It was a while before Edward was injured.
The atmosphere was still tense between Edward and Gustavo after the old man who was the subject of the problem threw his bullet towards Edward and was grateful that the bullet missed a few centimeters when Edward swiftly kicked the chair in the near it and hit Gustavo's feet.
Edward stiffened his jaw, a sharp glare and glint in his blue eyes signifying how much he had now accumulated his anger. If only he understood it like this then, it was certain that the incident where he managed to capture Gustavo would not have been wasted Edward and would have directly killed the man's life. Gustavo himself felt quite fed up because since then his attacks have always missed. It turns out that Edward can not be underestimated.
Now say! Where did you hide the chip?!” edwad's wrath was countered by Gustavo's sly grin.
“Don't I tell you that I managed to copy the data and move it into my database? You won't get anything else from that chip.”
The tension continued as Edward pulled the trigger, slipping one of his Deagle bullets at Gustavo's feet until a groan of pain was heard after the old man sat on the floor with blood flowing from his legs.
Edward walked closer. His big foot clad in classy shoes lightly stomped on the foot of the cruelly wounded Gustavo. Until the screams of pain came back sounded pleasant to Edward.
“I don't have to ask you again like.”
Edward smiled slantingly, his eyes catching a suspicious wall that Edward believed was the door to Gustavo's secret room.
“All mobsters have a secret room, right? And the space that you hid behind the wall was too easy for me to guess,” he continued, still faithfully stepping on Gustavo's feet ignoring the screams of pain from the man.
“F*ck!! You won't be able to get anything! I've blocked the password!”
“Don't forget if I'm the best hacker,” arrogant Edward makes Gustavo back cuss.
“My hacker's men are no match for you, asshole!! They're the best hackers!”
Edward laughed softly and shook his head. “Indeed. Because they're not worth me. They're just your lackeys and I'm the boss. Of course, I can break their working wings easily.”
“Ah, I was lazy to talk to you for too long.”
Edward pulled his leg, fired another bullet at the side of Gustavo's leg that was still healthy until both legs were really sad.
“I want to hear a backsound of pain from your lips as I work to retrieve the data that was supposed to be mine,”, Edward said as he waltzed off to the wall door and pushed it away.
Sure enough, there is a laptop connected to a chip. It looks like the laptop has just been used because it looks not turned off with some folders still visible on the screen. Edward needs to think a little to be able to open the data and move it back into the chip that is already locked with a password.
Unbeknownst to Edward, Gustavo forced himself to approach, overtaking Edward by rolling on the floor because of his two legs that he could not possibly use to walk. Withstanding the pain and roaring breath, Gustavo closed his eyes for a moment. Refraining from making any noise would make Edward aware of his existence.
Edward is still focused on his work that soon produces good results. The man managed to crack his password, sending the data back inside Gustavo's laptop into the chip and quickly plucking it out until a shot hit his right abdomen after Edward turned around, followed by throwing a knife which unfortunately also hit the target appropriately.
Edward groaned in pain and immediately sat on the floor, leaning himself on a table where he had been working. Edward lowered his head, pulled out the knife stuck in his stomach and threw it in any direction.
Gustavo, who was just as sad as Edward, chuckled along with a breath of gasp to endure the pain in his legs that he forced to move. They both did nothing for a few seconds.
The blood that kept flowing from Edward's stomach made Gustavo sure that Edward would soon lose, Edward would give up on his life because he knew, that the knife that he managed to attach to the next part of the gunshot wound contained poison.
“Surve, you lost Mr.Ed.”
Edward tried to open his eyes which began to blur. Even his ears were buzzing until what Gustavo said he could not hear well. His trembling hands grabbed his beloved Deagle, ignoring Gustavo's unconscious laughter.
Edward directed a shot at her.
“Fuck you, bastard!”
The bullet that managed to penetrate Gustavo's head became the end of the man's laughter and also the end of Edward grasping his weapon. The object fell beside him, but as much as possible Edward still held the chip in his hand. His increasingly dark gaze with breathless breathing made Edward remember his wife. Recalling Lizbeth's beautiful smile, recalling his promise to Lizbeth to return soon.
“I'm definitely back. May God still allow me to see you and our future son,” Edward murmured.
“Mom..” Edward coughed and grimaced at the thought of Alena's face, which would have been a shock to find out her current state, especially if Edward had not survived. He felt his breathing was no longer regular. “I love you guys.”
His eyes slowly closed and resigned if this was God's will, at least he had tried to save his small family, fighting for his wife's life so that there would be no more regrets afterwards.
Sayup Edward heard the clattering of steps approaching and the panicked voice of someone who had become familiar to him for several days. With a strong desire, that hope is again present. The hope of survival and his belief in survival allowed Edward to reopen his eyes until he could see Alexa's beautiful face teardroping to keep him awake.
Edward could only smile, giving the chip to Alexa. “I get the chip.”
Afterwards Edward let his body start to be exposed by Alexa and Luois before his consciousness again disappeared.
