The Devil Charming's

The Devil Charming's
The Part 36

Lizbeth steps into the unkempt courtyard of the mansion covered by weeds with Edward, Alexa, Louis and Dmitry followed shortly after they left because the man had to finish his office work first. Edward's men had already walked ahead by not lowering their level of alertness.

Edward continued to hold his wife's hand and did not let Lizbeth stay away. The creaking sound of the mansion door that was opened after Alexa gave the key was heard filling the silence of the room they had now entered. The mansion was completely abandoned without moving any items because it still looks expensive furniture that is left dusty and dirty to make Lizbeth had coughed.

“Do you want to wait in the car? Let Alexa take care of you,” Edward said implying deep attention there.

Lizbeth. “No, I'm not that weak just because of the dust. Are you underestimating me?”

Edward sighed, while the others held back a laugh. Lizbeth's sensitive nature triggered by her pregnancy often makes Edward look upset because every sentence Lizbeth spoke to him never made her happy and Edward could do nothing but shut his mouth tightly and controlling emotions.

“Use this.” Dmitry gave Lizbeth a mask and gloves.

“Thank you. I know that brother will be more understanding than my husband who can only underestimate,” said Lizbeth who successfully made Dmitry get a murderous gaze from Edward.

“You think I'm not paying attention?” Edward asked in his regretful tone to Lizbeth who was only raising his shoulders.

Actually, the woman also had a mask that she was wearing in the car, but before leaving Lizbeth took it off and left it in the car because he thought the place would not be this bad with the amount of dust that made his nose itch.

Alexa who saw the small debate could only shake her head and gently embrace her sister-in-law's shoulder. “C’mon! we have to finish this.” immediately

Lizbeth gladly accepts Alexa's invitation, releasing her hand link with Edward without caring that her husband is already very upset.

“Damn!”

Dmitry chuckled softly to see Edward walk first with a swearing that had no effect whatsoever for Lizbeth. “How?” Edward asked Victor who had checked the entire room with his men first.

“Nothing we found or that looked suspicious,” replied Victor.

“We go to the basement,” said Alexa who walked towards the back of the mansion with Lizbeth Followed by the men behind her. Edward swiftly approached his wife and sister as Alexa stopped in front of a place that looked like an old well.

“I think this is the way to the basement.” Said Alexa “You ever entered it?” Ask Louis.

“No, I have only heard Mr. Kostov's explanation that he made his way to the basement behind his mansion.”

Edward gestured for Victor to check on him first. The place covered by dry leaves surrounded by grass makes them a little trouble finding the key because the place is covered by round steel that is impossible to lift manually. Victor, who was helped by his men, pulled over the grass-covered rim until a picture of a rose was seen there.

“Mr.Ed, there are pictures of roses here,” said one of Edward's men.

Edward approached and observed the rose shown by his men and turned to look at Lizbeth.

Edward approached his wife who was standing not far behind him. “It looks like the picture is the same as the rose on your arm.” “Really?” Lizbeth took off her jacket revealing the rose tattoo on her arm clearly because the girl was only wearing a shirt that had quite short sleeves.

Alexa and others are equally convinced that the tattoo is indeed the same as the image in that place.

“Means this is indeed the way to the basement. But how do we open the lid? Do you have the keys, Alexa?”

Alexa shook her head to answer Lizbeth's question. “I only know this and only have the keys to his mansion.” “Looks like Lizbeth can open it,” said Louis who turned out to have been squatting in front of the place somehow since when.

“I? How can?”

Lizbeth looked at Edward who was also staring at him, even everyone was also focusing on Lizbeth.

“Mr Kostov will not give you tattoos and pictures of roses here without a good reason. Even if the reason is just a symbol, I don't think Mr. Kostov is that simple,” Louis explained.

The handsome man's words made Alexa snap a finger. “I see your point, Louis.”

Edward, who had also caught the young man's intention, brought Lizbeth closer and crouched down to follow Dmitry and the others.

