Night length part 3

Edgar and his group strolled into the darkness of the night on the road north of the slum district, he approached the first surveillance post he intended. He saw the wooden building looked like an abandoned house.

But if he took a good look, there was a small window on the second floor facing the street, although it was faint but he saw that there was a shadow of someone there, if not people who have a vision of jelly while stalking would not realize there are humans who are there.

Edgar heard the sound of the footsteps of horses walking leisurely getting closer past those who were hiding behind the shadow of the building wall.

“What does Ludi mean?”

Edgar asked in a whisper as he looked at the hunter with him, the hunter only replied to nod his head confirming what he had seen the freight-carrying horse that they had said.

Edgar saw the chariot passing before him, he did not see what the chariot was carrying because it was covered in a thick cloth that covered his luggage, but Edgar seemed surprised because he did not smell bad even though he faintly smelled the smell of blood coming from the horse carriage.

‘Where do they take it?’

Silvi asked who touched Edgar speaking in his mind, he looked curious because he felt the exit of the city should be in the south.

‘I do not understand, but it could be that he brought it to the port, either dumped into the sea or they will take it out of the city by ship.’

As the horse-drawn carriage drifted away, it was almost invisible to them, and Edgar felt that they had waited so long before the appointed time.

Edgar nods his head looking at those behind him, as a sign to start a plan, the savvy hunters make their split, to climb up the building across the street.

The hunter who was still with him seemed to be preparing to climb this building towards the roof, but Edgar asked him to stop because this wooden building looked fragile which would cause a sound later.

Edgar told the hunter who made him nod in understanding.

Edgar and 2 mercenaries entered the building through an open window, the three of them were inside the building by walking slowly while making sure there were no people around, the room on the 1st floor looked so quiet that not a single sound they heard, they decided to continue ascending to the 2nd floor.

Edgar peeked out of the stairs and saw a man sitting looking out the window with an expression that looked so bored as he scraped the wooden wall nearby with a knife.

From his place Edgar gave a sign to Silvi who was watching them from outside the window to tell the others to start climbing.

True as Edgar thought, when the hunter climbed, this wooden wall made a sound that made the bandit hear him and turned his back to look at the wall where the sound source appeared.

Edgar swiftly ran towards the bandit who was still unconscious of his presence and quickly made a lockdown move, locking the neck of the bandit with both hands until he fainted, and the mercenaries who followed him inspected the surrounding room that looked safe.

Knowing Edgar directly waved from the window giving a sign to the hunter who was on the roof of the building opposite him to release arrows, shooting bandits who were in post three.

The wave of Edgar's hand was certainly seen by the bandits guarding post 2 who realized that they were attacked but quickly an arrow stuck in the body of the bandit and made it fall.

A stroke of luck and archery skills demonstrated by the hunters on the roof of this building, the two hunters on different roofs gave each other a sign that their arrows had hit the target.

The plan that was so smooth Edgar did, they only felt they had to attack the storage warehouse where the bandit troops were hiding before attacking the headquarters of the bandits.

Just now Edgar and the others seemed to be going towards the barn, and at the same time he saw a shadow of someone running from the south.
