnor dislike Richard because Richard's father had berated John for the development project problems that had been taken over by his father. However, Richard's father who owned the best property company felt more deserving of the project. Egnor could not forget it. Egnor is not a very good man. He is a normal human being with emotions. And he's not like his sister. He even hated all the good qualities of his sister.

He is now watching his cell phone. Look at Claudia's picture there. He lied to his wife, but this lie means nothing to his wife. Now he closed his eyes to sleep. He didn't want to think about what he was. This is how he was tormented.

At about 11 Egnor woke up and came out of his resting room and at the same time Claudia came. Egnor surprised. He did not expect that his wife would come with a very sweet dress on her body. Egnor looked at him and smiled faintly and headed to his desk.

"Sister? Aren't you in a meeting? Why did you get out of that room?" Claudia's question approached her husband's desk.

"Yes it's over and I rest my mind before I go back to work." Egnor replied, looking down and checking his phone.

It's strange! That was Claudia's mind. Her husband was not even happy with her presence. He did not kiss her or even just hug her. Claudia scrunched her forehead and put on a sour face.

"Where's Grace?" Claudia tetal asked a stale base because she also did not see Grace's whereabouts.

"Not getting sick." Egnor replied that he was still playing with his phone. Claudia's getting so upset.

"Sister!" Call Claudia finally a bit of a shout and make Egnor look up his head.

"You why? Why are you so quiet about me? You didn't even hug me. You don't like me coming?" Claudia said with a number of questions. Egnor sighed. He then stood up and approached Claudia. He hugged her and stroked her arms. Not long after he pulled himself back.

"Have you? I'm okay. You calm down." Egnor smiled and returned to his stool. Really, it makes no difference. It still feels cold to him.

Claudia sat down at Egnor.

"Sister, are you mad at me for what happened yesterday?" Claudia looked at Egnor.

Egnor shook his head and smiled faintly.

"Yes, then?" Egnor said again raising his eyebrows.

"So, why are you angry?" Investigate Claudia with her clear face.

"I just can't stop thinking that the wonderful Mr. Gabrianne is your ex-husband." Egnor chuckles.

"Sister! The problem isn't that, I didn't do anything with him. You know that my brother sanctifies me. Don't be like this, brother!" Claudia whining.

"I'm fine Clau! So is it true that Richard is your ex-husband?" Egnor assured the truth he wanted Claudia to answer no. But actually.

"Yes!

"Ooh, great! Why don't you like it? Sorry Clau, I'm not sure if you really don't like it. There must be a little feeling for him. So it seems free said only one. Only a fool like me can say that. Haha!" Egnor was now laughing as if insinuating.

He really didn't expect any of this. Why does he always have something in common with that great guy. Egnor admits Richard was great.

Instantly Claudia's heart was like being torn apart. Egnor hesitated at him. Even though she had given everything to her husband, she even preferred him to other men far above her.

"Sister, are you doubting my love?" Claudia said weakly.

"No no! You yourself know how the fame of a very towering Ricardo Gabrianne. A generous and a good motivator. Me what? I'm nothing what Clau is, just a man who has no mother and a father who is just a lowly contractor. As your uncle said. You should have stayed with him Clau." said Egnor, linking his hands and speaking with the origin while raising his eyebrows. He basically insinuated his wife.

Claudia was stunned to hear that. She felt as if Egnor was thinking of her as a woman who was crazy about possessions and material things. He truly loved Egnor. But it's just so scary if Egnor finds out there's a man far above him.

"Sister, why are you saying this?" Claudia said again, becoming more and more helpless.

"Hahaha, it's okay Clau! Don't talk about it, I don't want to fight. I already know you don't want to tell me the truth. You're just looking for safety when I know your heart." Egnor.

"I love you brother." Claudia said with her glass eyes.

"Curtain, yes yes you love me but you are married to another man. Clau doesn't need to be discussed because I don't understand your mind. All right, what did you bring for me?" Egnor no longer knew what his wife meant. He's trying to divert.

"Sister, you're great, you're a good lawyer and your strength in Honolulu is amazing, why do you feel that you're inferior to Richard?" Said Claudia who seemed to feel beneath Richard.

"Enough! I don't want to answer. I'm hungry, do you want me to eat your cooking or not?" Saut Egnor with a sharp look.

Claudia sighed and she fell silent. She relented and immediately opened the food she brought for her husband. But at that moment, Kate came. He pushed into the room.

"Good Day, brother Egnor and eh, what tumben did you come here, Clau? Good afternoon!" Kate said hello.

In a moment, Claudia thought of something like that. Why did Kate say that? He even knows that now he rarely comes here.

"Why Kate? I'm his wife. Why do you know that I rarely come here?" Claudia rubbed her eyes that were about to cry.

"Yes because every time I come here or come with your husband, you don't exist." Answer Kate as she is.

No! Why does it feel like Claudia is so jealous. All this time this woman came here to accompany her husband and she didn't know it

"Sister? Why don't you tell me Kate's always coming?" Claudia asked now looking at her husband.

"Why? Just a matter of work. Geez Clau, I wonder why you're so sensitive like this?" Sela Kate chimed. Claudia turned to Kate. He looked at Kate sharply.

"Kate? What are you gonna do here?" Egnor asked before Claudia said anything like Kate's statement.

"Yes, brother, we have to see Mr. Gonzaga. He was sick and in a coma. This morning he was conscious. And he wants to tell you something. About a government land case on the outskirts of Honolulu. We must hurry, brother. Mr. Gonzaga's guard is very strict!" Answer Kate.

"All right!" Saut Egnor and he stood up. Claudia was confused. Her husband did not defend her like he did in the hospital and she did not eat her food.

"Son Egnor!" Call Claudia when her husband passes her by.

"Say you're hungry? You don't eat first?" Claudia asked again stopping her husband's steps.

"I ate the food Kate brought, she used to bring it for me. We'll see you tonight. Take care of yourself." That was her husband's answer and left her out of the room followed by Kate. This did not fit her shadow and her husband's promise to her that he would always eat her food. Claudia didn't say what the song was. He silently watched Egnor go next to Kate. Her tears have already dripped.
