“Gabriel!”
Lizbeth's shout echoed in the large mansion to make all the maids immediately rush to find the whereabouts of their young master even though it would end up in vain because Gabriel would not be easy to find. This is nothing new for those who live in Edward's mansion. Situations like this have become commonplace that will often be heard when Lizbeth can not find the whereabouts of his son.
“Oh My God! what else this time? Could he not fight me for a day?” Omel Lizbeth learns that his beautiful knife is no longer in the place where he used to keep it.
“Edward!”
Again Lisbeth shouted in an annoyed tone calling her husband who seemed to be casually reading the newspaper. The man never forbade Gabriel from doing anything dangerous while still under Edward's watch. While Lizbeth, the mother who still looks beautiful is too worried about what Gabriel will do.
“Let him play. It's a holiday, baby,” replied Edward put his reading glasses then folded back the newspaper he read and put it on the table.
Edward walked over to Lizbeth who was already visibly angry. “You're too worried, dear. He'll be fine.”
“All right you say?” Lizbeth shaking her waist stared at her husband's bitch. “By carrying my knife you said he'd be okay? Oh God! can the men in this house be a little normal?”
Edward just put his shoulders back together no matter what. It's not really hard to find Gabriel's whereabouts right now, but it's not Edward for Lizbeth. The two men have agreed to keep Gabriel's hideout a secret because it would be fatal if Lizbeth knew. The woman could again mess with Gabriel's pleasures with multiple prohibitions. Well, Lizbeth is actually just worried and afraid if Gabriel really has to continue Edward's leadership in the mafia world. Lizbeth is still traumatized by the series of problems he has been facing with Edward. The woman does not want Gabriel to enter a dark abyss with many threats that endanger her life.
“What have you taught him?” Lizbeth took her temple and sat down on the long sofa in their room. “Shooting, knife playing, archery, horse riding, last how to assemble a weapon. Gabriel is quite clever and quick to learn. Maybe next I'll teach him to get to know the poison type, or.”.
“Stop,Edward! Jesus, did you teach him to be a hacker too?” Cut Lizbeth out before a long breath comes out of her mouth. “I think you're missing this time. He can already hack your system,” continued Lizbeth before throwing a small folding knife towards the window glass.
“See, your security alarm is off.”
Edward could not hide his expression this time looking at the broken glass window of their room but there was no sound of any alarm that sounded. The level of security that is so sensitive now seems to not function according to the security protocol that Edward created. The man rushed to open his laptop, turned on the object and directly checked the security system of his mansion. While Lizbeth immediately gave a safe signal to Edward's men who immediately came when they heard the sound of shards from Edward's room.
“How about a handsome mafia lord? Is this time your student good enough to make you tense?” Ejek Lizbeth's.
Edward nodded slowly. “I haven't even taught him anything about this. And not just anyone can open my laptop. Did you forget that the laptop is broken and has not gotten a replacement?”
Lizbeth got up from her seat. “You mean he can manipulate your fingerprints? And break all the safety codes?”
Without Lizbeth guessing Edward even smiled proudly. “He is my son. All right, let's see what he's gonna do. Let's just say it's my first test,” said Edward who began to move his fingers over the keyboard.
“Are you crazy?”
Lizbeth had no idea what Edward was doing. Her husband was proud of something like this, in contrast to him who was increasingly afraid that little Gabriel would lure Edward's enemies to harm him. The ten-year-old only knew weapons in the house, the rest Gabriel never knew how cruel it was out there if it was really about weapons.
Moreover, knowing that Gabriel has been able to become a hacker, for whatever it is very dangerous. At least that's how it's been in Mrs Miller's mind.
“Darling, how did you know Gabriel hacked my security system?” Edward asked a glance at Lizbeth who sighed.
“Because I can enter your weapon room without having to enter any password. I thought Gabriel was there until I looked him up to that place, but he wasn't.”
“Alright, this time we should look for it. I'm afraid he'll blow something up in..”
Edward's words stopped when the sound of an explosion was loud enough to make Lizbeth run out on Edward's tail. The entire mansion was panicking. The maids immediately scattered and Edward's men immediately rushed to find the source of the sound.
“Gabriel!”
Lizbeth hugged tightly the boy who had just blown something up in the backyard of the mansion. Lizbeth's roaring breath with a worried gaze peeked at his son's body from top to bottom.
“You all right, baby? You made mommy a hanger, son.” Edward let out a sigh of relief to see that no one was hurt, at least only the green grass that turned black with a diameter wide enough to be a terrible decoration in front of Edward.
“I just tested what my experiment was working for. And mommy see?” Gabriel developed his smile. “I managed to make quite a big explosion with an object this small.”
Lizbeth blinked his eyes seeing the small chip in Gabriel's palm. “What daddy taught you?” Search Lizbeth.
