Mystery of Room 13

Mystery of Room 13
Section 14: What's In That Building?

The sun that began to shine on the earth and the fresh morning air was at least enough to calm the heart after being trapped overnight in a magical village. My footsteps swayed along with the steps of some people who were willing to take me back to my senses because to return to the house of Indah, I did not memorize the address even the way to his house.

From a distance I saw my senses a lot of people swarming. I don't know what happened there.

"What is this, Ma'am?" ask the people gathered there.

"A-anu, Ma'am. Something's missing again in this index."

"missing? Who's missing? Wouldn't it be if there was something missing that was the occupant of room thirteen? But..."

"Yes, Mother. He said last night the occupants of the room went home, and still not out of the room."

Of course I was surprised by the words of people who did not seem to be residents of this index. "But, Sir. I am the resident of room thirteen. I'm not missing! Already, I want to see the situation inside."

I broke through the crowd of people gathered in front of the gate. Meanwhile in front of my room there were some people gathered, even Beautiful looks roaring. While Intan and Wulan cried. "I shouldn't have obeyed last night to go back to this damned room, Ma'am. I should've forced you to stay in my house."

I was getting more and more clueless about this situation after I heard the Beautiful Concoction, the girl I saw yesterday was in the group of the dedemites.

"Beautiful! What's the matter? To..."

Seeing my arrival made Beautiful run to meet and hug me. "Mbak, where are you? I thought I'd lose you like Miss Gayatri. I think that evil creature brought you into his world."

"Hanna, where have you been? We've been worried since. You're okay, right?" Wulan looked at me from the end of my hair to the end of my legs.

"I'm doing fine. I'm just confused why everyone's gathered here."

I looked at everyone in my index. They all looked at me with a hard look. The man who helped me seemed to understand my confusion, he gently asked all the citizens who were crowding to disperse.

"Bak, we say yes. May you always be in the protection of the Almighty. If you need help, please contact me. My house is at the end of this alley."

After the departure of the residents as well as other residents of the index, the four of us decided to talk in Intan's room.

"Sir, why did you suddenly come back here last night? Your room is haunted, Ma'am. Where do you come from, why suddenly from outside?"

"How could that happen? I didn't even come last night. Last night I followed you who suddenly left, until I finally got lost in a village full of mystery. There I was chased by a ghost head and stopped at the symbiotic house. When you want to eat the food served by the symbol, suddenly everything changes. I'm not in that simple house, but I'm locked in a tomb surrounded by a high trellis fence until the men help me."

Intan, Wulan, and Beautiful looked at each other when they heard my story. I don't know what's on their minds right now. The three were silent as confusion.

"Well then, who did I bring here in the middle of the night? Who would I screw up if it wasn't you, Ma'am?" Beautiful eyes were now fixed on Wulan. "Sir Wulan, how is this?" Beautiful looks rubbed his nape.

"I'm confused too, Ndah. This why goosebumps like this?" Wulan showed her hands that did look goosebumps.

"Keep that last night you didn't come home, who ate my boiled noodles?"

The words of my friends are like a very complicated puzzle for me to arrange. I don't understand exactly what happened all night long as I got lost in that village of Dedemit. "Are any of you willing to explain it to me?" I asked as I looked at the three women sitting with their chin up in front of me. The three of them looked at each other and coded each other.

"Let me tell you the story first, Ma'am. Because this strange incident started at my house." Finally Beautiful opened the sound after a long time of silence smothering the room whose paint faded it. Beautiful sounding snorting and breathing violently.

"So this is it, Ma'am. Remember not when I went into the house to get us a drink?"

"Yes, I remember. Because not long after that you came out empty-handed and ran to get into the terrible village."

The sweet girl shook her head. "That's not me, Ma'am. Because I went out with two glasses of water and a packet of banana chips, but Sister Hanna wasn't on the porch. As I search into the house there is no. I ran out of the house turned out to be Ma'am again way, I don't know where."

