The Devil Charming's

The Devil Charming's
Part 42's

Edward's slow steps toward his wife could not bring Lizbeth's anger under control when she saw Liana walking behind her husband. Seen full of anger, disappointed also the longing that emanated clearly in Lizbeth's eyes as he looked at Liana boldly. Edward sighed, feeling that this would be a little more complicated than he had imagined. Edward had explained everything to Lizbeth, but still he felt he had to give Liana time to speak directly to Lizbeth as a mother to his son. Edward knows what it's like to miss a mother and hope to meet her as bitterly as any reality will face.

No sound that tried to break the silence to the silence of Edward with his hand that grabbed Lizbeth's hand to grasp managed to turn Lizbeth's gaze on him. “Didn't you ask me to let you meet him?”

Lizbeth is still silent, it is true that a moment ago he really wanted to see his mother, but after returning to direct contact with Liana, he said, Lizbeth felt her chest tight and was eager to shout out all her anger all along.

While Liana herself tried to calm herself down to not hug her daughter and shed her longing, she said, because he knew if he did then there would only make things worse because Lizbeth still looks not able to memaaThannya.

“I'll leave you both here,” said Edward peeked at the top of his wife's head sitting on a hospital bed.

For a moment Lizbeth held back her husband who was about to come out by pulling Edward's arm and then looked at the man full of anxiety, Lizbeth did not understand why he suddenly worried when Edward said he wanted to leave him alone with his biological mother. Lizbeth was afraid that he would not be able to face this on his own because in fact whatever problems he faced was always Edward beside him.

Edward smiled convincingly and then stroked the hand of his wife who was still in his arm. “He won't hurt you, trust me.”

Edward brought his face closer to Lizbeth's ear then whispered, “Because if he touches you a little bit then I will shoot him in the head.”

Lizbeth snatched not like to hear the cruel sentence of her husband let alone see Edward who instead chuckled lightly.

“You need to talk, I'm at the door so don't worry.” Once again Edward convinced his wife that Lizbeth had let go of her cheque and let Edward go.

Inside the room was now just the two of them, a child and mother who had long been separated and had to face a long misunderstanding just for the sake of their safety. Liana tried to smile and approached Lizbeth so that she could observe how beautiful her daughter was.

“Hai.” Liana's voice sounded trembling as she greeted her son. “I..I just want to say that this mother of yours is very sorry for what has happened, I am sorry for everything, I am sorry for everything, I know that MaaThu will not be able to return what was gone and lost, but at least I want to start over with my remaining family, you and Dmitry, again,” said Liana full of sincerity and sincerity.

Lizbeth smiled wryly at her mother's words. “Starting from the beginning? Why just now? What the hell have you been doing all this time? Guarding the wealth? Do you think all that treasure will make the two children you ignore happy? Do you think the treasure that the bastards obsession with is worth more than the life of your own son?”

Lizbeth looked very emotional at the moment, even her breathing was hunting and several times had to endure the discomfort on her stomach.

“I don't need all those treasures, and as long as you know, for me there is no price that can buy a family let alone with the wealth that you desperately protect all this time!” Lizbeth continued with all her anger.

Liana received everything Lizbeth said. This was indeed his fault, but he did not intend to put wealth first than his own son.

“You won't understand how difficult I was then,” said Liana. “Everything I do is to protect you, and keep what I can look after. It's not just about wealth or possessions, it's more about trust. Your father entrusted this to me because he knew I would not be able to protect you like your father did. I'm not a great woman, son. This mother of yours is just a weak woman who would only be able to cry if she saw the muzzle of the gun pointed at her. But one thing you should know, there is nothing I love more in this world than my family. And I will never betray your father's trust.”

Lizbeth fell silent with tears that began to wet her cheeks. “Not you guys are feeling tormented by all this, but me too. Many years of losing both children who might even remember the face of his mother alone did not. But do you know that I can't forget for a second what you look like? Even I remember how my children's beautiful eyes looked at me for the first time. I am always happy when I remember those wonderful memories and try to get out of the reality I am living in,” Liana said softly without any angry tone there.

Liana's voice is more like a mother who is telling a fairy tale for her child, for a moment Lizbeth can feel something that makes the corner of her heart warm, feel comfortable with the voice and tone of every sentence Liana said.

Liana ventured to embrace Lizbeth who actually did not do any resistance, more precisely Lizbeth just fell silent stiff when he again felt an invisible bond that felt comfortable in him.

“Mother misses you,” Liana hugged her son tightly and stroked Lizbeth's head like a mother. “Mother also loves you, maaThan mother.”

Liana unraveled her embrace and smiled as she shrank her tears. The hand was stretched out to stroke her son's stomach.

“I am waiting for my first grandchild,” Liana said before leaving Lizbeth who began to break with her tears.

Lizbeth sobbed, crying with trembling shoulders, Edward hurriedly approached him, though Edward knew nothing bad was happening between his wife and father-in-law.

Lizbeth, who had all covered her face with both palms, now burst into her husband's arms, seeking comfort and tranquility there.

“What makes you cry? Did he hurt you?” Edward asked, even though he knew the answer.

Lizbeth. “I..I hurt him, I just judge from the side I see and feel without trying to see and feel from a different side.”

