Part 10: John's Birthday

Claudia gasped to see Egnor open the curtains of her bed. He then turned off his uncle's call and pressed hard to turn off his phone so that his uncle could not contact him. He really didn't want Egnor to know the problem. He wants to approach Egnor with transparency not because Egnor feels sorry for him or people think Claudia used the famous lawyer.

"Why silence?! Who called you?" Tanya Egnor was still at the side of the bed.

"Not who's sister, this is just my uncle asking me how I'm doing." Claudia was holding her cell phone tightly behind her body.

"Then why are you such a scared person?" Egnor started to approach Claudia.

"It's okay, I'm just surprised you've suddenly opened the curtain!" Claudia pointed at Egnor with her hand holding the phone.

Egnor then pulls Claudia and Claudia into his arms.

"Why brother?"

"It's okay I just want to hug you before I get home." Egnor replied and he hugged Claudia very tightly.

Claudia stroked Egnor's chest and felt that Egnor's chest was very field made him want to always hold it.

"I'm home. Take care, tomorrow don't be late!" Said Egnor pulling himself up and holding onto both of Claudia's arms. Claudia nodded and bit her lower lip as she was stunned to see Egnor's face instantly become so dazzling.

"Don't put on a face like that or I'll sleep here!" Said Egnor staring at Claudia sharply.

"By pleasure. Ting!" Claudia was slightly on her tiptoes and whispered a silent word making Egnor's heart goosebumps up to the center of his intimacy.

"Not yet!" Egnor said to himself. He threw Claudia's body out of Claudia's bed curtain and left Claudia's apartment.

Claudia was smiling but also her eyes were glazed. His body and legs felt limp and he fell down beside his bed.

"Haiz, it's a good thing he heard it! He mustn't know about loan sharks, Uncle's debts and.." Claudia's murmur was cut off. Claudia took a deep breath.

"Argh! Why is that person still looking for me?! I've already paid off uncle's gambling debts, but why would he look for me? We are even divorced! Oh God, Mom Dad, until when is this exam?! May God give me someone who can help me, but if that person is Egnor, will he be able to accept me?" Claudia murmured and at last she cried, pouring out all her sorrow and grief.

The afternoon was so hot that Grace continued to roost in the air-conditioned room. The workspace that was with his Master Egnor and Egnor's assistant, Claudia. Frank is also there because he is consulting with Egnor regarding the latest case.

While Claudia prepares to head to the supermarket for her master's pizza order last night.

"Mr Egnor, I'll go prepare your order. What time are you gonna pick it up at my apartment?" Claudia asked Egnor who was talking to Frank. Egnor glanced at Claudia and scrunched his forehead.

"Where are you shopping?" Egnor instead asked Claudia where to shop.

"The supermarket's a T-junction road to the city there, sir." Claudia replied without thinking of anything.

"All right, go there! You just wait in the apartment, I'll pick it up in the afternoon." Egnor.

Claudia bent her face hoping for something.

"Ugh, I thought he'd take me to the supermarket." Claudia murmured softly.

"What's the matter Claudia?" Egnor makes sure when Claudia turns around babbling.

"It's okay! I'm leaving!" Claudia replied, looking back and leaving. While Egnor smiled triumphantly at Claudia who did not know what her heart was.

Claudia then heads to the roadalan with the company driver. He explored the supermarket by picking up the best wheat flour, instant yeast, tomato sauce, eggs, white butter, tomatoes and various pizza toppings. She should dedicate the best to her future in-laws perhaps, Claudia thought smilingly. He remembered that he used to give sponge cakes to Mr. John and Mr. John liked them very much. And Egnor's father once praised him, saying he was very mature and independent, suitable for his son. Hem, Claudia always smiled shyly when remembering the words John, Egnor's father. He indirectly agreed to their relationship.

After everything Claudia bought, she had to go back to the apartment and work on her pizza in order to finish on time. When he got out of the supermarket and was about to call a taxi, a man pulled his plastic groceries. Claudia turned her head and was surprised to find the elderly man who met yesterday at the police station.

"You?!" Claudia looked at Nico. Yeah, that loan shark's name is Nico Sander.

"We meet again. Yeah, if that soul mate isn't going anywhere, Miss Gie." Nico said grinning his smile.

"Don't bother me! I don't have any money!" Said Claudia ketus.

"No problem, I can ask Mr. Jovanca." Mumbled Nico rubbed his chin. He looked at Claudia from top to bottom. His gaze was very sweet and perverted.

"Don't hope!" Decak Claudia and was about to leave Nico but Nico held back his hand.

"Hey! Release!"

"Claudia, it looks like I can give you extra work if Egnor's pay is less."

"Don't be rude! I'm not interested, let go of the saying!!!" Claudia tried to throw Nico's hand but it was so hard. Until he puts one of his luggage to let go of Nico's hand but it's very difficult.