"Continue?"

"Well, lovely chase. I asked, she said Hanna wanted to go home. I'm trying to persuade you tomorrow because it's night. Uh, Sister Hanna snapped at me instead. And I keep asking Ms. Hanna to wait, let me transfer the bike. Get here, without saying, Sister Hanna entered the room while slamming the door. I'm sad, Ma'am. Why is Hanna's mom so rude."

Seeing Beautiful telling stories while shedding tears made me feel guilty, even though in reality it was all outside my power because the figure that Beautiful met, was not the real me. He's just a genie who resembles me. I held her tiny body in my arms.

"Sorry, it's already hurt your heart."

Immediately Beautiful wiped her tears. The girl shook her head strongly. "It wasn't Hanna's fault. The occupants of your room just like nosy."

"Hush, don't talk so much. I'm afraid that ghost will bother you too." Wulan reminded Indah to keep her words.

"Astagfirullah. Amit-amit's a baby."

"Keep how, Ndah, after that what happened?" I hunted Beautiful with a deep curiosity.

"I want to go home when I cross paths with Madam Wulan who just entered the gate. After talking for a while, I go home while I leave you."

I smiled at the young girl, even though she had been yelled at by him who was similar to me was still kind-hearted and worried about my situation.

"Well, after Beautiful came home. I samperin you, Han, to your room. I want to take you to sleep in my room because I'm afraid that you're being terrorized by ghosts. The one in the room was a ghost. Fortunately, he refused, citing fatigue. If you want to be a Berabe. Yeah, well, we're just like ghosts."

Wulan chuckled as if she wanted to melt the atmosphere that had been so tense and filled with fear. The laughter that broke for a moment made us free from fear.

"That's still a question. The ghost turned out to be very fond of eating boiled noodles. Twice you he asked for cooked boiled noodles." Intan said while smiling. He told me last night that he came home around two o'clock in the evening or an hour after Wulan's arrival.

When Intan came he saw me sitting in front of the door with a chin. Intan immediately approached me and offered to make boiled noodles. Intan saw clearly I smiled when she heard him.

For a moment the silence came back to the four of us. Mutually silent and preoccupied with thought maybe even a new mystical experience each of us experienced.

"Then why did you think I was missing?"

"So I was told Mbah Uti, Ma'am, to pick you up. But when I came here you didn't exist. Even Ms. Wati who just returned from her brother's house to open the door to your room with a spare key, but there was no one inside. I'm scared, Ma'am. The incident experienced by Ms. Gayatri repeated again." The girl inched closer and hugged me tightly. Wulan and Intan followed closely.

"Thank God, Han. You're fine."

After that heartwarming meeting. The four of us decided to sleep in Intan's room even though each other huddled to maintain the condition of the body in preparation for later tonight we had to work a night shift.

A sound sleep after a senseless event that drains energy can be said to be quite helpful for physical recovery. Azan Zuhur clamored, forcing my eyes open. Lazy feeling momentarily ambushed but as great as the figure of the father with his broom is reflected in the mind. His words when I was lazing were ringing.

"No prayers, broomstick floats!"

I woke up and smiled to myself. Although far from the father but his orders and threats stuck in the mind. Wanting to wake up the three friends in this remote place, but seeing the three who are so good makes me not have the heart. I'd better wake up later after the prayer. I hurried to get some ablution water to purify myself. When I was about to hold a new prayer room I realized Intan's room did not fit because to sleep my friends we just had to crimp each other.

I thought hard about where I should live my duty. Do I have to pray in my room, but there is a great fear when I imagine the ghosts that are constantly terrorizing it.

I let out a long sigh, it seems that I have no other choice but to worship in the room that is already famous for its awesomeness. For worship in the room Bu Wati also feels bad. I was afraid to interrupt his activities.

I steadied myself to go down the stairs and enter the room I rented a few days ago. I remember very well the first day when I was doing my duty there was a hot air in this room, then what now. Ah, I hope it's okay.