Gabriel shakes. “I taught myself. Daddy never let me in the basement, so sorry.” Gabriel lowered his head before continuing with his sentence in a smoother voice “I had to mess up the mansion's security system so I could enter the basement to search for my experiment materials.”
Gabriel looked up as he felt a gentle swipe at the tip of his head. He looked at Edward a little scared as his father's blue eyes locked onto their gazes.
“Mommy,” great-grandson Gabriel looked at Lizbeth with his piercing gaze. “You're afraid daddy will punish you?”
Gabriel nodded. “This is the first time I saw daddy looking at me coldly.”
Lizbeth hugged Gabriel for a moment. Calming his beloved son and rubbing Gabriel's head gently. “Be like a man. You must dare to be responsible for all the risks of what you have done. Daddy and mommy love you believe me, daddy won't hurt you.” “Good. I'll be in charge.” Gabriel walks first “but I hope mommy will defend me,” continued Gabriel despite only using but can still be heard by Lizbeth.
The woman caught up with her son who had entered the mansion. In Lizbeth's heart was also a little worried that Edward would do anything unexpected to punish Gabriel, although he had previously been the one who disagreed the most with the way Edward let Gabriel know weapons, he said, but this time it was her maternal instinct that led the way.
“Daddy.”
“Come in,” Edward said from inside his study shortly after hearing a knock on the door and Gabriel's voice asking for permission to enter. “Sit.”
Gabriel sat on the black long sofa and glanced at the Deagle in Edward's hand as well as another weapon on the table that looked new in Gabriel's eyes. Gabriel gulped his saliva as Edward thrust his Desert Eagle at him still with an indecipherable cold expression.
“Shoot apples on the other end with this.”
Gabriel turned to look at one apple on top of a pile of books on a small table. For a moment Gabriel felt strange, this was definitely not a challenge from his father because it could be ascertained Gabriel could aim at the target especially with this close distance.
“Do it now, Gabriel!”
With doubt Gabriel grabbed the Deagle that Edward gave him. And with just one look he could focus his shot and then pull the trigger until he shot a bullet perfectly.
“Still sucked,” Edward's successful taunts made Gabriel frown. It was clear Gabriel's shot was on target. “What's wrong dad?”
“Are you sure that this room is safe to shoot? Are you sure you won't hurt anyone if you pull your trigger here? What if someone suddenly opens the door and comes in the moment you're aiming for the target?”
Gabriel changed pias, he realized that he did not pay attention to the surroundings, and Gabriel only realized that Edward put the apple close to the door. That's right, what Edward said. If someone suddenly opens the door and enters it could be a bullet will hurt him.
“You know your mistake Gabriel?” Ask Edward.
“Yes. I never paid any attention to safety protocols while practicing or running my experiments. I’m sorry dad.”
Edward breathed. “Imagine if when you detonate the chip there is a maid there or even mommy who is busy looking for you..” Edward snared his words “Daddy is proud you can do many things even create new things with your own creativity, but daddy will also be very angry if others are hurt by your carelessness.”
“I'm ready if daddy wants to punish me,” said Gabriel meant it. He realized that his actions could be fatal to others.
Edward put both his hands into his pocket and gestured Gabriel to pick up the weapon that was on the table.
“If in one night you manage to use that weapon I will cancel the punishment for you. But if it doesn't work, get ready for daddy to send to Russia. You know if there's aunty Alexa who'll take my place to take care of you?”
Gabriel nodded quickly. For whatever reason, he is deterred if he has to be with Alexa. The aunt was too crazy, the last time Gabriel was with Alexa was when they visited the grandma Liana in Russia, when Alexa had taught Gabriel how to stab the enemy with just a knife. Not even reluctant Alexa showed her ability to slash the body of her opponent easily. Yes, Gabriel is still sane if he has to learn to be a psychopath like his aunt. At least for Gabriel to see the human body in the stabs was not what he wanted.
“I'll finish daddy's orders well.”
Edward smiled in anguish. He knew very well Gabriel would try not to deal with Alexa. Actually Alexa just wanted to teach Gabriel how to defend himself with a knife as a weapon. But it seemed that the woman had over-indulged her actions to the point of making Gabriel shudder in horror.
“So mommy wouldn't agree if I went to Russia. Last mommy was angry at aunty and daddy for teaching me how to use a knife against the enemy,” Gabriel said with a slight smile seeing Edward speechless.
Gabriel knew that his father would not be able to overcome his mother's anger so quickly let alone dare to send Gabriel to Russia. It's been confirmed Lizbeth will oppose it at any cost and whatever the reason.
“Daddy can handle that. Well, daddy just stayed to say that you get punished during the winter to accompany grandma.”
Gabriel immediately picked up the weapon and snorted in annoyance before walking towards the door. “All right I'm guilty. But daddy should know if I'm not gonna give up!”
After the door closed hard enough to leave Gabriel, Edward could not help but smile. He felt Gabriel had truly inherited Lizbeth's stubbornness.
