The Im Not Main Character

The forest at night is terrible because there is only moonlight that illuminates it. Not to mention the nocturnal type monsters roamed and hunted their prey.

In the middle of the dark forest a girl was running in a hurry because of the pursuit of a group of Wolfhorn.

They were red-eyed wolf-type monsters and had blackish horns on the forehead. A sharp yellowish fang and flowing saliva as if looking at a delicious meal.

“Sial .. I can't keep going like this!” swearing the woman while panting and continued to run.

The woman began to see the end of the forest. It was the main road, he had managed to find it but it was useless if the Wolfhorns were still chasing him.

Soon he saw a black shadow darting towards him.

He thought that another monster was approaching without him noticing but surprisingly the shadow passed him. He stopped moving and found the masked woman facing the four Wolfhorns who were chasing after him.

With his bare hands he struck Wolfhorn right in his jaw and head. His actions were more than capable of rendering him unconscious.

‘Only with one hand?!’

“You all right?” The light of the moon shone on him, the masked woman who saved him, Alda Carinea.

“Y-yes, thank you for helping me.”

The woman Wolfhorn was chasing had silvery hair, the clothes looked like plain white Japanese kimonos.

Her eyes were as light blue as the sky, although a little short yet she clearly looked charming.

“What do you do in the forest at night like this?”

Arcturus approached her and found the woman looking a little scared.

‘This is it.’

The one who will bring it to the other main protagonists later. Arcturus could hardly help his smile because of this.

“K-we attacked Wolfhorn herd. S-the moment I escaped from his pursuit had unknowingly been separated from the entourage.”

Wolfhorn's herd attacked his entourage. At night like this, predators are actively looking for prey.

Even before building the camp Arcturus was attacked several times. Thanks to Mary's efforts, Alda and some of their guard soldiers managed to overcome it.

“So, huh? Well, I'm sure someone will come looking for you later. Wandering around this night was foolish,” Arcturus turned around indifferently and returned to his tent. “You better rest. Mary, prepare warm food and drink for him.”

“Understanding, Young Master.”

After taking the girl to the camp, Mary gave her a cup of hot chocolate and venison soup that Alda hunted in the evening.

Evelyn had already rested first after dinner. He seemed reluctant to continue seeing Arcturus for a long time.

Again, it was comfort to him.

“T-thank you very much.”

The woman wrapped herself in a blanket and held a cup filled with hot chocolate with both hands.

Arcturus saw it like a child warming himself.

“You are not like ordinary people, what is your name?” arcturus asked before taking a sip of his chocolate.

“M-sorry for not introducing yourself first!” The woman immediately put down her chocolate, knelt down and bowed slightly respectfully. “Include, my name is Tokugawa Yukino. Y-you can call me Yukino.”

It was something familiar. On earth there is a country called Japan, this woman named Yukino uses similar manners to introduce herself.

Alda seemed interested in seeing Yukino's actions, on the other hand Mary might have guessed where this woman came from.

“Yukino? It seems that you are not from the Knight Kingdom. What are people from Tengu Empire doing here?”

The eastern continent had three kingdoms and two empires competing against each other.

In his previous life Arcturus only made lightning visits to the place before the cold war of the Tengu Empire with the Callope Empire broke out.

“K-we were just walking to Knight kingdom to see sunflower.”

Surely as a reader and a person who lived this world twice Arcturus is not easily lied to. He knew the real reason of Yukino's visit.

“So, huh? Well, enjoy your time as best you can while you wait.”

Yukino glanced at Arcturus several times, there seemed to be doubt in his eyes until he finally forced himself.

“Anu, um, I don't know your name yet.”

“Arcturus Religion. You can call me, Arcturus, Arc, or anything convenient.”

“Arcturus Religia-sama.” Yukino uses it that way.

Soon Arcturus could hear the sound of footsteps from a distance. Mary and Alda prepared to fight, as well as the soldiers on guard.

Arcturus just stood still and looked at the place.

“Yukino—sama!”

Four people who had katanas on their waists, clothes that had armor on their chests and other vital parts.

It was something familiar to the people of the earth. They are samurai.

The four samurai found Arcturus and the others. Soon they become alert.

“Do not worry, they help me.” Yukino immediately clarified the situation. “They have helped me.”

The four samurai calmed down, until one of them stepped forward and faced Arcturus before bowing respectfully.

“Sorry for our impoliteness. Please let me thank you all for helping Yukino— the same.”

“Same? San's? I don't understand.” Alda seems confused since.

Arcturus ignored him and smiled small, “No problem. It's dangerous to hang around at night so I suggest you guys rest here. I'll host you.”

The samurai seemed reluctant and hesitant at Arcturus's good offer. Surely they did not know how bad the reputation of Arcturus Religia was, but they were worried about the nobility themselves.

“When I heard you came from Tengu Empire, and about her attitude and manner of speaking, I immediately made sure that Miss Yukino is not an ordinary person.”

Arcturus explains his observation that they may not want to be known to exist so move with small groups.

The samurai and Yukino themselves were just flat without reacting. They did not seem to want Arcturus to read about whether or not it was true.

Even so in the end Yukino had to be the one to decide.

“Then we will receive your hospitality, Arcturus— equals.”

Yukino's group starts building their own tent. Even so there was only one tent for a Yukino. It seems that the samurai did not build a place for them.

Arcturus did not ask much. He knew that the samurai in this world trained very hard. This is what makes them one of the strongest.

‘At least I've made myself known to him. Yukino will later be the one to take me to the other main protagonists.’

Unlike the case with Alda who moves alone so it is easy to carry him, the other main protagonist is not easy to be pulled to his side.

Each of them has an extraordinary background and their unique strengths.

‘Well, than that I need to finish my business at the Banquet of the Month.’

The main goal will not change. The Supper of the Moon would be an important point for faster progress.
