The Im Not Main Character
Abnormal Body

Arcturus continued his business with Makarov. He finished discussing the Third Eye Ogre, regarding the Quest that he had requested had also been completed. As the one who made the Quest then it was natural for Arcturus to give his payment.

Not only that, Arcturus also bought the Ogre eyes that the adventurers had taken.

There is, however, a use for the third eye of that race. Arcturus got three eyes from a different Ogre.

“In addition to the investigation you requested—” Makarov began speaking in a voice that only Arcturus could hear. “They made a move around the Ghost Mountains.”

Ghost Mountain, one of the forbidden places in this world. It was a place that Alda wanted to go to.

‘What are they doing there? There's no way they know about the Artifacts' existence, right?’

If they knew it, Arcturus would have to leave the Supper of the Moon and head to that place. But it was impossible for them to know this quickly.

“Is there anything else besides that?”

“They seem to carry many slaves up to the coffin.” Makarov looked angry because of that.

Slaves and coffins, only one thing that Arcturus knew. Surely they were trying to build up research on the immortal army.

The Ghost Mountain Range was the best place to hide such secret research.

“So. Thanks for the information, continue your good work.”

Arcturus left the Adventurers Guild.

Makarov watched it in silence. He had been curious since he first met Arcturus Religia.

‘Any that she is not as rumored.’

No one was stupid enough to make ugly rumors to noble families especially the Religians. Therefore the bad news around Arcturus is its validity can be trusted.

But as far as his brief encounter goes, Makarov did not find any rotten garbage like rumors. Even since coming here, Arcturus had not paid any attention to the bar guard women at all.

“U-um, chief, can I b-change clothes?” asked the barmaid lady as her face blushed.

“Ches! It's a nice sight so hold it a little longer, after all I pay you—”

“Pak old pervert!” The barmaid lady unhesitatingly punched Makarov right in the face.

Although Makarov managed to hold it with his palm, but because of that the sudden attack caused his small body to crash.

Makarov slammed onto the floor while sitting cross-legged and thinking.

‘I asked this woman to use clothes with a little material to pull out her rotten nature. However it was strange, this woman was not ugly and her body was nice. Why did the noble said predator not glance at him at all?’

Makarov had no idea what was really going on.

“Even if the rod can no longer stand, no. .. is it possible that the bastard was asexual?”

If true it makes sense, but it is strange that he did not try to find a cure. Thinking about it only made his head even more painful.

***

Arcturus returned to his room. There were two beds, one for her and one round mattress where the crystal egg was placed. He couldn't keep it in the treasure storage because he wanted to do some research on it.

Even so the egg could delay and Arcturus had already prepared a star-shaped magic circle with a triangle in the center. He made it with the blood of an animal he bought on his way home.

Arcturus laid the eyes of Ogre on each side of the triangle.

“Hm? I've never seen a magic circle like this. What do you want to do, Young Master?” asked Mary who was paying attention with interest.

“I learned it from an old book. You'll find out soon enough. Alda, I want you to stand in the middle of that triangle.”

Alda followed Arcturus' instructions curiously. He did not feel any danger so he did not doubt it.

Arcturus immediately took Manastone as big as a fist and pressed it with both hands as he prayed.

The magic circle started to emit a bright light. Soon the Manastone in Arcturus' hand broke because it was used to activate the magic circle.

Since Arcturus did not have a large amount of Mana capacity, he needed Manastone's help to use this magic circle.

“Trace On!”

The reddish light started flowing into Alda's body. Soon the light gathered in Alda's heart and right hand.

“There are two seals on your body. One centered on the heart, it seals very strongly and spreads throughout your body. Then the rest is in your hands.”

Arcturus closed his eyes, “I will release the seal on your hands.”

Soon Arcturus' hands, hugging each other's knuckles as if praying, moved away and turned around before clapping loudly at each other.

The bandages around Alda's arm were shattered into small pieces, leaving Alda's left hand.

“... That's loose. The bandage that I can't even break has come off.” Alda was amazed by the sight.

But Arcturus could not seem pleased at all. It was because he had not expected the seal to be much more complicated than expected.

“Sial, certainly not that easy. It's a failure.” Arcturus clucked in annoyance.

Alda nonchalantly swung his moveable hand regardless of the appearance of his own hand.

“It's success. Earlier my hand could not move at all tap no matter how hard I tried.”

“Your hand ... it looks like it's rotting and cursed,” said Mary who let out a cold sweat on her forehead. “Are you okay with that?”

The skin of his left hand was brownish, his black veins seemed to come out and protrude as if they wanted to explode. In addition, there was a bruised-looking part scattered on his arm.

“It is a two-layer seal. What a truly troublesome seal.”

Although Arcturus had already used Trace On yet it seemed that it was not enough to figure out how to break it completely.

“The first layer is a bandage that prevents your hand from moving at all. With the destruction of it, you will be able to do light things such as eating or peeling.”

But it does not fully provide an advantage. In reality, Alda still can not use his hands. For some reason but the second layer was a truly cruel seal.

“The second seal is a curse that makes you unable to drain power or Mana in large quantities into your left hand. When you do it excessively then it will hurt you a lot.”

Alda looked at his hand, he tried to drain a lot of strength and clenched his fists. In the end some of his veins seemed to rupture and spit out black blood. Alda felt excruciating pain until he groaned a little.

Mary watched him with concern and tried to help find a solution.

“Young Master, if it's true curse then holy water can cure it. Do I need to go to church to get high quality holy water?”

Arcturus wasn't that stupid to miss it. Holy water is the most powerful medicine against curses. It would be very effective for people like Arcturus and Mary if they were cursed.

But the biggest problem here is Alda Carinea who has the curse.

To answer Mary's confusion, Alda immediately revealed the facts.

“What holy water is medicine? If true, it is unfortunate. My body is designed to resist all the most dangerous toxins though, yet it is also the same as all drugs of any kind.”

There will not be a single drug that will be useful if Alda consumes it.

Arcturus therefore considered it a failure because he could not release the curse with Trace On.

Alda's body is very special. There was no poison whatsoever that could kill him from the outside as well as the inside, but it also meant that there would not be any medicine that would be beneficial to him.

Even it was strange because Alda had a cursed seal. Doesn't this woman have high resistance about curses? If so the curse on his hand is an ancient curse.

Thanks to his abnormal body, in the end Holy Water was just plain water if Alda consumed it. It was the same as with potions and others.

‘What is the purpose of the damn dragon? He should have known how troublesome Alda's body was. If this is the case I need to find the Special Porridge!’
