Randy drives Lidia's car, occasionally looking back through the rear view. Amara's in the passenger cabin with Lydia. Wilaga wanted to go to the hospital but was banned by Lydia. Amara was no longer moaning like that.
I don't know because of what pain is felt, which is definitely not the time to give birth. Moreover, HPL is still a few weeks ahead.
“The hospital is on the right, you turn around first,” said Lydia showed direction to Randy.
The car stopped right in front of the ER, Randy called the health worker who was carrying a wheelchair.
“Let Amara with aunt, you park the car first.”
Randy nodded his head even though he was eager to accompany Amara who had been taken to the ER. The woman was still under observation when Randy came back, even Lidia was waiting in front of the ER.
“Tante does not accompany Amara?”
“Cannot, being checked. Asked to wait outside,” replied Lidia.
If Lidia waited while sitting in a stainless chair, in contrast to Randy who stood occasionally he would walk back and forth relieving his nervousness and worry.
These few months apart from Amara, not even his search was successful. It turns out Amara was left in his father's family. What makes Randy feel guilty is Amara's pregnancy. She was not next to Amara who was undergoing her pregnancy. Not knowing how to crave Amara and troubled when Amara wants something.
A message containing news that he has met Amara, has been sent by Randy on Pram –papinya.
“Randy, sit!” letah Lydia.
“Family Mother Amara,” shouted one of the nurses.
Randy and Lydia move in and ask Amara's condition.
“We see a doctor, later explained how the patient's condition,” said the nurse.
The doctor said there was nothing to worry about. The position of the placenta that previously covered the birth canal has shifted but that does not mean Amara can move and do excessive activity.
“Pain due to fetal pressure and progressively greater development, making muscle work and others increased. Pain can arise because of these two things,” explained the doctor.
“What should my wife do Dok?”
“For while bedrest at home. What to worry about if it has started to come out of the liquid from below, high fever or the mother is unconscious. For now the condition of Amara's mother is still stable, so it is safe to go home.”
Randy breathed a sigh of relief, had thought something happened to Amara or gave birth prematurely.
“I take care of administration first, auntie friend Amara.” Lidia pats Randy on the shoulder as he passes the man to get into the ER to meet Amara.
...***...
“Rest, don't think of anything weird. You don't want your baby born prematurely ‘ right?” ask Lydia.
Amara has returned to Wilaga's home.
“How can I rest if there is Mr. Randy,” complained Amara.
“Talk carefully, don't shy away. A few months aside, Auntie thinks it's enough for you to talk from heart to heart. After all, if Auntie sees she's the one in charge even looks like she's worried about you.”
Amara lay on her bed, her face pouting as she stared at the ceiling of the room. Lydia left the woman to consider the input she had conveyed.
“Talk well? I can't talk to Mr. Randy,” muttered Amara who moved to lie on her side against the door of her room.
While in the family room, Randy was facing Wilaga. The old man sat down cross-legged staring at his son-in-law's granddaughter. It was unthinkable that the man she welcomed well was the man her beloved granddaughter avoided.
“You think you can come back with Amara easily? After what he has been through all this time,” said Wilaga. “Myrna educated and raised Amara alone, not that she wanted Amara to feel the same way. What happened to your marriage not only hurt Amara, but also Mirna and us.”
Randy just silently listened to what Wilaga said to him. His position is wrong and he will not defend himself or need self-defense.
“I will have my parents come, which obviously I would like to be given another chance to live the household with Amara. I am aware of my mistake and will not be confused about it. Please let me meet Amara,” pinta Randy.
“Please if Amara wants to see you, but do not force.”
Randy also resigned, when he was about to go to Amara's room he passed with Lydia.
“Amara is resting, let it go first. The important thing is that the condition of her pregnancy is fine,” said Lidia who subtly forbids Randy from seeing his nephew.
By nightfall, Randy had not been able to see Amara. The woman's room looked deserted there was no movement whatsoever. Since then, Randy waited for the waiter to come in or Amara to come out but nothing.
“Amara why not get out of the room ya?”
The man walked over and over ….
“Mas.”
Randy.
“You met Amara?”
“Iya.”
“Don't first, Eyang will be angry. Amara is still bedrest. I'm Dayu, her son Mother Lyidia.”
“Ah, cousin Amara. I'm Randy.”
Dayu chuckles to make Randy wonder and scrunches his forehead.
“Sorry Mas. I teased Amara yesterday, if there is a KKN lecturer who looks handsome tenan even husband Amara was lost. Taunya Mas is even her husband Amara in fact,” said Dayu.
Randy smiled. His attenuation turned to the door of the room that had been the center of his attention since. The door of the room opened and the angel of his heart appeared. Amara, wearing a knee-length maternity baby doll dress, stood in the middle of the door.
“Dayu, call Mbok Darmi,” said Amara.
“Tuh the person, met aja Mas but if Amara refused don't make a mistake. Any more events, I know you guys actually miss each other.” Dayu leaves Randy looking at Amara.
Amara turned around and stepped in, Randy hurried after her.
“Amara,” call Randy who is already in the middle of the door.
“Not bother, I do not want to meet Mr. Randy,” said Amara.
Randy approached and placed his hands on both of Amara's shoulders.
“Ih, why hold-hold.”
“Sit, I want to help you sit down. It is not good to stand too long with the condition of your stomach like this,” said Randy then invite Amara to sit on the edge of the bed.
Amara guessed that Randy would be sitting next to her, instead squatting in front of her.
“I know I was wrong, I don't deny it but don't throw me out and don't leave again. Give me a chance to fix everything, there's only you Amara just you.”
Unlike Randy who looked at Amara's face but Amara looked the other way. The woman did not want her heart to melt with her husband's face and gaze. Admittedly or not in his heart there was only Randy.
“My parents are already on the way, it's not just me who hopes we get back together. They are also.”
“What? Aunt Imelda want to come here?”
