Edward folded his hands in front of his chest and looked at Professor Martin in front of him, who several times confirmed the location of his glasses because he was nervous and afraid of the intimidation that Edward did.
“Explain!” Edward's orders were clear and solid.
Professor Martin took a breath and exhaled slowly before beginning to explain from the results of the research he knew.
“This chip contains a toxin that will break when we take it from the body where this chip is implanted, lucky we are superior to them regarding poison and medicine until the poison did not have time to spread because doctor Sam immediately gave anti-poison level A.”
Level A anti-venom is the highest dose of anti-venom that is very rarely used if not in a truly emergency situation. Edward sits on the couch in Professor Martin's study after getting his laptop, he has to find out about this, the DNA of the system, the chips, and the golden rose headquarters that will reveal everything. Although he could have ignored the chip considering his wife and son were fine, but Edward would not miss this golden opportunity which was the way to get all the answers he wanted.
“Sir!”
Edward stopped his nimble finger on the keyboard and stared at one of his bodyguards.
“What's up?”
“Mrs.Estebat is awake, but—”
Without waiting for the bodyguard to continue his words, Edward immediately moved from his seat and half ran to the room where Lizbeth was even the people in the professor's room were surprised to see their boss's behavior was notoriously cruel and cold now it changed drastically about his wife.
Edward immediately entered the large room, staring at many medical teams including doctor Sam was surrounding the bed where Lizbeth was making Edward's heart suddenly beat fast with all the bad feeling began to enter it. “What happened?”
Everyone gave way to Edward to approach Lizbeth who was already conscious and was looking at him in silence. “Sayang. “ Edward grabs Lizbeth's hand and kisses his wife's lips before the unexpected happens, Lizbeth tries to avoid making Edward freeze in his place.
“Who are you?”
BOOOMM immediately Edward's world was crumbling, his chest tight and he did not even recognize Lizbeth in the green eyes of the woman. Edward hardened his jaw still staring fixed Lizbeth who looks not joking.
“What happened, Sam?!” Edward's hiss was still faithfully staring into Lizbeth's green eyes.
Everyone looked at Doctor Sam pity, because it would be very difficult for the doctor to explain the truth to their boss who already looked very angry.
“Mistress lost all her memory, master caused by the system DNA.” Sam replied, the doctor did not dare to look at Edward.
Edward wanted to shoot one by one the heads of the humans in the room to vent his current emotions, but he was still sane enough not to do that. “You forgot me?” Edward whispered to Lizbeth, who was just staring at him.
Lizbeth shook her head slowly. “Sorry, sir, I don't know you.” As in the puncture of thousands of needles, Edward's heart throbbed in pain, the unfamiliar gaze that Lizbeth gave managed to make Edward lower his head holding back something that broke forcefully through the corner of his eye. Without anyone noticing, Edward shrank his tears and looked down at Lizbeth's flat stomach.
“You are even pregnant with our child,” Edward softly in a voice not as loud as usual.
“A-child?”
Lizbeth looks at Sam's doctor and palpates his stomach. “A-are I pregnant? You're a doctor, aren't you? Can you explain? Anyone, I can't possibly be pregnant, I don't even know you guys!!!”
Lizbeth is suddenly hysterical and thrashes and Edward quickly hugs her letting Lizbeth beat her before Sam's doctor injects a sedative that leaves Lizbeth drooping. Edward still did not let go of his embrace, everyone looked at the pitiful and sad couple in front of them. Even Victor, standing by the door, could only look at Edward's other side, including the weak side of the man that Edward had never shown before.
Slowly Edward laid down his wife's body, stroked Lizbeth's cheek gently before landing a kiss on Lizbeth's forehead long enough to walk away from the spacious room followed by Victor behind.
