Jomungandr is not the name of the snake that killed Mad Dog or Shin. In the novel it is mentioned that Jomungandr was dead.

There is no mention of the details clearly but Arcturus knew the Serpent had emerged from under a boulder and destroyed the city.

Arcturus beats his heart, if Jomu finds out even something inside the dimensional ring suggests he is old enough.

Not many monsters were over a hundred years old despite having already reached the peak of evolution. There were only a few monsters other than dragons that could transcend a hundred years.

“Hmm, you are definitely not a stupid funny human being. I should be 349 years old and this is the last year of my life.”

Jomu explained that he could only last one more year because the wounds he suffered did not heal even though he had fallen asleep for almost fifty years.
