Not Salihah's Wife

Not Salihah's Wife
What Did I Miss?

This morning Randy came to pick up Amara to live in a house that the man had prepared before marriage. Coincidentally today this weekend, Mirna was still at home and was deliberately waiting for the arrival of her daughter-in-law.

“Sit, Mommy wants to talk!”

At the beginning of Amara and Randy's marriage, Mirna believes her son-in-law is a good man and can be trusted to guide and make Amara happy but not for now. The fact that her daughter has honey in marriage is certainly not desirable either by Amara or any woman.

“Entah Mommy must use what sentences and languages again so you understand. Release Amara, your mother does not like Amara and now you my daughter will stay one roof with her husband's young wife.” Mirna sighed after saying the word.

“I'm sorry, this is not in the plan but I'm sure there is a plan and God's intervention behind my marriage with Amara as well as my marriage and Hana.” Randy tried to explain in his opinion.

“But not with ...”

“Munda.” Mirna's speech was interrupted by the call of Amara who had been there since when. “I'm fine.”

“That's in your mouth but not in your heart,” Mirna said.

Amara sat down beside her mother and held Mirna's hands tightly together. “I'm fine Bun, believe me. Even if Mr. Randy and I had to separate, it would have happened if he had said the word talaq to me but not because of my request.”

“There is such a promise. Mother is not sure you will be happy, even if her young wife is good to you not necessarily Your mother-in-law will treat you well too.”

“Mother, I can't promise Amara's heart will stay awake without heartache but I promise Mami won't be much involved in my wedding affairs,” Randy promised Mirna.

“Down listen?” ask Amara. “Sir Randy couldn't possibly let me torment the heart.”

With the debate quite tough finally, Amara and Randy leave Mirna who is still heavy hearted to let her daughter live with her honey.

On the way Amara just kept quiet with a look out the window and Randy focused on the steering wheel. The woman didn't carry much of her gear just moving clothes and other necessities from the apartment previously occupied with Randy.

Amara who realizes she is not yet an adult and has not understood the concept of a household where to share a husband. Maybe in the future he can't afford it or even he'll be out of Randy's life so he has to prepare for the situation.

“Welcome to our home,” said Randy when they arrived. Amara looked at the building in front of her. Two-story residence with a modern design, equipped with a fairly good garden arrangement.

Amara smiled and walked in.

The smile on Amara's face instantly disappeared staring at the woman who greeted him. The woman looks beautiful with her shar'I appearance is different from her who still let her head and hair look.

“Come in,” invite Randy while embracing Amara's shoulder. “There's something we should talk about.”

The three are already in the living room, where Randy sits on a single sofa and Amara and Hana sit side by side on a long sofa. Randy calls the workers in the house and introduces Amara and Hana as his wife. Two housekeepers and a gardener.

“There are a few things we have to agree on together because we live under the same roof. Don't let anything get stuck and end up making problems later on. I'll ask Mami not to interfere too much in this house. Bill problems and home operations let me handle it directly. Home business can be scheduled. Monday to Wednesday Hana schedule, Friday to Sunday owned by Amara. Including I will sleep in your room according to that schedule,” said Randy.

Hana nods her head in a sign that she understands what she is hearing while Amara is silent.

Since then Amara just listened without looking at Randy different from Hana who noticed well what was said by Randy.

You want to sleep with her every night I don't care, inner Amara.

“Amara, do you understand?” Randy felt Amara was just daydreaming and when the man asked Amara was still silent.

“Amara!”

Hana touched the back of Amara's hand, making her wake up and turn her head.

“What's up?”

“You daydreaming?” ask Hana.

“You didn't hear what I said?” ask Randy.

Amara defended herself by saying she was admiring the house.

“So, what have I missed?”