Edward smiled and gave a light peck at the head of his wife. “You didn't hurt him, baby. You just talk to each other from the side you feel so far.” What do you feel, Ed?”

Edward raised his eyebrows and looked up at Lizbeth, who looked up at him deeply. “Taste what?” “About..”

Lizbeth suddenly lost his voice to continue the question. While Edward was still waiting for what Lizbeth wanted to ask. “About...your mother,” continued Lizbeth biting her lower lip and softening the sound when saying the word ‘ibu’. Edward was silent for a moment and took his breath. His eyes looked far away at the figure of the mother he had been looking for all this time, which he had longed for but in fact the wingless angel had left him for good.

“I'm happy,” Edward smiled thinly. “Also proud because I was born from the womb of a great woman. Even though I didn't get to see him again at least I knew there was blood in my body that kept flowing giving me life at every beat of my heart.”

Lizbeth never expected Edward would answer like that, the woman thought Edward would vent his grief or even emotions like she remembered this is where Edward suffered the most. Lizbeth realized that she should be thankful that she didn't really lose her parents, and God still allowed her to look at the woman who gave birth to her.

Alexa, who had been sitting restlessly next to Louis since, managed to disturb the calm of Dmitry who was focusing on the tablet in his hand. Dmitry sighed, he knew what caused Alexa to fidget like that. An hour ago, the doctor who treated Lizbeth said that Lizbeth had been allowed to go home because of his improved condition. Of course it is a sign that Edward will also soon return to New York with others including Alexa. Alexa remembered she had to give an answer to Louis about the proposal that Louis had uttered at that time.

Alexa cleared her softly. “Dmitry,” call him.

Dmitry turned his head and raised his eyebrows. “There's something you want to say, miss?”

Alexa rolled her eyes ignoring Louis who pulled the corner of her lips smiling amusedly at Alexa's anxiety since earlier. “When are we going back to New York?”

Dmitry rubbed his chin looking like he was thinking before smiling sweetly at Alexa. “Tomorrow,” the answer is relaxed and refocus on the tablet.

“So fast?! Don't you guys need to solve the company problem first?”

Dmitry pressed his shoulders. “I've done it.” “When?” Ask Alexa quickly.

“What has Dmitry done since then with his tablet if it wasn't about the company?” Said Louis who was immediately given a strange look by Alexa.

“Easy then?”

Louis shook his head slowly and chuckled. “Yes, it's that easy. As easy as we pull the trigger.”

Louis, who sat next to Alexa, brought himself closer and there was no more distance between them. The man deliberately teased Alexa who suddenly returned agitated at this time. “Prepare your answer, dear,” whispered Louis who was still able to be in with by Dmitry because Louis did not really shrink his voice when whispering.

“Should I remind you where we are right now?” Sindir Dmitry without looking at the two people next to him.

They were still in the hospital, sitting on a long bench near Lizbeth's nursery.

Alexa immediately stood up from her seat and was about to step away if she did not see Edward coming out of the room with Lizbeth.

“We return to the hotel,” said Edward without further ado. “And return to New York tomorrow. Is everything done?”

Dmitry who clearly got the question nodded. “Lucky we have a reliable Makarov, he supports our decision to keep making...” Dmitry cleared his throat slowly before continuing his sentence. “Mother as the company's owner here because the ownership file of two companies in New York has changed its name to my name and Lizbeth.”

Edward nodded in understanding while Lizbeth was still digesting the explanatory sentence from Dmitry.

“What does that mean in my name? You don't mean to tell pregnant women to take care of the company, do you?” Lizbeth's tone of protest was clearly heard with an expression of disapproval.

“Of course not,” replied Dmitry quickly. “This is just as a formality of transferring power from the hands of the mother to us. You just relax at home because there is your husband who is ready to take care of everything,” continued Dmitry.

Edward snorted in annoyance and immediately took Lizbeth walking. Before returning to stop his steps and turned to look at Alexa which made everyone stare confused. “What?” Ask Alexa who feels looked at seriously by her brother. “I forgot to tell you if I'm done listing your name as the sole heir of the Jarvis family.”

Everyone was astonished to hear Edward's words especially Alexa who gave her shocked expression.

“Single heir? Whatchu mean? Don't you admit that you're my brother?”

“My heart is too much to meet the needs of life. Besides I've been dizzy to take care of it,” replied Edward in an annoying snobbish tone.

“Easy then?” Dmitry murmured in disbelief. “Kakak!” Alexa gets a silly answer from her sister.

“Do not protest, Lexa.” Edward again invites Lizbeth to walk who can only sigh.

“But...since when did you manage to find out about father's treasure? We have not even found out in detail about it,” said Alexa who walked in Edward's steps beside her. “The information of the fool is too easy for me to find.”

Directly Edward was rewarded a blow by Alexa when calling his father with the title ‘si stupid’. Edward just clucked ignore the annoyance of his sister even ignored the Alexa punch that was quite painful on his stomach.

“You actually listed my name as the sole heir? But why is it like that?” Grousers Alexa.

“Do you doubt my wealth? I told you I don't need that treasure. After all it's only a third of my wealth not including my wife's.”

“Oh, shit!” Maki Alexa who immediately walked first left the others who were laughing amusedly.