“Give your arm right on that picture!” Edward's orders. According to Lizbeth, the woman directed her tattooed arm right at the picture of a rose on the outskirts of the place until a ‘klik’ sound was heard before the cover of the steel shifted by itself.

“What is this kind of retina scan? But in a different object? I mean, is this a skin scan?” Ask Dmitry.

“Yes, but more precisely the one that works here is not Lizbeth leather, but the tattoo, and I'm sure the tattoo is made with special materials or has been in the program since long ago. I don't know, Mr. Kostov is too ingenious.” Answer Louis.

“There is a ladder, you can enter carefully,” said Victor from inside who had entered first.

They entered the room carefully and even Edward seemed to be keeping his wife safe and unharmed.

The stairs continued to lead them to a large place with lights that automatically turned on as they passed through the hall until they reached the front of a large door that was again tightly closed.

“No symbol whatsoever, not even a rose picture here,” Louis said after observing the door with Alexa.

Edward, who was observing the door with Lizbeth, frowned. “Try push only.”

“Not moving,” Alexa said after trying to push that door. Dmitry, who was standing right in front of the door, accidentally put his hand on the door leaf before all gasped for a sound from a computer interrupting to enter a password.

“Log in with the last password.”

Edward quickly typed in some numbers and letters that were the last passwords of the System DNA chip on the button that came out automatically on the door leaf. After that, an image of the eye appears along with a command for a retina scan.

Edward turned to look at Lizbeth and Dmitry alternately. “Scan retina.”

“Retina who?” Ask Lizbeth.

“The last Prince,” Edward replied making everyone surprised then looked at Dmitry who also looked surprised.

“I?”

Edward smiled in a slant and shifted slightly until Dmitry could see the crown symbol next to the eye image on the transparent screen on the door leaf. And it makes Dmitry again surprised, if from the beginning he thought that his family did not leave any symbol on his body, he was wrong. The crown tattoo on her wrist turned out to be a symbol given by her father. Yes, Dmitry has a small crown tattoo on his wrist and does not raise any suspicion because since the beginning it has appeared even can be seen by many people.

Dmitry brought his eyes closer and his retina could be scanned well until the big door was wide open. All still peeking in place and holding their breath saw the number of vaults there that they were sure it was a money depository or, gold?

Slowly everyone entered, observing the large room in amazement, in addition to the safe that was neatly located in place, there were also several large photo frames on display on the wall and looked dusty.

“What is my family?”

“That's our family, Liz,” replied Dmitry who had already grabbed his shoulder from the side and followed the photo bingaki in front of him.

Lizbeth hugged Dmitry tightly after he could no longer hold back his sobs. While Edward approached Alexa who sat down while tightly hugging a shabby blanket that was seen filled with patches of dried blood.

“Mother died here, and this is blood when mother gave birth to me,”, said Alexa Pilu who immediately embraced Edward into the arms.

The man also felt his heart throbbing pain and involuntarily his tears just dripped down. The figure of the mother he had been looking for all this time turned out to have left him since the moment where Edward found Franklyn's daughter on a park bench. A mother who became a hero for four human children who are now crying for their families.

Meanwhile, Louis, Victor as well as the others could only look down at the pitiful sight before him. Two large families who are all very well connected must divorce and attack each other just because one traitor is none other than the mother of Lizbeth and Dmitry.

“How do you know this is the blanket that mom wears?” Ask Edward.

“Mr Kostov told me this, and he didn't have time to clean up anything because his priority was to save me and nurture my mother well. At that time our family still continues to hunt the Kostov family aided by Gustavo.”

Edward stroked Alexa's head, which still hid her face in her brother's chest. The only family left. Lizbeth, who was also crying in Dmitry's arms, regretted the act of betrayal by their mother, also regretted not having seen the face of their real father.

Lucky Edward and Alexa who still had time to see the face of their father—Vladmir Jarvis.

The atmosphere of grief surrounds the basement of the Kostov family, the fateful path that has been written neatly by the scenario maker can not be avoided or rejected. They can only go through the flow, carry out their roles well because a happy ending will surely exist.