"You came with me and I just let go!" Nico grinned and instantly a pull of Nico's collar from a man came knocking Nico's body down.

"Nobody Egnor?" Call Claudia surprised to see Egnor her heart come to her rescue.

"Who is he?!" Tanya Egnor was still watching Nico who was about to move on.

"She, she, she's gonna harass me sister!" Claudia said before Nico said something like that.

With overflowing emotions, Egnor lashed out his fierce punch at Nico's standing cheek.

"What are you doing with my woman, huh?!" Egnor again attacked Nico by pulling Nico's collar down again.

"He owes me!"

"Lied brother! I don't even know him!" Claudia cleverly chimed in Nico's words quickly.

"Dad, cheap lady, can you lie to this smart lawyer!" Nico throws the blood out of his mouth because of Egnor's blow. However, it was not Egnor's defense that he got for praising the lawyer, Egnor instead added another blow that scared Claudia a little.

"Sister, he is not in his right mind, let's go brother, brother Egnor!!! Come on!!" Claudia pulled Egnor's arm to stop his attack. Egnor finally gave up.

"Once again I see your nostrils bothering him, not just the prison that's your last home, but the cemetery!" Egnor points Nico's pointer and justifies his suit.

"Let's go home!" Get Egnor to hold Claudia's hand.

"Wait brother!" Claudia held back for a moment to pick up her groceries, Egnor deftly helped and headed to his car.

"Heng, just wait for you Claudia, I'll sell you!" Said Nico seeing the departure of Claudia and Egnor.

"Who is he? Tell me quickly and be honest!" Egnor asked with his jawline stiffened. He held the steering wheel tightly and drove his car quickly.

"I don't know brother! Maybe he's the wrong guy!" Defend Claudia very convincingly.

"Next time you have to go with me or Frank or Grace, you can't go alone!" Egnor is protective. Claudia's heart melted. It had been a long time since he had wanted to be noticed like this by Egnor. Although saying it harshly but having the intention of protecting.

"Yes, brother." Answer Claudia slowly.

"You okay?" Egnor asked for a moment.

"No, just calm down." Claudia smiled.

"I'll find out who he is!"

"Don't you!"

"Why? You know something?"

"No, I'm just afraid he's hurting me shut up if you're looking for his year. Please brother I don't want to have enemies. He's right wrong, brother! Please brother, don't you find out?" Claudia said to begging. Egnor is a great man, who can quickly figure out who Nico is and who he is. Destroyed his dignity in front of Egnor.

"All right, calm down." Egnor said, but he still had to find out. It's for the safety of the woman.

Egnor stops his car at the gate of Claudia's apartment.

"I'll pick you up at 6. A simple dinner at my house at 7. You must come! Dress properly and don't forget the delicious pizza." Egnor said before Claudia came down the car.

"Thank you for picking me up!" Add Claudia and get out of the car. Instantly Egnor was flabbergasted of Claudia's adorable treatment.

Claudia chooses the right clothes she uses to meet with Mr. John so that the old man's views are still the same so as to agree that Claudia will be related to Egnor. Claudia chuckles.

Finally she chose a black and white blouse and combined it with a black skirt. He pinched his hair back and made a thin bando.

She combined it with simple makeup to keep it looking natural. He knew that Egnor was not too much of a woman with too much makeup on her face. Claudia looked sweet and charming.

At exactly 6 p.m., Egnor pressed Claudia's apartment bell. Claudia opened it and was surprised that Egnor saw Claudia whose face was like a fairy with a simple but fashionable clothing order.

"Son Egnor, do I look bad?" Claudia's question blew away the flabbergasted Egnor at her.

"No! Have the pizza. I'm afraid of clock traffic." Egnor said and turned to walk first. He gulped down his already restrained saliva looking at the different-looking Claudia.

As soon as possible Claudia took her pizza and locked her apartment before catching up with Egnor.

Arriving at Egnor's house, the housekeeper had finished his work and was about to return home and open Egnor's door.

"Good night, Mr. Egnor. All dinner is available. Sir John is still in the room. And, Miss Viena called earlier to send a parcel to Mr. John. I put it on the dining table as well. Madame Anne will be here any minute with her acquaintances. Excuse me, sir." The assistant reported her work before returning home.

"Yes, thank you, Leah. Heart on the road." Egnor's Message.

"Let's go in!" Take Egnor to Claudia who is still glued in front of Egnor's house. Soon he will meet John. It had been a long time since he had met the middle-aged man.

Egnor tells Claudia to sit at the dinner table first because she will clean herself and change clothes. Shortly after Egnor left Claudia, John came out of the room next to the dining room.

"Excuse me, who are you?" Ask John slowly.

