Retta & Rylan Chapter 8

“So Retta's parents said if her wedding would be cancelled.” Noah began his conversation with his sister. 

Rylan had already guessed that would happen, considering that there had been a great fight. However, why did her brother speak so seriously to her, made her astonished. “I already know the reason marriage is off.”

“Good if you already know, so it is not too difficult for you to understand what I will explain.” Noah felt no need to bother explaining.  

Rylan knitted his brows. I was confused as to why his brother spoke like that. Though clearly. “Indeed you want to explain what?” tanyakanya. 

“I want to explain if Retta's parents ask you to marry Retta.” Noah finally said what the Retta family had said. 

Rylan rounded his eyes when he heard what his brother said. “Means the wedding will continue and not be cancelled?” tanyanya. 

“Iya, continue with a different groom,” explains Noah, “parent Retta definitely does not want to bear the shame. So they chose to continue with the other groom.” 

Rylan knew for sure, the effects of cancellation would definitely be overwhelming considering if Retta's parents were successful entrepreneurs. However, he did not expect that he would be a substitute for men. For a moment Rylan recalled how Retta's parents had asked about her. However, it was unexpected that the question was a consideration being made by Retta's parents.

“Do you want to marry Retta?” Noah was finally at the core of his talk.

For a moment Rylan was silent. He still felt this was a dream. She did hope to marry Retta, but did not expect it to come true. Though he had already devised a plan to approach Retta if the marriage failed, but when offered the marriage, made him really grateful, because this was much greater than his expectations. 

“Rylan, I asked, do you want to marry Retta?” Noah patted his sister's shoulder which looked dreamy. 

Rylan came out of his mind. His smile immediately stuck at the corner of his lips. “Of course I want.” Rylan would not let go of this precious opportunity. He will do it because he loves Retta. 

“Good if you agree. So I can easily take care of it with Al. Now prepare all your data. Me and Al will take care of it.” It's near noon. Surely they will be in the fog to take care of everything. Moreover, the time is so perfect. 

“Alright, I'll take it.” Rylan was so happy when he was about to marry Retta. He rushed to his room. Prepare all the documents her brother requested. When the running one fell on the floor of the room. Lucky on the floor of the room layered with fur carpet, so that when falling makes it not feel pain. 

Cia, Nora, and Nick laughed at Rylan who had fallen. “Uncle falls,” says Lora. 

“You how did Rylan, why did it fall?” Cia was still laughing looking at her brother-in-law who had fallen. 

“Iya, I'm too happy.” Rylan woke up immediately. Then it passed out of the room. She was really overwhelmed with happiness because she was about to get married with her heart. 

Noah who saw his sister's behavior could only shake in wonder. He who turned his head towards the room, saw his sister fall. His sister looked so happy that she fell. Actually Noah still slipped a sense of doubt, considering the age of Rylan is still very young to get married. 

“So she is getting married to Retta?” Suddenly Cia approached her husband who was still sitting on the balcony. 

“Iya,” replied Noah, “but, I doubt Rylan to be the husband for Retta.” Noah exhaled. Expressing what is on his mind. 

“Trust me she will be her good husband. Moreover, he loves Retta.” so much Cia had known for a long time that her sister-in-law was so fond of Retta. When he got his girlfriend, Cia felt happy.

“Iya, I'm trying to believe.” Noah smiled faintly. Sometimes circumstances and love change a person. He hopes that by getting married and getting responsibility, his sister can change. From his childish attitude to being more mature.

In Rylan's room ruffled his suitcase. Search for some files to use for administration. Actually he was hesitant to finish in a day, but he realized, sometimes with power and money everything would be easy to do, including preparing administration in a day. 

After finding all, Rylan rushed to meet his older brother. Submit the required documents. 

“No need, let me take care of everything. You better use this time to rest, because tomorrow will be your long day.” Noah patted the sister's shoulder.

Rylan nodded. He chose to rest. He's really just arrived. His body is still so tired. If it's not rested there tomorrow he might faint on the wedding day. 

Noah who got the documents rushed to meet Al who was in the hotel restaurant. While there not only Al who exist, but also El-Cousin Al as well as a friend Noah. 

“You're already here.” Noah pulled out a chair and sat his body. The two friends just nodded. “This document belongs to Rylan.” Noah handed out some files that his sister had prepared. 

“Alright, it looks like we will work hard today.” Al really could think of nothing but finishing his sister-in-law's wedding documents. Thankful, yesterday Retta chose to get married on an ordinary day, not on a holiday. If not, surely Al will be more foggy again. 

“What will be finished in a day?” ask Noah to make sure. 

“This time we have to play behind,” replied El. He also helped. Contact some colleagues who are in the government to take care of the wedding documents. 

Noah just smiled. This time, he just followed his two friends. Wishing was as smooth as his expectations.

Rylan couldn't sleep at all. She was really fluttering as she was waiting for her wedding day. While looking at the ceiling of the room, Rylan thought that everything he said had finally come true. 

“I really came to be a bride,” said Rylan who remembered his words to Retta. His words were actually just original. As an expression of his heart. At first, she was married when Retta married her boyfriend.

“Ach .. I can't wait to marry you. Have a child with you and live happily.” For Rylan it was as simple as his expectations, but he never expected that achieving it would not be easy, moreover Retta did not love him.

In the room, Retta continued to cry. He still so regretted his mistake that so believed in his lover. He has placed great hopes on his lover. 

“Why can I be that stupid?” Retta cursed herself who foolishly did not realize at all that her future husband had been keeping secret. 

Three months ago. Retta attends a party held by her friend at her family's hotel. There she accidentally meets Gerald. Gerald was just an invited guest. The man was only invited by his friend who knew Retta's friend. Retta is not interested at first, but when chatting, Gerald can make Retta comfortable. 

Gerald is not a businessman, he said if only a manager of one of the mining companies. How Gerald was not glared with Retta who was a child owner of a luxury hotel in Indonesia, made Retta amazed. Though usually the men who approach him are men who see himself as the son of a Sean Wijaya. 

Retta and Gerald's relationship continues with a meeting at the restaurant. Gerald told me all about his family, about his mother and father. Nothing is covered at all by Gerald. When Gerald said that if he was not interested in finding a girlfriend, and preferred to find a wife, Retta was lulled. The thought of Gerald who did not want to mess around again made it melt. Eventually, they had a more serious relationship.

Retta admits that as busy people, they only meet once a week. It can only be done on the weekend. Retta, who feels lucky because Gerald does not demand that she meet often in the middle of her busy work, feels lucky. It was a sign that Gerald was so mature. 

A week ago Gerald proposed to her parents, after she proposed to Retta on top of a hotel rooftop. Retta was so happy at that time, until finally the decision to get married was taken. Gerald came to Retta's family. Officially applying with his parents. Reveal her intentions. 

“Whose parents did you bring back that time?” Given how Gerald came to be with his parents, he now doubts if it was really his parents. Looking deeper, it seems that Gerald really launched his action in great detail. Until Retta really did not realize if it was just a trick.

“I swear I'll make the calculations on him if I see you again! He could be playing with my heart.” Amidst her tears that continued to flow, Retta vented her sense of regret. “I will never forgive you for breaking my heart.” 

Now Retta can only cry for her fate. Betrayed, deceived, and hurt, now he must bear the anger of the father. His family who was so disappointed in him made him completely helpless. Retta always wants to be the best in front of her mom and dad. Unfortunately, all had to be stained with his carelessness. 

“I'm sorry, ma, pa.” Retta can only regret what was done. She could only cry in her hotel room.