I slowly opened my room. I left the door open so that the stuffy air trapped inside the 3x3 meter room was replaced with new and fresher air. I opened the curtain that covered the window with trembling hands because it was from this window that the ghost of the head appeared when I was making a video call with Intan.

This room, nothing has changed since the last time I was here. Even the towel that had fallen on the bathroom floor was still lying there. Nothing is different in the least. It's just that a little strange, the bathroom floor that looks wet like it has just been used but the water does not wet the towel. Ah, I don't know.

I wet the mop in the corner of the bathroom. I slowly cleaned this room in the hope that if this room was clean as well, not stuffy, then the subtle creatures were reluctant to stay here. It is said that they really like to live in a dirty and humid place.

Sweat began to flood my body because of my activities this afternoon. A few times the other occupants of the room greeted me and talked to me a little. On average pray that I feel at home and no longer disturbed by invisible creatures.

"Thank you, Ma'am. Hopefully after this there are no more strange events and make the other residents uncomfortable. Amelinn."

I spread out my prayer rug to prepare to face the Creator and ask for His protection. The hot air started to ambush when my takbir I was slowly laying. Though the doors and windows deliberately I opened wide, the wind also from earlier as a greeting. I try not to care about this change.

As the prostration of the disturbance began to get louder. The sound of the tap water was open and the water was rustling when clearly there was no one. When the greetings were said, behind me there was a thumping sound like something was falling. In trembling and fear, I tried to keep my heart strong to keep praying.

Again and again when the prayer was finished, the air of the room changed as it should. I was about to fold the prayer mat when suddenly Beautiful was in front of my room door.

"Alhamdulillah, I think Sister Hanna was brought by the ghost again," said Indah with a breath that sounded stingy. Sweat came out of the girl's forehead.

"You've run, Ndah?"

"Yes, Mother. I worry about you because once you wake up you don't exist."

"Thank you for worrying about me, Ndah." I hugged her tiny body gently.

The sky was dark with the stars shining, I was already in the house of the Beautiful old man. Because Wulan and Intan are in the afternoon shift, so neither of them is willing to take the risk by leaving me alone. They don't want anything to happen to me because of the invisible creature's disturbance.

"Mother Hanna, are you ready to go?"

"Yes, Ndah. You're the one who's been twirling around here and there." I smiled a little at the girl wearing the thick red jacket. Beautifully scratching her head as well as her face met red perhaps out of embarrassment.

"That's it, my jacket tucked away, Ma'am. The jacket I met, uh, my socks are a lost change."

"Yes already. It's complete yet your need? Pillows, bolsters, mattresses, have they all been brought?"

"I want to work, Ma'am. Not moving to sleep." Your pouting face made me laugh amusedly.

After saying goodbye to Indah's parents as well as her grandmother, I and Indah flocked to the garment where I was looking for fortune. Lovely deliberately turning the road so that we do not pass my index. In this huge factory, these nights feel so scary. It was pitch-black, there were only a few lights on. Especially in the special parking lot of employees whose place is next to the spinning building, it seems that anyone will not feel at home for long there.

My eyes were wide open when in one of the windows on the second floor of the spinning building, a light appeared. Isn't the word Beautiful yesterday in the building there is a prohibition that there should be no lights on there.

"Ndah, Beautiful. Look at that spinning building why is it so bright?" I asked Beautiful who was combing her hair.

"No way, Ma'am. In the building there will be a taboo that there should be no lights on," replied Indah without even turning her head towards me. His eyes kept staring at the rearview mirror of his motorbike.

"Look first!" I pulled Beautiful's hand so I thought I'd see the lights in the spinning building constantly flashing.

"Where the hell, Ma'am?"

"That's the second floor, window number three."

"Where? It's so dark, Mom."

Especially this? Though my eyes catch the glowing light, why Beautiful can not see. My eyes were round when suddenly a pocong-like figure stood firmly behind the window of the spinning building.