Claudia turned her head and was very moved to see John who was still like before but was a bit wrinkled on his face.

"Mr John, good night. I'm Claudia. Long time no see." Claudia immediately stood up from her dining chair and bowed her body saluting John.

"Seriously? Claudia's? Oh God, long time no see." said Johanes and opened his hands to hug Claudia. Claudia who had thought that John was her father had embraced him for a long time.

"You're still the way you used to be, son. Egnor took you?" John asked after hugging Claudia.

"Yes, sir, I work in his lawyer's office." Claudia answered still holding the old man's arm.

"Oh yeah? Sit down, please sit down. Where the hell have you been? Egnor is looking for you until he's about to die!" John tells Claudia to sit down again. Claudia's heart was slightly jolted at John's words. He did feel guilty for Egnor.

"I live with my uncle and aunt in the Oriental Master. We were right that day." Claudia replied and she bowed her head.

"Have not been sad. Now you're meeting with Egnor again. Worth it, every day at the end of this he came home always with a clean face, not as usual." Johannes chuckles.

"Ah, you could be sir. Maybe his mood is happy." Claudia blushed in embarrassment.

"Yes, because of you. Finally after a long time I could see his shining face." John said again and Egnor soon descended from his room above.

"Dad, happy birthday. I brought you Claudia's pizza. And welcome back to this stubborn woman." Egnor embraces his father from behind but looks his eyes at Claudia.

"Yes we talked. Your aunty's coming soon." Said John again.

"Sorry, Mr. Egnor, Mr. John, where is Mrs Theres?" Claudia did not know.

"Ehem, my mother's dead Clau." Reply Egnor firmly. John looked down slightly and his heart grimaced at Claudia's question.

"Oh my God, I'm sorry Mr. John, I'm sorry brother, I don't know." Claudia closed her mouth.

"It's okay, son." John smiled.

"Good night allaa... I'm sorry I'm late, John's sister, Egnor, and who is this woman beside you, Egnor?" Anne came and greeted with joy, but she was somewhat surprised to see Claudia sitting next to Egnor.

He then held onto Claudia's back and Claudia turned towards Anne.

"Oh My God, Claudia? You you?" Anne seemed very surprised to see Claudia, the woman who always filled her niece's heart.

"Hello Aunty Anne." Claudia's greeting moved again from her dining chair to bow her body to Anne.

Anne was shocked and unwell because she brought a woman of Claudia's age and she was soon in. With a heart-red dress and complete makeup and hair dangling down. That woman is so beautiful and graceful.

"Good night Mr. Jovanca." The woman gave her regards.

"Good night. Anne, who is this?" Ask John.

"This introduces the chapel priest's son down the street, John's sister, Egnor, Claudia. Meet Lisa Cornwel. Lisa is my brother John, and this is my nephew I'm going to introduce you to, Egnor. Egnor come here." Anne introduces Lisa to her sister and Egnor. Instantly Claudia's heart groaned like there was jealousy. He then lowered his head. He felt like he was just a long-time guest not visiting.

However, it seemed like Egnor felt Claudia being knocked out. She kept moving from her seat and shook hands with Lisa as per her aunty's orders.

"Egnor."

"Lisa's." Lisa smiled warmly while Egnor returned to his dining chair.

"And, Claudia? Lisa, this is Claudia Egnor's childhood friend. Claudia, it's Lisa." Anne also introduced Claudia to Lisa. Claudia's heart was slightly amused.

They then ate together after getting to know each other and greeting each other. Egnor sits between Claudia and Lisa. Anne felt bad about bringing Lisa. He thought Egnor was still alone because Egnor didn't tell us anything about Claudia.

The atmosphere of the dinner was a little quiet until John praised the pizza made by Claudia.

"This is the best pizza I've ever had. Where did you learn Claudia?" Ask John.

"My mother Sir."

"Oh Nice's. Give my regards to him, will you? Come on, Anne, Lisa, Egnor try." John offered to the others.

Anne took it and Lisa took it. Lisa also with the initiative took it for Egnor. Claudia who saw him was a bit jealous because she was not the one who first took it for Egnor. He also saw Egnor accepting it with pleasure. He's got a pretty bad mind.

Claudia stroked Egnor's feet with her feet. Egnor felt a bit creepy and gasped for his body. A good lawyer knows who dares to do it.

"What's the matter, Mr Egnor?" Lisa asked who was aware of Egnor's change in position.

"Ehem, it's okay. Thanks for the pizza Lisa?" Egnor smiles at Lisa and turns his head to Claudia after making sure Lisa enjoys her pizza.

Ting! Claudia blinked her eyes at Egnor and bit her lower lip. Egnor just stared intently at Claudia.

~This woman, after all this dinner, I will finish you, Claudia.~ Egnor choked inwardly.
