Not Salihah's Wife

Not Salihah's Wife
I Hate Mr. Randy

Randy left Amara's room, after accompanying the woman to dinner and making sure to take vitamins before going to bed. Amara did not say much, instead putting on a pouty face and a manyun lips. However, Randy resigned and patiently faced it.

Whatever Amara responded to, it had to be swallowed whole without protest. Amara went through the past with heavy and heartache, maybe at this time still hurt but not as much as before.

If Aunt Lydia doesn't ask Randy to go back to his own room, maybe Randy will sleep in Amara's room. Although you have to lie on the floor and sofa that does not look comfortable, as long as you can be with Amara.

“Huftt.” Randy lay down, then sighed. He stared at the ceiling of the room where he was.

At least part of his heart was relieved, being able to see and meet Amara again.

“You haven't changed baby, stay beautiful. Especially with your pregnancy, the more beautiful,” muttered Randy.

...***...

This morning there was drama at the Wilaga residence. If yesterday was because Amara was suffering, now Mirna's coming.

“Why can Randy be here and well received?”

“I did not know that the man was her husband Amara,” replied Wilaga. Mirna was silent, she could not blame Wilaga because when Amara married Randy did not involve family, even he was not there. It's only natural that the family doesn't know Randy.

“How about Amara?”

“You don't have to worry, Amara is fine. Yesterday there was a contraction but only a false contraction. Maybe in the mouth of Amara disappointed and drove away her husband but whose heart we know. We should give the couple a chance to choose and determine their future. Do not support by leaning in one direction, let alone to split.” Lydia spoke to Mirna and Wilaga.

“Randy's parents are coming today,” Wilaga said.

“What?”

“It's good, Ma'am. We sit together and talk, I'm with Amara's mother-in-law next door. Let Father overcome that, we simply direct Randy and Amara the best for their wedding.”

Mirna meets Amara in her room, the woman is still asleep. If at home alone, maybe Mirna will be upset because it is noon and Amara is still engrossed with her pillows.

“Honey, you want to sleep until when. Although it must be bed rest, this is not how.”

“But Bun, I can't sleep. Just slept at dawn, five more minutes yes,” muttered Amara then back to sleep.

Mirna relented, probably because of pregnancy and an enlarged stomach so Amara had difficulty sleeping. Randy himself had already left, seemingly meeting his guidance student group.

At about ten, Randy came to see Wilaga and Mirna. Said his parents were close and would be here soon. Wilaga with Mirna and Lidia waiting in the living room, pendopo only used to receive and serve the community.

The family room is quite spacious, must not be as wide as the pendopo. However, the existing items are quite modern although the interior still carries the traditional style. Randy welcomes his parents.

“Whose home?” ask Imelda.

“His grandfather Amara.”

“Hahh, not wrong?” ask Imelda again.

Randy just put his shoulders together, he hasn't asked further the truth about Amara and Mr. Wilaga's relationship but it's none of his business. The goal is for him and Amara to get back together.

Teja, the waiter and confidant Wilaga drove the family to the room where Wilaga was. Greet each other and get acquainted then sit down together.

“Just go ahead, call Amara,” Wilaga said.

“Sorry to interrupt the busyness of Father and Mother, which is obviously this for the good of Amara. If you follow emotions, it feels like I am reluctant to do this,” said Wilaga.

Pram nodded his head, understanding the feelings of the Amara family.

“Looks like I don't know Amara very well,” said Lydia.

Imelda looked surprised, as Lidia explained that her father – Wilaga— was a community figure in the area. Including explaining the good family business, handicrafts, agriculture, cottage industry and tourist facilities that are family-derived businesses.

“Amara grandson of Mr. Wilaga, my nephew. Hearing he wants to stay here, of course we are happy but there is a problem behind him it feels like we will not stay silent.”

Amara came accompanied by Mbok Darmi, he was surprised because there were already two in-laws.

“Amara, Eyang knows you're a good boy. They're still your in-laws,” reprimand Wilaga.

Amara approached Pram and Imelda, kissing the couple's hands.

“Sit here,” said Randy patting the sofa beside him.

Amara wanted to refuse but right now she was in the attention of all eyes. Inevitably, the woman sat beside Randy.

Mirna was happy to see the look on Imelda's tense face, it seemed that the woman was sorry. Regret wasting Amara and it turns out Amara is supported by a family that is not playing games.

“I will not ask Amara to part with her husband, but all the decisions are in the hands of Amara and Randy. It's just that as parents we should support whatever their decision. Those who will undergo a household hickey, but I as an elder in the family do not like if Amara to be wasted, colonized and even ignored.”

Pram finally makes a sound, beginning with his apology and then explains Randy's condition including his marriage to Hana which is over. The man also said that the marriage with Amara had been registered with the state and he knew best how Randy had lost and tried to find his wife.

“From our side also wants the best for them,” said Pram.

“How about you, Mother Imelda?” ask Mirna.

Attention leads to a woman who has been speechless since.

“Although Randy and Amara are back together, I want to be sure that he is indeed accepted by your family,” said Mirna.

“Truely, a lot of marriages fail because the relationship of daughter-in-law and mother-in-law is not good,” said Lydia.

“How are Mr Pram and Ms Imelda?” ask Mirna to make sure that Amara will be completely accepted. When it comes to Randy and Amara's relationship, he is convinced and aware that the couple still loves each other.

Attention is still on Pram and Imelda. The woman finally opened her voice.

“Hm, I will support whoever Randy chooses. For me Randy's happiness, my happiness too,” said Imelda.

“Randy, Amara, what's your decision?” ask Wilaga.

Randy looked at his wife who was staring at the table in front of him. The woman refused to look back at her husband. Randy clasped his wife's shoulder.

“I'm sorry dear, we start again from the beginning yes.”

Amara moved her shoulders as if to say, get rid of your hands. Randy remained patient, even this time he rubbed Amara's head.

“I hate Mr. Randy.”

“Yes, I get it.”

“Pak Randy is evil,” said Amara even his eyes have condensed.

Instead of answering, Randy gradually approached and hugged Amara. Amara's mouth may continue to curse her husband but she did not turn her head in the arms of Randy, instead pouring tears on the chest huggable lecturer and her husband.
