My eyes were wide, staring at him who was standing at the door. The headless woman was there, standing upright while her right hand was carrying her head and her left hand was shaking her waist.
"Hi-hi-hi, Hanna, I know you're still up. Come on, here help me."
I closed my eyes and prayed as much as I could. I continued to recite the verses of the Qur'an that I remembered. I do not know how long the laughter was heard then disappeared and the door that had been opened and then closed again.
I tried to open my eyes slowly, fortunately the monstrous creature was gone. I slowly got up and got some water. Just a mouthful of water soaked my throat, suddenly the wind blew strong even though the windows and doors were tightly closed. I was choking because of that.
The door was wide open again. My heart felt even tighter when I realized a head was rolling towards me. The glass I was holding was thrown in any direction.
"I know you're still up, Hanna. Come on, let's go back." That shattered face displayed a terrifying smile. Blood was also on the floor.
"N-no! Go!" I tried to get rid of the head that kept rolling and getting closer to me.
"Please! Intan! Wulan! Help me!" I tried to wake my two friends up but they stayed asleep, as if nothing had happened. Though I was frightened because I kept being visited by the terrible ghost.
"Shut up! Now back to where we came from!" If the head was seen laughing, now the face that was almost all of the chipped was showing anger. His eyes that were dangling were getting lit up.
The headless female ghost entered slowly. My body, which had been fine, suddenly turned limp and helpless. My tongue can no longer speak.
Slowly a hand filled with maggots dragged my body without me being able to resist. While his left hand was dragging me, his right hand was picking up a head that was constantly laughing. I could feel my body ache having to go down the stairs by being dragged. My head had to clash with the floor many times. I wanted to scream and fight but was helpless. My limp body was slammed by the creature into the bed. In this terrible room I saw the head hanging from the fan. If yesterday I saw the head was silent, now the head is spinning while continuing to laugh horribly.
My body was covered in blood as the blood of the head continued to splash like it was bathing in blood. The smell of carnation was of course so pungent as if calling the maggots to come closer.
"Aarg! Help me!" My screams howled pleading for the monstrous woman to stop her actions. However, the creature certainly did not pay attention to my fear instead he grew louder and louder. Everything went back dark.
My eyes started to open when I thought someone was shaking my shoulder. I better not open my eyes because I'm afraid she's the body of the headless woman who dragged me last night.
"Han, wakeup! How's this, Tan? Did Hanna faint?" Samar I heard a familiar voice for me.
"Oh, try this you smear eucalyptus oil." The strong smell of oil made me open my eyes. Thankfully, the two in front of me were my new friends. Wulan helped me to sit down.
My eyes were staring at the room around me. This is my room, what it means last night was true. The ghost came and dragged me. I stared at my hands and body, I was still wearing the Intan shirt, the same shirt I wore before the tragedy. I remember last night the ghostly head washes me with its rancid blood, but why is it now clean as if last night was just a dream. However, if this is just a dream then how can I be in my own room.
"Mbak Intan, how's Ms Hanna doing?" I glanced at Mother Wati entering my room in a hurry and brought a glass of tea water. The middle-aged woman thrust the glass into Intan's hands.
"Drink first, Han. Look at your body soaked in cold sweat." I hugged my friend's body trembling, I was afraid the creature would come back.
"The ghosts came up and dragged me down. I-I'm scared, Tan."
I shed tears on my best friend's shoulder. Slowly her soft hands rubbed my back and made a hint of calmness in my heart.
"What creature, Ma'am?" Last night I saw Ms. Hanna walk down to the room, even I had time to say hello but Ms. Hanna was silent."
"But last night the ghost came and dragged me. My head hit the stairs several times, and the creature continued to wash me with its blood. But why am I okay now. What was last night was just a nightmare but if it was just a dream, why did it feel so real. Tan, I'm not afraid." My tears are getting broken, I don't understand everything that's going on.
"Already, Han. Maybe last night you had a sleepwalking disorder. Just like my sister there was something like that. At first sleeping in the room, or walking alone to the bathroom while he was still sleeping. His name is if it's not wrong Somnambulism." Wulan also tried to make me believe this strange incident is just a sleep disorder. I don't know, the more I try to believe people's words, the more confused I get. The pain in my head was getting throbbing and unbearable.
"Already, on getting out first, let Hanna rest." Intan said that Ibu Wati was also some people who gathered in my room. There are only two new friends left.
"Han, you calm down."
"I'm scared, Lan." Only that word can come out of my mouth. My two best friends painstakingly comforted me. As my fear began to wane, I realized I had to work right away. Initially Intan forbade me because of my unstable condition.
"But, Tan, it's my second day at work. It's not worth it if I have to take a vacation. Anyway, at my place of work, I hope I can forget my nightmare last night."
Wulan and Intan followed my wishes. Even Wulan who was part of the afternoon forced to take her to the factory. I was about to reject it because this distance, the index and the factory were very close but the mother of one child was stubborn. He also bought me food for breakfast. I am grateful that even though I have only known him for a day, Wulan and Intan are like a new family to me.
I immediately took a quick shower as the shadow of the dipper that turned into a severed head last night was still clearly recorded in my mind. After all, the bathroom that was supposed to be cold felt very hot while I was in it, like there was him who seemed to live there.
"Ready. I'm off to work, Tan." I say goodbye to my best friend who is playing on a cell phone in front of my room.
"Han, you want to go to work now? With this look?" His face was wrinkled.
"Yes, why?"
"Such pale as someone who is sick. Here come my deket!" His hand waved, asking me to come closer to him. While his other hand reached into his little bag. "Brake!" orders again. I followed his orders because I knew Intan was a slightly fierce and chatty woman. Apparently the woman wiped my face with powder and applied lipstick to my lips.
"Well, this is beautiful!" I asked scratching my head hoping that my face was not like the one who was about to go away. I'll remove it when I'm at the factory, it's time I leave. I was about to close the door of the room when a pair of ghastly faces looked at me from the bathroom and showed off his black and pointed teeth.
