Regan & Selly Chapter 1

Photo galleries are getting crowded. The guests began to arrive. Some people saw the photos on the wall of the gallery. 

Some of them were amazed to see how the angle of the photo taken by the photographer. Some candid photos taken unintentionally also look beautiful, natural and not made-up. If the photographer looks good at taking photos. 

The eyes are really spoiled with the beauty of the photos displayed on the walls of the gallery. Up to a few of the guests, buy photos for the collection. 

While everyone was busy looking at the photos in the gallery, a woman was also busy looking at the photos of men on her phone screen. Grunts of annoyance were heard when the phone connection he did was missed.

“Where exactly is he?” tanyanya grumbling. Her beautiful face looked grim because the phone connection she did had been fruitless many times.

“Kak Selly, the event will be held in ten minutes.” The voice of the event organizer informed. 

“Alright,” replied Selly-women who had been busy with her phone. 

Selena Selly Adion, 23, just called her boyfriend. However, unfortunately from the dozens of calls he made, none of them were answered. 

The beautiful girl of British descent who lives in Indonesia, felt very upset when the person she was waiting for did not arrive. He should know that today is an important day.

Regan Alvaro Maxton, her boyfriend of four years. The man who was originally his friend since childhood, now turned into his lover.

Today is the first photo exhibition from Selly. Management business graduate girl who has a hobby of photography is always perpetuating many things with a photo. There were dozens of photos that he got, until he finally decided to show it off. At the very least, he wanted to prove to the father who had always opposed his hobby. “If he doesn't come, I'll kill him,” grumbled Selly. His blue eyes stared at the mobile screen bearing the name of his lover. His frustration culminates when he finds out that the lover has not arrived. 

“Kak Selly, the event will start. Please login.” The organizer of the exhibition, back to tell Selly. 

“Iya, I'll be in.” This time Selly resigned when it turns out his lover never came. His presence means so much. Because all this time, he was the one who supported his hobby. Realizing that this exhibition was his dream, he did not want to make his mood sad. Entering the gallery, Selly decided to continue the event without the presence of the lover.

Riding to the podium, he gave a welcome to the guests, “Thank you for coming to my photo exhibition event. Thank you also to the organizers of the event who helped this event take place. Thank you to the family and friends who were also present. I feel happy when the hobby I am engaged in can get appreciation from all of you. I am opening an exhibition event. Some of my work will be sold and money from the sale will be donated to people with disabilities. May we all work together to help others.” 

Selly ended her remarks and got a boisterous applause from the guests. 

Getting off the podium, Selly was welcomed by his family. There were papa and mama-Daniel and Melisa Adion who congratulated him. The mother leaned her cheek to her daughter, proud of her eldest daughter. 

“Goodbye, over this photo exhibition. Mama really did not expect if you turned out to be that great,” he said while hugging his son.  The middle-aged woman's smile was visible on her beautiful face which was getting older by the day. 

“Thank you, Ma.” Selly smiled. Although there was a sense of disappointment in the lover who had not arrived, he felt he had to keep smiling, considering that many came to congratulate him. 

Daniel was next to Melisa. He was the most vocal person against his son's hobbies. The hope is that his son can finish college and work in his office. Continuing construction company-Adion Company. However, after today, he only realized that his son's hobby was extraordinary. So he won't ban it anymore.

“Congratulations, Papa is proud of you.” Daniel hugged his daughter. One kiss he gave at the top of Selly's hair, channeling his love for his eldest son. 

After a long time, he was finally able to prove it to his father. In the past, Selly often argued when going somewhere to look for photos. Luckily, her boyfriend was always there for her.

While being engrossed with his parents, a couple approached. They are Lana and Andrew Maxton - the parents of her lover. Andrew is a business associate of Daniel. Since her parents worked together, Selly and Regan have been friends ever since. Until finally while in college, Selly and Regan decided to establish a relationship more. 

“Goodbye, your photos are really amazing,” said Lana while hugging Selly. 

“Thank you, Bi,” Selly replied while replying to Lana's embrace.

"I didn't expect if you could produce amazing photos.” Andrew Maxton's voice praised Selly. Then he turned to his friend. “Your son is great,” you said to Daniel.

Daniel smiled proudly. Enlist 

many compliments to his son made him so happy. 

“What Regan hasn't come?” ask Lana to Selly.

“Not yet,” replied Selly while shaking her head. 

“Basic! Already know today is an important day, why also he has to work.” Lana is not thinking about her son. His son who once worked a hobby, made him forget his lover. “I'll call.” Lana took the phone and tried to contact.

“I've contacted, Bi.” 

“Have you contacted the office?” ask Lana and get the headband from Selly. 

Having a meaningful answer no, Lana eventually contacts Regan. Because Regan was still meeting, Lana left a message to her secretary to tell Regan to come to the gallery. 

“Then we go home first, we prepare a party for this happy day,” Daniel said to all who were there. 

“You are right, today should be celebrated,” timpal Melisa. Turning to Selly, he said, 

“Honey, we go home first, to prepare a party. Are you okay by yourself?”

“No, Ma. I'm it's okay. I'll finish this exhibition. Anyway I'm sure Regan will be here soon.”

“Alright then,” replied Melisa. 

Finally, Daniel, Melisa, Lana and Andrew said goodbye and left the photo gallery. Leaving Selly alone.
