The Devil Charming's

The Devil Charming's
Part 2

The slow road allows Edward to run his car at a fairly high speed, he is currently heading to one of the star hotels to meet someone, someone who says he knows who he is, who his parents are also his origin. Actually Edward did not want to believe this, but a photo of a baby that has a sign like the one he has is in the arms of a woman whose face is not visible makes Edward curious. Of course, not even many knew about a sign that was on Edward's nape and the informer knew about it.

Edward grabs his desert eagle, hiding it behind the navy suit he was wearing before getting out of the car, stepped into the hotel and was immediately greeted by two bodyguards who Edward believed were informants who contacted him. They took Edward into one of the hotel rooms that had been guarded by several men dressed in black, while Edward did not bring anyone, he didn't even tell Victor about this.

Edward raised his eyebrows to see the middle-aged man sitting on the couch enjoying his wine. Edward did not know this person and the atmosphere was still silent at this time, because Edward did not intend to open his voice first. The man put down his wine glass, looking at Edward who was still standing.

“I have to call you who? Edward or Eduardo?”

Edward was quite good at covering up his surprise when he realized the man knew his real name, a name his family knew.

“Ed. You just call me that,” replied Edward calmly. The man nodded and stood up, sighed and put both his hands into his pants pocket.

“I Vladmir Jarvis.” – “You already know who I am, don't you?” “English mafia chief,” replied Edward briefly.

Yes, everyone who is in the world like Edward certainly knows who Vladmir Jarvis is. The head of the British mafia never knew how he looked and this time the man happily showed his face to Edward. Edward was still in a standby position, there was no way a person like Vladmir would show his face without any hidden intentions. But in the first place, Edward never had a problem with the British mafia.

Vladmir smiled faintly. “remember, I won't kill you here. I have a special assignment for you.”

“If you wish I would obey you, you're wrong, Mr. Jarvis. I am not your subordinate,” said Edward coldly with a sharp gaze.

Vladmir chuckles. “Yes, yes, I know, Ed. And that's why I like you. You're brave even in front of a mafia boss like me you can still show fangs. But I suspect you will reject my offer if I have accurate information about your origin.”

Edward had already refrained from taking his desert eagle and pulled the trigger this time as well. Edward was careless if it had to be a lot of stale bases like this.

“What do you want?”

“You. Yeah, you Ed, I can't tell you who you really are right now. You should be able to find out who killed your mother and you'll know everything.”

Edward squinted his eyes. “Then what does this have to do with you?”

“Because they also killed my wife.”

“I never thought, the most feared mob boss in England could not find who killed his own wife and asked me for help.”

Vladmir just stared coldly at Edward who looked unafraid of him at all.

“I can do it, but they've long since disappeared. It's not even known who their descendants are since I managed to destroy them, and the last news I heard was that the killer was still alive.I can only give you a clue, I can only give you a clue, all the descendants of the mafia always have a tattoo of a rose on his body. If you can find one of them, then you will be able to know everything.”

“Why should I?”

“Because I know you have the most power in some territory, and you're also the head of the American mafia, Mr.Ed.”

Edward smiled obliquely, and took out his desert eagle. “You should also know that the mafia chairman will not just obey another mafia chairman.”

Edward pointed his weapon at Vladmir which was immediately retaliated by some of Vladmir's men. Vladmir himself let what Edward did to him, even giving a signal for his men to lower their weapons directed at Edward.

“You will regret ignoring my offer, Mr. Ed. Because I can also easily get the sniper to fire a bullet at the girl's head right now.”

“Shit!!”

Edward dropped his weapon as Vladmir's men showed Nathalie— his adoptive parents exiting an agency building through a laptop screen. This is what Edward feared, if the enemy knew who he was then it would be easy to use the family to threaten him. Vladmir smiled triumphantly at Edward's current angry gaze. “So, how about, Mr.Ed? still want to reject my offer to cooperate?”

“Remind me to stick a knife into your brain after this,” hiss Edward made Vladmir even more chuckle.

“Yes, I'll wait for that moment to arrive. One more thing, maybe you can start your search in Mexico, because—“

“I'm not a fool, Vladmir Jarvis,” cut Edward before leaving the room occupied by Vladmir.

Edward's mind raged fiercely at the moment, Vladmir's offer as well as the old mafia's threat disturbed his calm. Who does not want to know his identity and origin that even given a little way to find out about it, although Edward himself believes this will not be easy. Will Edward follow Vladmir's offer? Of course, because in addition to curiosity, this decision is based on a reason greater than curiosity, namely the safety of his family. For a ruthless mobster, any threat posed will come true.
